Sometimes it is permitted by time, especially in walk in shops but a 45 min slot and hopefully should be having this sort of conversation - Liam

Dan videos are one of the best of the social media barbers, its what we get asked to do day in day out on the shop floor. This is more useful than crazy fashion cuts with weird ass stuff done to the neckline etc

Dan's haircut is very simple to style. Blast of the hairdryer. And use a matte finish product like the Regal Gentleman Matte Clay or a paste. With this you just want to get a tiny bit of product all the way through with your fingers to show off that texture and add some hold - nothing too perfect, no combs or brushes needed. We'll try get Dan to show how he styles his hair in a future video, if you'd like to see it?

I had my hair cut yesterday, I couldn't get in to the barber I have been using for years , made the mistake of going to another barber at the same salon , guy FUCKED my hair up with maximum carnage. It'll be at least six months until it grows out enough to get it looking like it should. I paid the price for my impatience and infidelity.

@ 13:00 my only critique is to ask that you slow down when talking sometimes. I understand you perfectly 99% of the time but my ignorant American self struggling to understand when you speed up your talking pace around 13:05. Even Google closes captions can’t make it out

Thanks for the feedback, Emily. This video is more about the advice to Toby in the chair so that gents growing out their hair can see how to communicate with a barber as you're going through the process of growing. The hairstyle may not change a lot but it's more to show that communication the whole way. As we know a lot of guys struggle with this process and think you just have to grow without ever visiting a barber or hairdresser, which is great if you can do it but a lot of us don't want to. Hope that makes sense. We're hoping to have more than one video a week out in the very near future, so then we can have the videos you like plus more variety like this. Dan is not trying to be anything, he's just had a variety of experience at all levels in different shops meaning he's combined his knowledge of working in barbershops with hairdresser work to what you see meaning he's comfortable with all types of hair!
