The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

I remember watching this match so well because, even though I'd seen Carlos play in a few matches before this, I wanted to watch Tsitsipas because, whatever issues I might have with his bathroom breaks, etc., I nonetheless like his style of play. By the end of the match, I'd become a full-on Carlitos convert--he obviously had things he had to work on in his game, but the power, speed, and intelligence of his play was something so rare and exciting. And when you watch him volley or move corner to corner, his movement is pure elegance.

    Mighty Alcaraz...
I have been lucky enough to see the RAFA, Novak and Roger born in the elite when the 3 were 18-19 years old, and I remember them as if it were yesterday, the 3 left me incredible sensations, but comparing them with the sensations that they transmit to me Alcaraz at the same age of 19 right now, I think Alcaraz wins... I see that Alcaraz is much more complete than the big 3 were at Alcaraz's current age...
Alcaraz has everything, both offensively and defensively, he just has to polish some things and sometimes calm that force of nature that he possesses, which is sometimes like a runaway mihura bull....
And mentally he is superlative, he reads the matches very well, his mind is powerful, he does not fear anyone, he plays freely, he has ambition to win and win, he does not have a complex facing anyone, whoever they are, and if we add to that that tennis It is very complete, we perhaps have what could become the complete tennis player, the closest thing to perfection of what a TOP tennis player should be among the top..
On top of that, he has charisma, he's nice, lively, close to people, he's not haughty or arrogant, he spends a lot of time with the kids and ball boy for example, interacting with them as equals... And on top of his face he's handsome, with what women will adore him, girls will idolize him and mothers will see him as the son they wish they had, and men, a large majority, will feel great sympathy for him...
Right now in the USA, for example, it is a media phenomenon, but in Japan or China, it is too.
Even the big official tournaments like Roland Garros announce it as if it were the arrival of a messiah, a star...
And if to all this, he begins to win GS tournaments without stopping, then we can have an idol of the masses worldwide, that even tennis in general, can generate global momentum and publicity...

I appreciate you giving the Big Picture of what he brings to the table and his affect on everyone. To me, he's the most impressive teenager since Steffi Graff. I'm old enough to have seen the last 30 years+ of tennis. The Maturity of his game at 19, he's not just the future, he's here, right now. Zverev called him the best player in the world *RIGHT NOW*. He presents alot of problems to all players first and foremost his mentality/variety/feel for the game are unmatched for his age. He has all the hype, most wins so far, but here's the test: Can you put it all together for a grand slam? The Mental War of a grand slam and the physical toll it takes on a player is what makes the top guys in the world stand above them all. What it takes physically and mentally to win 1 grand slam, LET ALONE THE FREAKING FRENCH OPEN........I can see a quarterfinal, Nadal vs Alcaraz will be a 4 hour war out there. I'll go with the old War Horse in that one.

In theory, Alcaraz seems to have everything, both offensively and defensively and with a winning mentality, apart from the physique of a Mihura bull... His handicap may be his lack of experience since he was only 18 years old, that is, almost young age...
Perhaps we are witnessing the birth of a legend of tennis and perhaps of world sport...
