Hi Everyone, I'm the guy who took the recording. I felt it might be good to answer some of the comments and give some detail on the bigger picture. First of all I want to say thank you to Justin for being kind enough to review this and post this on his channel.
Also any questions anyone has I'll be happy to answer.
    Some background info first.
We decided to go camping May long weekend and to our surprise out of the 4 campgrounds there we were only 1 of like 4 other people. There were 2 in one campground at the far east. another directly to the left of them. a huge group site which was empty and than another campground. We were the only ones in the last campground west. North of us (where the sounds came from) was just deep bush. As I was gathering firewood, I heard movement in the woods. like one step. Just one. and it moved tree, not just shrub on the ground. I heard this movement intermittently through out the evening before sun-fall. I've been born and raised up north and have seen black bears, wolves, coyotes, moose, elk, deer etc.. I'm no pro at the woods but no stranger to it either. This area, def. Creeped me out. As soon as the dusk was turning into night. The howls appeared. I've heard wolves, I hear coyotes regularly where I live, and hearing this in person, you knew right away it wasn't those animals. So to those who say that it's just wolves... Although I didn't see the source of the howls, I am fairly certain it wasn't wolves or coyotes. There was a dog in the campground two campgrounds to the east of us and once in a while it would bark back at the direction of the howls. Obviously in the video you can't tell the orientation of the source, but the howls were coming from deep north bush and the dog was clearly heard to the east of us. NOT deep bush. After being sufficiently creeped out hearing this for sometime I decided I was going to record the night in case something were to happen. I also want to note that something hit our tent which you can hear clearly at the 8:02 mark. I also recognize that we were in the woods. Everything that occurred could have been anything. But live the situation and it becomes the patterns of weird things that tell your gut something is not right, not regular, or out of place.
1 - Some comments said that I should have used a parabolic and better equipment. To that I answer. I did not go camping with intent of being some Sasquatch researcher and expect to have this happen I didn't bring loads of recording gear and high tech video cam's etc... I had my Samsung s8+ phone. That's all. I used what I had. Now, in saying that. This experience peaked my interest more and I hope in the future to return to that sight and be more prepared for some possibilities. Not gonna lie. it was nerve racking. but kind of cool. I may just make this a hobby. So I apologize for not having better quality.
2 - Some comments point out they can't hear anything or complaining about the audio. I understand that from your room you want to hear instant Sasquatch sounds, like right NOW! Who wouldn't? However, Just a reminder, I obviously did not know when the howls were to occur, how frequent, or how loud or close they would be. So I'm sorry you don't hear constant sounds. I recorded the whole night and started to record after I realized what I was hearing was not ordinary, and to be honest, after I snapped out of it and thought... I need to record!. 8 hours worth. Most of the activity I believe is in the first 1.5H Although I myself haven't listened to the whole audio. Thank you to Justin for clipping the sounds.
3 - Since I know there was a dog to the east of us I'm not doubting that some sounds may be that dog. I'm not claiming what I heard was a Sasquatch. This was an eye opener. I don't know what it was. I can't confirm what it was, but I WANT TO KNOW what it was. I think anyone on this and other sites who haven't seen one first hand have the same feeling. You just want to know. As now I do. Even more! And this recording gives just a bit more of possible evidence to those who have zero abilities to explore that option of seeking for this mysterious truth.
4 - After scratching our heads for about a week thinking "what the hell was that" we came across some sounds from another website that sounded exactly what we recorded and decided to dig on the internet. We found the Alberta Sasquatch Organisation and submitted the recording thinking it could get analysed. I welcome anyone who has the equipment to do so freely.
Again, Thank you Justin for taking the time to get this out there!

5:10 sounds like a Grizzly. Whatever made that sound is HUGE and I wouldn't want to be sleeping in a tent anywhere near that. Were you awake to hear that? The other growls and howls are very interesting. Don't know any known animal to attribute them to.

Yeah i kept hearing that sound throughout the stay. I think thats a slamming of the garbage bin.
For the first hour my eyes were just wide open and thinking to myself.. "what the F#&$" am i going to do if something comes in the campground. I eventually fell asleep though...hesitantly, but fell asleep.

I've heard those sounds in the wilderness of my property in Northern Washington State at the base of the Cascade range . We have a river running through the back side of the property and then just woodlands for miles . I've heard these sounds during salmon migrations and have found multiple footprints by the river as well .
When I first heard those sounds it gave me chills because I instantly knew it couldn't be any human being . The amplitude is insane .They must have a massive lung capacity to make those kinds of sounds . Either that or it's some person who has a PA system in the middle of the woods and a big amplifier to drive it with and a generator for powering it up . Not sure why somebody would go through all the effort to do that at 3-4 in the morning when most people are still asleep but I digress .
The first time I heard this I was sitting by the fire pit and had to go to the bathroom and then went to warm up by the fire .When I was heading back to the tent that's when I heard this thing and instantly froze in my tracks and said to myself WTF was that !! It went on for an hour or so and was both extremely frightening and really fascinating to listen to and something you don't forget very easily .

