I used to notice all the new pharmacies being built and wonder why we need so many. I’m not surprised they are closing down.

I never go to a pharmacy in a ghetto neighborhood. When I can get the same thing half off around the corner.

It's not just the ghetto. The Rite-Aid in Austintown off Mahoning Ave is closing down August 11.

It's happening in Michigan too. Our go-to Rite-Aid closed, so I switched to another nearby one. Now that one is closing too. I like Rite-Aid, it's small and the pharmacists are always nice and caring. They know you and your prescriptions by name. That's important to me.

The Rite-Aid I go to is the one in *Austintown,* off Mahoning and OH-46. And that area is definitely not a low-income area.

The consequences for those 2 years during COVID were far from catastrophic times for any of the drug stores AKA "Rite-Aid, CVS, Walgreens, etc..." economically. Actually quite the opposite my friend. They all made millions if not billions of dollars during the COVID years. Even though their overall profit margins have decreased in dollars & cents, these businesses still continue to prosper even now today. The issues are more about the safety of the employees & innocent neighborhood community's caught in the crossfire. Adding company costs for insurance increases they now have to pay if they're even able to find a company to cover their product losses & public safety lawsuits anymore. It's simply not worth it to most in the long run. They'd rather call it a day & shut the doors while trying to figure out their next move in order to curve this debacle we're in right now. The majority of all this stems from the lack of accountability city, state & federal gov LE agencies refuse to enforce. Yet if by chance they do decide to hold a person somewhat accountable for their actions there's rarely any real consequences or punishment they're being sentenced to for these criminal activities. WTF-OVER! Let's keep it a buck here! 🤔 Just saying... ✌️😜

All of our Rite-Aid pharmacies in the Louisville Kentucky metro area closed around 10 to 12 years ago. A few were bought out by Walgreens but most just closed.

They’re closing because of too many locations. Unless people are doing their grocery shopping at 7-11, most if not all supermarket chains have a pharmacy located inside the store.

The truth is because of the retail theft. This news is only focusing on the loss of pharmacy services. Where I live, 10 times a day people steal from the retail front end store. Sorry, but if there are no laws against theft, stores will continue to close.
