Some trivia that helps me to my 100% NG+ file:
You can easily obtain multiple S Supports with Byleth in 1 playthrough by picking the opposite gender of the unit that cannot S Support them (Ex. Female Beresu with Catherine, Shamir, Hilda, etc.) and raise their Support to maximum points even past their A support.
When you finish that playthrough, start the next NG+ with the opposite gender, and go to the Journal and support points. You will see that all those characters you did that with can unlock all the way to S Support. Saved me so many playthroughs of needing to marry everyone to see and save their S Supports on one file.
NOTE this does not work for units that can share S Support with both genders of Byleth. So the optimal way to go about it is only marry units that can S Support both genders of Byleth, switch gender every playthrough, and unlock every other S Support in the journal until everyone is done.

Oh, here’s a fun fact that not many people may know about Three Houses I wanted to add: it’s a bit dull because it has to do with support conversations in the game (and this technically isn’t really fun considering who’s involved in it), but after looking at the entire cast for the game, I’ve discovered that Sylvain has the least amount of supports where he has a paired ending with someone: excluding Female Byleth, Ingrid, Felix, Mercedes, and Dorothea are the only people he has a support with that he can have a paired ending with, which is less people who he can have a paired ending with from the entire game than even the DLC characters by both ratio of pairings to non-parings in the support conversations they can have AND by the number of paired endings that are possible. Not fun knowing that you have only 4-5 people you can be paired up with, and one of those people is the playable character that has to be female, and then there’s the fact that even the DLC characters that don’t have many supports themselves have more paired endings than you do in the base game alone.
Something else that’s support related is with Seteth and Flayn’s support conversations. Despite Seteth not wanting Flayn to go near any boys in Garreg Mach, the majority of Flayn’s supports are with male characters, excluding Seteth himself, having only one support with someone of the same gender, being Manuela; Manuela herself is someone Seteth himself can be paired up with, as with the majority of his other ones. Similarly, an inverse to Flayn’s majority male supports, Seteth’s are majority female, with his supports with Hanneman and Felix (the latter of who can be paired up with Flayn) being the only two where he talks with people of the same gender as him. That means in a single play through, Seteth, Flayn, Manuela, and Felix could all end up in the same family together and almost all of them can support with each other at some point
I hope I was able to intrigue someone out there with this info!

      @LaraW19 Před 2 lety +20

@@YingofDarkness I see it more as a Sylvain's "lot of acquaintances/flings but very few real and lasting connections" kind of thing, which really suits his character. Like, it's his own choice not to form deeper connections, if that makes sense? We see he's outgoing but choses not to form real attachments easily because he doesn't want to show his "real" self (and has the whole "crest baby" trauma thing going on), preferring to adopt the himbo persona because it's easier and more fun. So it makes sense he'll have a lot of B "shallow" interactions, but very few pairing options. And all of them are with characters who have either known him his entire life (Felix, Ingrid), easily saw past his façade because they are very similar at the core (Dorothea), or cared enough to stick by him (Mercedes, Byleth). I don't know, I always thought it adds another layer of depth to his character!

Elite buffed Nemesis has quite a few obscure mechanics, as the descriptions for his abilities are imprecise. If you hit his mighty king of legend shield with an attack which would deal no damage if it went through, that will not break his shield. If you hit him and break his mighty king of legend shield on enemy phase, he will proc an additional heal at the start of player phase, so if you're not one turning him, it's actually optimal to unequip your weapon against him during enemy phase, so he doesn't get extra healing. Also, when his shield is broken, the red shields orbiting him go away on his map model and combat model, which is a nice touch.

I was always at A support with the lords early on, so I actually had no idea their dialogues changed depending on support levels at certain points! I love how many dialogue options this game has, I'm always finding out about more!
I do know that while Byleth doesn't have any A support specific dialogue with Dimitri, Felix does though. 🤔 It happens all over part 2 after the timeskip, even in some earlier scenes before Rodrigue's death as long as they've reached the ability to unlock A support even before Dimitri's ready to support again. And then Felix's line right before the final assault on the Imperial castle changes too depending on if they have A support or not. This was something I found out after multiple playthroughs of Azure Moon during which one I purposely benched Felix and didn't support him with anyone.

On the topic of Byleth’s birthday in Azure Moon, my Byleth’s birthday was set in March, during Chapter 12 and 17. While Gilbert was the letter’s writer, Dimitri could still be the one to gift Byleth the letter and pendant as the game hadn’t accommodated for his vengeful phase. The only showing was cutscene dialogue and monastery exploration interaction.
So yes, Dimitri can still write a heartfelt birthday letter to you, despite being fueled by vengeance

essar research group is just a perfect battalion to equip to an authority bane/low authority unit while still getting a boost thats as good as a c rank one when its in fact e rank. i find that its perfect for felix who not only does well in both physical and magic which could make use of both +5 offenses, but also since felixs authority bane and his personal skill favors a lack of battalion through a good chunk of the early game, meaning hes bound to get behind when youre gonna wanna actually start giving him some. the perfect battalion to play catch up.
im honestly kinda surprised so many people didnt know about the tathlum bow. its pretty easy to get if you play the map as a rout map and advance slowly, and thats just how i play any map, although it does seem to have very strange requirements to get i suppose.

More obscure ones (maybe idk you can tell me if they’re not actually obscure) in Azure moon if you have recruited Bernadetta and you complete her A+ support with Felix where she is asking why Felix is being nice and if something terrible happened, she’ll ask if he had a falling out with an old friend. Another one I have found is if you manage to get Ashe and Dimitri to C support before or during the month you fight Lonato Dimitri says he’ll write Lonato a letter of protest. One last one, in crimson flower, if you manage to kill Dedue before he turns into a monster you will get a drastic change in dialogue after the battle as Dimitri dies.

The conditions Ghast lays out here seem rather specific, and level 50 is rather high for that time of the game. Evening on Maddening, Cornelia herself is at level 44 on that map. She doesn't hit 40 below that. So a level 50 sniper seems...hard to kill without proper preparations. Personally I also had no one that could use warp when I did Blue Lions. I didn't recruit any other students, so no Lindhardt or Lysithea, none of the DLC was out yet, so no Hapi, and I just didn't think Manuela was a good unit.
Someone else in the comments actually raises a good point: players are more likely to warp someone to immediately kill Cornelia than to this random sniper.

Unless you're specifically speedrunning, LTCing, or just trying to beat Cornelia fast in general, it should be hard to miss the conditions (hence why I made the WARP STAFF joke)
The only annoying thing would probably be the ambush spawn if you have a squishy mage or low health unit near his range.
