One character that i like from ederson is he never panic even he concede 1 or 2 goals in a game.. he never panic and always delivered good passing to his teammates

I have honestly never seen a goalkeeper with the distribution and ball control of Ederson. Ederson feels more like a midfielder than a goalkeeper when he has the ball at his feet.
I think Neuer is much better (in his prime time), but Ederson is young... he got time to grow and improve. :)

Joe Hart is a traditional type of GK after all.
I think Pep has given him chance in the pre-season and failed, that's why Hart is loaned out at that time... and he failed to make improvement (or impression) and got sold thereafter.

In my opinion Ederson is better than Allison. Ederson is more composed under pressure . He is also a good penalty saver.
Both fantastic, ederson better all round through composure n skills. But besides da , they both got good defenders . Liverpool got a rock in their defence but city forces their opponents to sit back way more . So both goalkeepers are great . But I'd choose ederson

Alisson is more of a risk taker on the ball but hes better with his shot stopping. Ederson is better and much more consistent with the ball but hes slightly weaker with his shot stopping.
hard to choose but I would say they are both more suitable to their own teams.

if u need a sweeper goalkeeper i think ederson is the best right now, always calm when holding the ball on him feet.
if u need defensive goalkeeper still de gea, if he in form is hard to make any goal on him.
Yep, there's no comparing the two, they are two different type of GK.
Kinda like how you can't really compare Messi and Ronaldo, they're the best in their own game.

@@syarhulsanchez9363 Yes, honestly United's defense line sit way too low for a Sweeper Keeper. United's keeper should stay at the box because if he moved too high then long-range shooting is easy as the opponents are too close to the goal. Anyway, if United had a defensive line as good as Ferdinand and Vidic at their prime, I think De Gea would have been the top 1 in clean sheet thou.

I think Ederson is still a level or two behind the prime Neuer, but he's still quite young thus had more time to get more experience and grow to become the best (if not one of the best) sweeper-keeper in the future.
When it comes to sweeping yes maybe but I think Ederson's ball distribution is already better idk hahaha. But you're right to say that Ederson can still grow and become better. Together with Allison, Brazil has gotten great GKs again!
Brazil have a great young national team... they just need a great manager to come along. :)

I have him on PES 19. He's got traits - Low punt trajectory, GK long throw + playing style-offensive keeper. I use him to launch the ball straight to aubameyang, eliminate 8 players in 0.5 seconds. Perfect keeper for launching counter attacks

Honestly,for Brasil If Alisson is in good form,then I would pick him as the starting XI goalkeeper.Because Brasil has a formation buildup which is mostly set for intense attacking.In addition,Brasil has their two full backs who are attacking-minded,usually join the attacks.So,Brasil probably don't need some great passing from the goalkeeper,as Brasil has their world-class defender.Instead,Brasil needs a goalkeeper who has better positioning sense,because of the attacking-minded fullbacks,a space is created in the defence line which sometime becomes devastating for Brasil.That's why a goalkeeper who is perfect in terms of positioning sense must be the first choice.
I told everything based on my observation.I won't say that I know that much.When I compared these two goalkeepers,I found that alisson is better regarding positioning sense.You would realize if you have watched copa america 2021 final against Argentina.Ignore me if I am wrong.🙂

To be honest as an Arsenal fan he is my favourite goalkeeper of all time only because of that ball-playing trait. I like fielding a targetman alongside some tricky wingers and a 10 and his long balls are key to such. It is a nightmare to defend against

I am barca fan, I think stegen is not so good compare to Alison or Ederson , stegen not reflexible, he mostly fail at nearby shot or head shot
He might lag in other areas but reflexes, no buddy.

I am a city fan.. In terms of shot stopping, I would say allison much better than him because allison always position himself in the right position.. He is aware of the danger without doing a lot of diving.. Stay in the right position was enough
- it is different from ederson.. Sometimes he is lack in sensing the right position.. But no doubt he is in form, I would say he is the same level just like allison
2. In terms of passing, I would say ederson have a flawless feet... There is no doubt about it.. He is calm and composed with the ball at his feet... Dont forget he is already have two assist.. Both from his goalkeeping area which show how strong his left foot.
For allison.. Still very good with his feet but not flawless like ederson.. But I would say he is there and close enough with ederson..

Stop comparing Alisson and Ederson these two are great goalkeepers,bear one thing in mind that these two play different systems,overall man city has better midfield line compared to Liverpool’s current midfield line,Ederson shouldnt worry much if he happens to lose the ball the midfielders would have done the recoveries job meanwhile Liverpool have to rely on Van Dijk ONLY once they lose the ball Liverpool’s midfield will be really weak when it comes to defending! Alisson did more blunders cause he knew that only Van Dijk can help him to recover the ball so he pretty much get panicked easily on a 1v1 situation if he sees Van Dijk isnt there to help him out
