“The flying machine bounces back and forth.” This error usually occurs when you build the java edition flying machine in minecraft bedrock. The redstone works VERY differently on bedrock than it does on java. The bedrock tutorial is the second flying machine in the video.

Hey man, thanks for providing a clear and quick tutorial. Too many people would make this into a 10+ minute video going in-depth on stuff such as why a piston is sticky. We need more people who make short but effective tutorials like this one.

If you're having trouble staying on the blocks or getting the machine working (on the switch version of bedrock for example you dont move with the machine), Place two normal railways and a minecart on either of the honey blocks and ride the cart. I find having a cart on the honey connected front-wise to the sticky piston (aka having the cart in the direction you want to move in) is most reliable.
If it's going back and forth, you used two of the same piston. Grab a normal piston and a sticky piston, place the sticky piston in the direction you want to go, and the normal piston on the opposite side.
You can also plays a boat on honey block

You can also put a slime or honey block behind u :). I managed to make two seats that work for both directions like that :D

I did this for my bedrock world and it bloody worked, I have a hardcore mod enabled to actually have hardcore in bedrock. That's besides the point, I used it to get to the end cities and a little lag gave me some scares but i made it anyway. ty for the tutorial and im glad i could trust your design

Just add 2 slime blocks off of the side in the rear of the flying machine, set 2 stone fence with a rail and minecart Infront of them.
I recommend for easy activation stack blocks behind the observer to poor water on top of the stack while seated in the minecart.
any tips on getting it to stop? i built this flying machine for the end islands, it was great, but had issues getting it to stop where i wanted. died many times. of course, i was prepared for such a risk and brought an enderchest that i loaded up before i took flight, but it was still pretty frustrating

finally a bedrock/java tutorial that works on bedrock
I made this in Bedrock edition, and in completely open air, it just goes back and fort in 4-5 block intervals.

The second design was the bedrock edition version at 1:15

I think you can connect them together, I don’t know exactly how though. And I believe you should be able to place a chest on them.
You can place chests but not shulker boxes they just break but if you break them at the same time they break you dupe them

On bedrock it keeps going back and forth?
Can you still ride on the machine if you aren’t on the honey blocks? This used to be a feature but they might have changed it in 1.17.
In Java edition, if you create the machine in a certain way then you should be able to ride it.
Sorry, I forgot to specify that I play on Bedrock Edition and I believe it is a bug but I’m not sure. Thank you for the help.
No problem, I believe you should ride the machine fine without honey in bedrock edition.

Just a tip if you are like me and keep falling off the back use honey or slime blocks to add a one or two block back to it and you won't fall off

Does it have to be obsidean to make it go back and forth? (Specifically in Bedrock, thanks)
Well I placed obsidian because obsidian can’t be moved by pistons. Another cheaper alternative may be to place a line of around 12 blocks facing in the direction of the machine. Since pistons do have a push limit.