This recording gave me the creeps . I've heard this exact same thing in my own back yard and not long ago .I had just got home past 11 pm stepped out of my car and was heading to my shop when this sound came through the absolute quiet and shocked the shit out of me . I just froze where I stood .There were no other sounds to be heard ,no frogs,no owls,no dogs barking and no coyotes as I usually hear every night .It was haunting and loud . I tried to get an audio recording onmy Android phone but I was low on memory unfortunately .
It sounded like there were two of them .
One sounded male and had that alpha sound and the other had a more submissive tone as in a female or an adolescent who was much closer to my place.
I wished it had gone on for longer because I did try to get a recording using my video camera for audio recording but as soon as I got it ready to go the sounds just stopped .
My two dogs a German Shepherd and a lab chow mix were totally quiet and wouldn't come out of their dog houses for at least a good hour . Slowly but surely the nightly sounds returned and everything went back to normal .
I live at the base of the Cascade mountain range on the Western Washington side closer to British Columbia , Canada . I've heard these sounds before several times and each time it's scary and all the other animals go quiet .
I've also discovered tracks along a small river that cuts through half of the property but they weren't "big" as many would expect to find . They were approximately a 9 mens shoe size but the big toe and next toe were slightly splayed outwards clearly showing a foot thats adapted to walking on rough terrain.Additionally I've found hair samples that don't match anything else that I've ever seen before .
Where I live is rural farmland country with large plots of land and lots of wilderness everywhere . In almost every case the tracks had to of been made during the night because I check for tracks daily and make plaster casts when it's possible and photograph the tracks for my own records .
Over the years I've noticed that there's a pattern to the activities . They seem to happen around spring and late fall .
There's an abundance of food sources from wild berries ,roots and game everywhere in the area .We have seasonal migrations of salmon as well during the spring and fall .
I'm hoping to get a good recording one of these days and hopefully some video footage once I install remote cameras along the rivers edge looking in both directions . It's too bad these people didn't use a parabolic dish and some audio software to edit out the background noise and to make the calls more clearer .
I haven't decided yet whether I intend to share this information with the general public or not . The last thing I want is to have a bunch of amateur Bigfoot hunters on my property shooting at anything that moves and attempting to get their 15 minutes of fame . Also most of the jobs in this area are farming and logging . If it's confirmed that Bigfoot inhabits these lands that would mean they'll get state and federal protection status making logging in large areas off limits .
For as many people who want to prove the reality of Bigfoot and to protect them,
    ( myself included)
there are those who want to wipe them out to protect their jobs, their investments and their stocks and thats just the ugly and unfortunate truth. Its boils down to jobs or the environment once again.
I've seen blacked out military style helicopters flying low over a mountain area of 4,000 ft to the east of where I live hovering over land owned by a paper company and always at night and for several hours as if their searching for something or someone . Sometimes they'll use powerful spotlights and other times they'll have all their marker lights turned off . I've watched them before through my binoculars and saw they were running dark with only instrument lighting illuminating the interior of the helicopter . At one point I know they noticed that I was watching them because they flew from the mountain a few miles away to right over where I was and hovered a hundred feet above me totally blacked out as if to give me a warning of some kind .
As for what they're doing I have no idea but I thought it was coincidental and suspect . Obviously they're not out for a joyride considering the fact that fuel for a helicopter isn't exactly cheap and they were circling the area for hours , refueled and came back for several more hours . In one instance they were searching the area from 10 pm till 4:30 am until it started getting light out and then took off .
So I don't think they would be too thrilled by anyone making a solid discovery that Sasquatch is a real being that deserves protection status . Unfortunately this is what the poor Sasquatch is up against ,our greed and blood thirsty nature . There's plenty of decent people who want to help them but unfortunately those who could care less about them .

Annette and I have explored every mile from the Cadomin Caves area to Ram Falls. We have seen places where "something" has strategically built what we call a penning or trap type structure in the forest south of Nordegg. We followed a ravine and then we found these logs that had been placed across it to form what looks like a fishing net, only it is made of pine trees. When we got too close something growled at us and instead of us waiting around to see what was growling, we got out of there. We are both hunters and have been around bears and coyotes and wolves almost all our lives. We have also been into the caves area where the skeletal remains are. I guess it is a secret or sacred place, so we wont share the GPS coordinates, but it is pretty spooky. All I can say is that there is something out of the ordinary in that area.

Love this channel. If you are ever out in Vermont I'll take you to a place I saw something that isn't Bigfoot. Didn't think much of it, and the 1sters down the road asked if they could have my kids playset I'd put near the side of the road. We got to chatting about things, and the topic of coyotes came up. I told him I had some traps and he could borrow them if needed. He then told me about the creature he and his wife had seen that described exactly what I saw. Not sure what it is. It's small, like 4ft, with wispy white hair, and legs like a elk, but walks on two feet. I was relieved to not be going insane since somebody else had seen it too. My daughter and I hooked up some speakers to a sonophone and heard it scream from the swamp in the summer. I'm old and retired and have seen a great many things in this world, but never anything I couldn't explain until I moved to this place.

