    The decline of car ownership is still a good thing to create more job opportunities like this! It's great to have more mushroom farms than ever.

    Douglas Shaw, you are a good journalist but I do not quite understand the "rocket technology" can you explain to me please

      @dougalshaw Před 4 lety

      Rocket is the name of the mechanical composter (shaped like a rocket). It can decompose food on an industrial scale. The ones in this film do 2 tonnes of food waste per day, but bigger ones can handle more. They can turn food waste into compost in about 2 weeks, instead of 6 months or so. They are like a big human intestine! They churn the food waste around and regulate oxygen supply and temperature.

    I would dispute the assertion 'you have to have the penalty to get the meaningful behaviour change' because our (BetterPoints') programmes are proving that positive incentives are an important part of the mix when it comes to behaviour change. But they have to be meaningful to the individual, reviewed, augmented, reinforced and iterated - which is where technology, sound methodology and enthusiastic programme teams become important.
