Ambition will play with SSG this season too. Read their official FB page, SSG will stay the same squad. CuVee, Ambition, Crown, Ruler, CoreJJ and Haru as sub. Future of Stich and Wraith is unknown.
That final scene of Faker walking off the stage and looking back one last time holy that gave me chills. I hated that SKT won everything but now I want Faker to come back and absolutely smash everyone

Thank you @LoL Esports for providing us, the viewers, with the Eyes on Worlds series and the numerous teaser videos. From a fan perspective of this tournement, I trully appreciate the work that you guys have done here. I'm always excited to see what is next. This filming crew provide the best picture, from an angle that you wouldn't normally see during live games. I am certain that everyone has moments that they would like to highlight. It could either be moments that grabbed their attention, moment that gave them goosebumps, even so moments that brings back subtle emotions. For me, I was clueless how confident SSG Crown felt on stage. My favorite moment was when he is walking into that sea of people at 6:23 . +(Honorable mentions, Faker walking out on stage at 10:41 . I just love hearing the voice of PapaSmithy narrating over that shot.) One more thing, Congratulation to our 2017 LoL Worlds Champions SSG!

Great video. I love that we saw both perspectives, the champion's one and the challenger. SSG really had this mindset, staying focused until the end. Although I'm sad SKT lost, SSG 100% deserved their victory. Even with a good botlane for SKT, I'd still say that SSG is favored 60/40. They were our bane for most of the year (3 BO3 won out 4) and despite losing in the summer playoffs, they managed to come back. They were more SKT than SKT itself in terms of playstyle this year. 2018 will be exciting.
SSG was able to 3-0 three korean teams in a row,their dominance was somehow mitigated with their group stage performance . They crushed KT, Longzhu Gaming and SKT. 2018 Worlds will be one of the most hyped worlds in my opinion, considering Faker will come back stronger, like he did the time he didn´t make it to worlds.
i wanna see KT, SKT and Samsung at worlds in 2018 if KT can fix their macro if they stay as 5 they have good change to win worlds or get close

I keep watching this. It's been a year and a half, and even though I am an NA patriot, I want Faker to reclaim his spot as King. It is such an epic storyline, and I hope he wins this year, just so the narrative continues because it makes the world of League of Legends that much better, GG Faker. Good luck at MSI this year.

SKT used to win by dominating.
So they were invincible because even when they failed to dominate, they could still make a comeback and win.
Now SKT wins by making comebacks.
And obviously, when you fail to make a comeback, you just lose.
That makes a big difference between 2015 summer/worlds SKT with MaRin & Bengi, and 2017 summer/worlds SKT with Huni/Untara & Blank/Peanut.
Nonetheless, watching 2017 SKT was very enjoyable because all the comebacks they could make were amazing (0-2 to 3-2 vs KT, wombo combo vs EDG, base defense vs MSF, ...).
BTW the whole 2017 Worlds was entertaining (FNC going to quarterfinals after doing 0-4, four of the five "first seeds" failing in group stage (EDG, G2, TSM and Flash Wolves) and the 5th one (LZ) failing in quarterfinals, MSF almost winning 3-1 vs SKT, RNG giving a hard time to both SSG and SKT, ...)
So even though I wanted SKT to win this year again, I know that for the overall LoL competition, it's probably better to have SKT finally defeated at worlds.
Other teams are improving, other regions are getting closer too.
Can't wait for 2018.
This is really great because now this great rival story is completed. Like Mets and Yankees, two rival teams competing each other for a long time. I wonder though, what would've happened if the exodus didn't happen in 2014. If that didn't happen, Korean League might have been like some kind of untouchable god's league or something. I mean, It already is but still.

Faker finishes 2nd in worlds and people start questioning his legacy? He solo carried to the finals, and being 2nd team in the world isn´t bad.
alexander liukko His legacy will sure survive but this was kinda most important game of his life or SKT's history, 3 championships in a row is iconic in every sport but he was denied in this game, anyway his legacy is awesome and will surely survive.
He finished 2nd while being unanimously the most hard carrying player in Worlds with an ADC that only played 6 games in China Solo Q.

If it wasn't SKT's first ever defeat at Worlds it would be less of a big deal.
This Worlds we witnessed the invincible become very vincible and then smashed. It's unprecedented stuff. Faker crying, his Ryze being beaten, SKT getting 3-0'd... The last time SKT were 3-0'd Piglet was the ADC.

Nephie I think your just overthinking the results and placing such narratives can easily be applied to many instances, regardless SSG Summer split was not necessarily terrible in fact SKT had slumped more than them and had only regained form just before playoffs
I know don't worry. I just find it funny and interesting how everything come to the end. "Worlds scripted" is kind of a meme right now. No one truly believes in something like that. I like pointing it out. It reminds me of Kuroko no basket (anime about basketball and scene where the best player cried when he was beaten for the first time )
I can understand how painful it is for faker since a lot of expectations from fans rest on his shoulder. Not only that, Faker has already built his self-confidence around his winning spree and with this lose. It's devastating for him. Faker got exposed so hard this year, no bengi carry this year, bengi is the best player in the history just look at the individual performance of him last year against rox , but I guess faker outplays against Na teams are indicating otherwise according to kids and childish casters

SSG won the tournament but Faker won the hearts of the players, god I LOVE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS!!!!
SSG proved to be better than SKT throughout the year. SSG won 4 out of 6 matches against SKT during 2017, and the 2 matches SKT won, SSG didn't have their full Worlds roster, either Haru was jungling or Stich & Wraith were in the bot lane. Let's hope SKT and Faker bring us the flashiest of plays this 2018. And also, Congratulations Samsung, you earned it.

This is just like a scenario for a movie. Faker is a legend and SSG journey all the way to bring him down. I admire every player in this competition. Both SKT and SSG from 2016 to 2017. They've brought us the best showdowns ever!!
It's 2023 and this is by far still the best Arc in lol world series. 2016 was very tough for crown but a milestone for faker, then 2017 focuses on crown's 2nd chance for vengeance and faker's chance for 3peat. Then crown got his revenge, faker was on his lowest years after and now his at it again.
SSG played this season very very well. i hope they can comback for 3rd title next year! but, the moment when Faker cried killing my soul. OMG

Came here to finish watching this after Jatt mentioned it in This or That. This video was so emotional. I cannot wait till next spring slit. 2018 is going to be full of possibility. Massive changes in NA teams, a new team sitting at the top...and that team who is the world champion has never even won domestically in Korea. I cannot wait for 2018. This will be interesting and everyone's eyes should be open to new possibilities.

Worlds 2017 was the biggest event hosted for e sports I believe. What a better way to end it with two great teams skt and ssg, fighting for the #1 spot. Samsung earned there place as worlds champions. Skt fought hard and strong, but there faliure will provide them with a steady mind for future competitions. E sports has come a long way from when it first started, it's amazing to be able to witnesz it's growth. Worlds 2017 was amazing, cant wait for Worlds 2018!
