you guys know about rock auto right new ones cant be that expensive but the rebuilt ones are like $250 each by all the labor and machining ,i wont argue you guys have the skills but whats your time worth ? nice video
My theory is they make videos like this just to make a very interesting video. Then they throw the compromised part in the scrap bin. (I hope) And that's OK. It was entertaining.
With a little research I think you could retrofit a part from another vehicle at the local junkyard muck easier and cheaper than repairing that your consumables and electric cost more
You must never ever weld a steering component. You don't know what grade material the manufacturer used and therefore you will never be able to guarantee that it won't snap when in use. Doing this is risky and could end up killing someone.
I'm with you. One for my car is $7.98, shipped free, and it's a name brand. So can you imagine how cheap the distributor's wholesale cost is? This guy could beg on the street for a few hours, and have enough to get a new part, not compromised by random welding.
I had no idea you even could rebuild a tie rod end. They’re $13-$35 new. Problem is he will be doing it all again because he used them stupid nylon bushings.

I’m blessed that I can get the whole part@ the auto parts store & just swap it in record time
Brilliant work . Makes me feel very fortunate that I can go get a part like this from a shop on the same day ..
good luck whats his backup? like 1 month waiting list and then what $80 bucks a hour still feel good man ? lol

Fico impressionado com a habilidade desses torneiros mecânicos.
Liked due to hardwork
3rd World M & R. Good work Guys!
I love these videos. You Gentlemen amaze me what you can repair and reuse. The skill and talent you have is amazing.
If it where WW3, basic know-how trumps comp-aided cnc machining
Amigo.

Buen trabajo nada de pirateria te felicito...
Solo me pregunto.
Nice Job 👍 ❤
Unbelievable! The time and cost to do all of that must be at least 3 times as much as what it cost to buy a new one and fit it.
Good work for restoration ka-Metal thanks for this idea lalabs always and support
With a welder and a medieval lathe, this man can hand made a f22
Nicely done. However, I wouldn't want in on my vehicle !
Creation is an art amazing work
Bravo champion super travail de pro
Saludos desde RD tremendo genio

Just buy some Belarus 250 tie rod ends, fully adjustable and cleanable with Teflon inserts
Ongkos kerja dgn beli baru mungkin sebanding... 😅
My theory is they make videos like this just to make a very interesting video. Then they throw the compromised part in the scrap bin. (I hope) And that's OK. It was entertaining.
Seems like it would work ok, but where did they get the parts to rebuild it? Seems like if they can get those, then just get a new one.
You guys are mechanical artists

Very good..very useful..Bro..👍
If you don't want to live long... you can repair the tie rod head like this. omg 😳

How come they never clean the Metal first before Welding, they always weld on shit & rust?
You American babies
Lot of people weld through rust and grease and paint
@@308dad8But the weld is weak & contaminated by crap & rust.
They don't clean anything
These are non-repairable wear parts. And they are cheap to buy replacements for !
Very good 👍👍👍👍
No guys, there should be borders to amateurishness. Of course if you don't care about your life...
In Australia they are so cheap you replace the full set with brand new ones

Cool 😎

Could have run the lathe down it and had a beautiful welding surface
Security piece. Forged. Don't do that.
No problem about craftsmanship. What about metallurgy? I don't think one can imitate the original. Maybe 2 months, finished
Pretty pitiful when your shop can't afford a wire brush. Good job, though! Were you going to put a grease zerk in that threaded hole?
Vậy mà tôi lại mang đi cân ve chai hết 😂
Nice job.

Yea bit of skill strength now compromised tenner for a new one
you forgot the oiler
Hah...now I know what happens to the core parts I have to turn in when buying re-manufactured suspension parts!

That is at least $900 to do in the US.
