John cooper (lead singer) has his wife on the rythym guitarist, jen ledger is on the drums, she joined right after comatose album dropped she joined as a drummer cus she was extremaly talented, playing prog metal at 18 and learnt double kick in a week. She eventually started singing and now the lead and drummer sing together.
As for complexity, skillet actally has some pretty complex tunes, this song is prolly thier most basic song.
They just dropped a new somg called surving the game.

They have had 2 female drummers. Lori Peters then Jen Ledger. Jen has been with the band for 13 years now since she was 18. In my opinion adding Jen was the best choice Skillet ever made. She adds so much between her drumming and how her beautiful voice sounds with John's more rougher sounding song. Their album Rise is my favorite from Skillet since they gave Jen so much to do on it. From drumming to singing to even doing the artwork. But she has her own band called LEDGER which is my favorite band. Her music connects to me like no other musician has. I feel she is just the biggest hidden gem in the music industry.

Jen actually become the drummer during the Comatose tour not the album. Her first album was technically Awake. But she played the drums for their live album Comatose comes Alive.
I actually will correct myself her first time drumming with them was during the 2008 Winter Jam tour I believe. That is a pretty big and intimidating starting point too.
This is my favorite album of the band, many good songs from this, even in the deluxe edition.
Jen ledger there drummer is super talented. She joined after there old drummer Lori peters left. She joined at 18 and has been singing as a back up. Awake and alive or the resistance is a good to listen if you wanna hear more of her.

Some of they're songs have spiritual lyrics but at the same time they can be uplifting. But at the same time some of they're songs have to do with they're personal struggles.

Lori Peters was their first drummer before she retired she trained Jen Ledger as she debuted with the ban in the Comatose Live Tour . Her first album with the band was Awake & she is the second vocalist. She has a side band called Ledger.
There’s 2 females and 2 males in the band… the drummer is Jen Ledger and she has her own music…John Cooper the lead singer and is married to the female guitarist her name is Korey Cooper, next is Seth Morrison he’s the lead guitarist! Skillet is an amazing band!

You should also check out the drummer Jen Ledgers solo project Ledger or John and Seth’s side project Fight the Fury. Ledger is a little more pop while Still Breathing is a little more metal than Skillets norm

I think Skillet would be mediocre if it was only him or her, the way they call and answer makes them excellent.
Skillet is the best. But they are canceled because of their faith which is a sad behavior of people.
