BOTTOMS!! before sitting down I hadn't even watched the trailer but I'd been seeing so many requests from you guys saying to watch it, oh and that its about lesbians. I love the running gag that Hazel does not understand sarcasm cause when we hear “yeah let’s do terrorism” is obviously sarcastic but she was like hell yeah let’s do it.

The way the whole plot of the movie unravels bc hazel didn’t understand sarcasm 😭😭
One thing that makes this movie so much more fun, other than it being really good on its own, is the fact that you can just tell the cast had so much fun filming it.
The bloopers at the end were such a perfect choice

i love how you say "everyones unrealistically fruity" but at my high school, private and christian at that, EVERYONE was gay, like even more than in this movie
At my (high) school (other school system) it felt like 3/4 of the girls or afab people in my year are queer (I am one of the three enbys I know of) and like… one guy I know about. Was just talking about this with my best friend yesterday
At my all girls Christian school we had 28/150 were lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals. So a lot 😂
i dont know how gay my school is but from elementary to high school i always had majority of my friends being gay, so in shows or movies i always feel that ‘everyone being gay’ isnt a valid criticism bc i feel we tend to find each other even unintentionally. like i was only friends with gay people and hears later found out i was gay so its a really fun experience

Hazel not understanding sarcasm is one of the best bits in the movie. Its a bit of a slow burn but its SO good once you realize it's happening.

this movie works so well because of how committed the cast were to the bit. like it could have easily been horrible but they are all so earnest with their performances it makes it 10000x funnier. like the plot is absolutely ridiculous but GOD are they all giving the performances of their lives especially havana rose liu. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE COMPLICATED NEEDLE DROP. this movie is a masterpiece.

I love how everyone ends up loving Hazel. She's so pretty, reasonable, smart, and just gets a crap deal from everyone.
Me and my brother watched this together. We where rolling around wheezing from the foot ball players. Like my brother had to step out because he couldn't breathe. I almost passed out from laughing so much. The football players were in full pads for the entire movie, the football player in the cage during class, and the football players going out of their way to roll over the cars. It was amazing.

kinda crazy how Brad says this movie is so far from reality but when you think about it some of this crazy stuff can be translated perfectly to the reality of women. Like hazel getting kicked in the face that hard "isn't right" and over the top but i think it was a good choice because that's what it feels like to be a woman facing patriarchy, you're being gas lighted, told that you're not good enough and can't fend for yourself or what the teacher said "I knew women were evil"... this movie is so good at making you feel a lot of upset emotions like "wtf people shouldn't treat others like that" like yeah people wake up this is the reality for a lot of us! also how they address double standards is *chefskiss*

It's a 90's movie starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane as a gay couple who have to pass as straight and it is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen! It is camp, and cunt, and color all the way.

if you wanna see Nicholas Galitzine {prince henry in rwrb/jeff in this movie} in ANOTHER gay film where he's a gay guy, watch Handsome Devil. I watched it ages ago before he blew up in acting. It's a really good movie and the main guy is an out and proud irish guy {from what I remember} and they all go to boarding school. Highly suggest. Not even just for Brad {if he even sees this} but for anyone who likes the actor or more queer films. It also has Andrew Scott in it from Fleabag and Sherlock
This isn’t really a ‘fruity’ movie but I think some of the comedic moments would be up your ally which is the movie ‘What We Do In the Shadows’ released in 2014.

i think you’d enjoy ‘but i’m a cheerleader’ as it’s similar comedy but a classic so you’ve probably watched it already, but i also need you to watch ‘only murders in the building’ is sooo good has Selena gomez and some occasional queer elements but one i think you’d get really invested in. :)