That specific sound off in the distance which is higher pitched ( like a gibbon monkey) is the exact same sound I've heard on several occasions . Along with one of my neighbors who used to sit on his porch very late late nights by himself. I was talking to him about this strange sound coming out of the swamp (located in NW Central Fla near the Nature Coast of Fla) in which I've heard both late at night and just after sunrise one morning. And he said with excitement in his voice " I'VE HEARD IT TOO "!!
My 80 lb Australian / Catahula mix dog ( my old girls name was Toots) stopped in her tracks and look off in the direction of this same sound early one morning while we were walking a trail just inside the swamp. And she then gave me a look with a " what the hell was that daddy look on her face". She was startled by this gibbon like sound. It was not like any of the normal swamp sounds we hear everyday and night.
On one occasion late at night with zero moonlight ( dead flashlight of coarse ) and so pitch black you can't even see your hand held in front of your face , I walked out on my porch and heard this large animals respiration sounding like it was just a few yards away back in the blackness and it sounded calm enough and didn't have a change in its respiration rate which would indicate aggression or excitement , so I just listened a bit ( after the hair stood up on the back of my neck) and then walked to the road out front of my home and when I returned it was gone. Now a couple of things are strange about this situation, one thing ; is my little old boy didn't react and this large animal and this animal didn't react either. Two; I only walked my small dog more than 20 yards and came back to my porch in just a very few minutes and while I was walking I was listening for any sounds of leaves or twigs breaking or any little sounds of movement in the area where this thing was sitting and just watching me . But it was intelligent enough to move out of the area without making any sound whatsoever.
I retired in 2002 and move out of the Orlando area but before I moved into my 37 ' class A RV to be closer to nature in this swamp , I lived on the edge of a National Forest for a decade and during that period had black bears come near the property at night and all I could see was pitch black without a flashlight. You see ... I've heard a black bears respiration from a close distance back in the black….which is my point. Whatever it was was NO BEAR. It was bigger and it was smarter.
Now I'm ready for a return of this creature with a real good trailcam set up directed into that area of the swamp. But so far all I've recorded are mucho deer and racoons and one stray otter, etc etc. My final note to you is keep up the most excellent work because you have created the most interesting vids and narration out there on this subject.
    Thank you,
    Philip

Wow, this is some great stuff! That growl
oar is just like what I heard camping in Mammoth Lakes, Ca, nearly 30 years ago. Freaked the life out of me and my late husband. Neither of us had ever heard anything like it, ever, and we were seasoned campers.. Bears I can deal with, mountain lions, I'm scared and very cautious, but That roar was something else entirely. We couldn't sleep, and we kept our eyes and ears open until we left Mammoth. It was our favorite place in the world to camp, and we went back many times after that.

We've heard the same sounds in the Utah mountains. The power of the sound is terrifying. It's very true that it can't be adequately captured on a phone. We were on ATV's about 25 miles from our campsite at a high altitude around dusk. I only got about 15 seconds of sound on my phone before we got scared and left the area. Kudos to this guy for sticking around all night to record. He was much braver than we were.

😯😯😯😯 so I remember hearing sounds EXACTLY like those high pitched ones, whenever we camp somewhere forested, and it was always sp odd because they were only made at night when the grounds were quiet so I always assumed it was just some obnoxious, rude, kids or something out getting drunk and being stupid. I remember the first time o heard sounds like this was in Yosemite. It was summer so very packed. Those growls are SUPER freaky

Justin, very helpful and useful but I agree that if the static could be cleaned up that could be helpful. I was expecting more of the longer long distance growls like what was heard in one of the clips out of Ohio in the Hills outside of Cleveland. However, this was helpful too. Also might be helpful to get a animal sounds expert to determine what sounds are recognizable like bears or wolves or even Elk or Moose and then determine what sounds simply cannot be identified and are unfamiliar. As many of us know who have a similar wildlife terrain up in dem der hills knows you can hear a number of things at night or sometimes nothing at all. There have been too many more recent clips and some that suddenly cannot be found like the Yellowstone clip with the buffalo just sitting there over by Old Faithful I believe it was several years ago and the one I would like to find is the Himilayas clip with the mountain climbers in snow and this creature just came along parallel to them and climbed the mountain like it was nothing - that cannot be human - I don't care how many times you try to use a person in a costume. Too many people have had encounters over the decades and even centuries to just dismiss this as a coincidence but there is a need for more biological and empirical evidence to support it and believe we will eventually get there in time within perhaps the next 20-50 years. Also the drones will help a great deal to be able to search more terrain or find evidence of their habitat from above. Several legendary creatures have been more recently confirmed as in fact existing in the last decade or two. Its either that or the creature is in fact a mythical type creature that somehow does indeed come and go as it pleases without a trace. - Todd

I hear two distinct mamalian sounds in this recording. One higher pitch and one lower pitch. The higher pitch sounds just exactly like the sound I can hear coming out of the swamp. I live very rural on the edge of a vast swamp area near the Nature Coast of Fla. That familiar sound is coming from a closer range than I've heard. I've described it in the past as a Gibbon like sound. But from a respiratory system that is much much larger than a Gibbon monkey.
