    Great set up and instructional video as always Steve. With the new battery and this powerplant you will be prepared for any adventure off grid. Is it long delivery time on the battery?

      Thanks, Mattias, agree when the battery is installed I will never have to sit there at night wondering if I will have enough power the next day 😊. The battery should be in stock in July so will start emailing soon for an update. See your out again venturing on the bike.

      @@BrackstonesTravelAdventures Hehe, yes that was not fun with a battery that was degraded. Knowing that you barely managed the nights. I will get the B2B next week. Have not needed it yet since we do not have much consumption at summer, but will be great when fall and lower temps are here again. I have only got 2 cycles on the battery so far, it counts a cycle when it's below 80% SOC. So I have only been at 80% once since it came new. To use 20% of the capacity I need to charge everything, have a 12v fan going constant and also forget lighting on. This will be good! We were out with the van this weekend and actually stopped at a camping for once 😂👍, this due to that we met up some friends. Last weekend I had some solo quality time and went out out on the bike for some scouting of trails for an event later on. Cheers and enjoy the vacation!

    Hi mate fitted all my new electrics sorted thanks your content was amazing. Just going to replace the solar panel and was wondering was the nds hard wired or was it fitted with mc4 connectors

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před rokem +1

      the nds is hard wired. I did a vlog showing how I removed the panel using wire to cut through the sikaflex now easy. then removed the cable cover. the cables go in above the fridge then into the cupboard next to it where they have two terminal connectors

      If you do not feel confident fitting one on the roof you can setup a mobile one that you can bring out point to the sun when on camped up. Depending on your controller wht you can fit

    got the solar panels today, now I need to buy the brackets. you say "click the link below" sadly I don't seem to be able to do that .could you please tell me how to get the brackets. I have tried eBay but don't seem to be able to find the ones you got. any chance of a photo of the packaging or a reference number please?

      Any aluminum T brackets will work. Seach on ebay there are a number of different ones. You can also bolt the rails on top of the Thule bars and not use the brackets this will raise the solar panels a bit. Try this link www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284244519431?hash=item422e4b2a07:g:yqMAAOSwkw9gaNDw&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoGtSXFiWsuh5xXz5rOjeo6c5oWBJvVyLtCpyaoz9EkAXOWajVjmPQlspFTInNauYVovq3AI6EYaQx7HvYzs4SvGB5v86mmayZfK3q2025%2BOdRVoyfYUibaQCwSVVzOO8DrUajg5gvuDdgLoqI5rO3WzSJ4sdLpd3JyEYKaNJkAZGjMdBd4aczidJfl%2FZl9gFwdb8QzzESoTW3zMEhmMHWtQ%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8LE1a_lYA

    Great video. I would like to pick your brains. I've a v60sp which is made be adria and looking at the video the leisure electrics are the same. I've installed a victron smart shunt but I think it's not showing exactly what going on with the battery's ( 2 X 100ah AGM). When switching things on I initially see a - current reading but then slowly goes back to 0. I've check the wiring and it all looks good to me, but I'm not a sparky lol. Would you be able to advise me on what's going on. Thanks chris

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před 2 lety

      Hi Chris. I assume you have connected the smart shunt on the negative straight from the battery. Also the correct way around. I have never used the smart shunt so do not know the settings. If you go on facebook there is an excellent group called camervan electrics lots of people on there will have the smart shunt and can help you.

    Did you fit the solar panels over your bathroom vent & if so did it cause any problems. Thanks

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před rokem +2

      Yes but it’s not blocking of the vent so there is ventilation and the panels can make a vortex when windy making ventilation better. I have not had an issue doing this but we do not use the shower too much and open the window on vent when we do. I was going to fit a 12v computer fan to the vent wired of the toilet light to vent better but have not found the need to do so yet.

      The Thule bars where already fitted by dealer. I think this is standard for all Adria's. For any fiat ducto they have metal lugs that the Thule bars fit to. On my solar vlog I show how I fitted the ally bars to the Thule bars

    Hi have a Adria twin supreme. Looking at fitting 400 to 500w solar panel victron 30 100 mppt and two 100ah AGM batteries.
    Looking at laying panel across the 30mm aluminium extrusion and bolting down with for brackets.
    Can I ask where you drilled the hole for the solar cables to enter and did you run them down the seat belt pillar.
    Thanks

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před 11 měsíci +1

      the hole was originally there from dealer as my van come with solar panel. it was above the fridge. cable goes down back of fridge the under cooker cabinet then undet floor by sliding door to drivers seat area

    Which way are the solar running from the roof to the solar controller?

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před 3 lety +1

      They connect to the solar cabling already installed by the dealer, just above the right hand side of the fridge, cabling goes into one of the top lockers then behind the fridge under kitchen units to the solar controller.

      @@BrackstonesTravelAdventures Thanks for this video and answers. I would like to do the same. Originally, did you get the NDS Suncontrol mppt ? The positive cable is clearly there but not sure about the negative which is common to panel and battery ? any advise to identify it ? TIA

      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  Před 2 lety

      @@francoistalabot8487 Hi yes I did have the NDS, the negative (GND) cable is the other side of the seat. If you trace the solar positive under the seat you will find a conduit go under the floor. Out of this positive is the negative for the solar panels. I think I showed or explained this on the following vlog czcams.com/video/sUE5khRQOB8/video.html
