Ive tried doing this for a vizio tv with the original remote and it doest work. The blinking light stops when i hit the power or volume buttons on the tv remote and it doesnt connect.
Thanks Jason! This worked for the power button however unable to get the volume buttons to work. After getting in setup mode (solid blue light), choose vol up/down, and it just keeps flashing and doesnt do the 3 flashing lights then solid. Thoughts?
Some TV's remotes are Bluetooth, yours might be one. I have a Sony TV and the remote did work, so I used an old Sony remote and then it worked.
@@JasonTech I'm having the same issue as @NicholMWatson but I totally jacked up my initial Power Button and now I'm unable to obtain (once again) that solid blue light just to start the process over again for the Power Button. I'm using the remote for my cable box as I don't have the original tv remote. Any other suggestions on how to get back to square one (blue solid light) to start the process with the power button? Hi Jason. My new V3 box is arriving today. Should I connect this box via ethernet or WiFi? I have 1Gig service, WiFi 6, WiFi 6e, strong Orbi mesh Wifi satellite distribution throughout house.
Hardwired is always the best way to go, but I have tested this box both ways. Hardwired & Wi-Fi. and I had no issues. Keep in mind I am on Wi-Fi 6.
Hi Jason, hope you can help. I am an old guy with a low tech IQ. I have a LG TV. I am able to get the remote to work except for the power and volume controls. Any suggestions?
Also my v3 came with a small keyboard. How do you set that up.
Do you know what LG TV model you have? Most LG TV's have an air remote. The keyboard remote can not be program to your TV.
So im guessing this wouldn't work without the tv remote?

You have a different problem. Check the HDMI settings on your TV, turn off the CEC. And on the box check the input setting - HDMI.

I followed your directions and programmed the power button. Since doing that, the remote doesn't work. When pressing the power button, it doesn't light up. I changed the batteries, but am at a loss how to get it to work. Help!
Question: Which buttons stop working? Do you have the V2 or the V3 Box? Because those buttons have nothing to do with the rest of the remote.
I have the V3 box. No buttons on the remote work. It is like it is totally dead.

How can I program this to turn my Bose off and on
You can only power off one device. So you will have to pick, the TV or the Bose. But if you turn off the TV and the box, you can leave the Bose on, you won't get any sound out of it.
