- This is my longest backpacking trip to date at 6 nights/7 days in the picture postcard perfect Banff National Park. Joey and I explore the Sawback range of Banff. There are waterfalls, lakes, turquoise blue pools and high mountain passes. We make awesome backcountry pizza over a fire! This is the last of my month long Canadian Adventures and the best one yet!

Mary, I'm 67. And, I just bought another PLB to last me until 2030. I have more fears about being out at night here in suburbia than being alone in the wilderness. I know that I could let my fears control me. If I let them. And, I don't. Yes, I'm careful. That's why I carry a PLB. Please don't let fears keep you from enjoying God's Creation that few get to see. Wow - this country is amazing!! This is almost a backpack trip I could imagine, with campsites, bear boxes and pit toilets! Those steep climbs would sure be challenging, though but worth it. I live in Utah also and i Am widowed and i live alone I want to hike but i just had both knees replaced and i have a heart condition . Life goes by to fast so never be afraid to follow your dreams my neighbors and doctors cant hold me back. But I can t do it alone any more so its wonderful that you take me along on your adventures! Thank you so much!
I'm in VA, live alone, divorced, arthritis in my hips and knees. The only heart I have left is that which hasn't yet been broken. Fortunately, my doctor encourages me to hike! If the outdoors is in your heart, go for it. Just watch yourself! I'm going to be in the Eastern Sierra Nevada in two weeks...

Really impressed with how the Canadians set up their wilderness campsites.
Just got back from a 2 week Alaskan trip, what a thrill, started out in Vancouver BC cruised on a ship to Juneau, AK ! Saw many sites there ,went on many excursions there until we left for Talkeetna, didnt see alot of wildlife, but saw a ton of scenery, unfortunately it ended with the party of 10 getting Covid, so now I set her at home recoverying from it!!!
