OR...the brain is a receiver of consciousness.
Exactly
YEP
So the universe is conscious and were just seeing it
@@davon3384 the universe witnesses itself through us - and everything else.
Occam's razor. My condolences.
That consciousness is a byproduct of biological processes is an assumption and has not been proven. Hinduism teaches that the physical reality we experience is a byproduct of consciousness. An equally valid or invalid assumption.
Exactly!
My condolences, but that's a ridiculous statement. There is tons of evidence the brain creates consciousness. If it were simply a signal being picked up, then why do all brains recieve solely their own unique consciousness? Why is consciousness absolutely unobservable as a force so energetic yet with such signal-clarity atoms assembled as soft crude meat can pick it up when the absolute most sensitive quantum sensors can't detect it whatsoever? Also Hinduism is not remotely 'equivalent' to modern Science, it is a barely recognizable precursor to science before people had even imagined running water and toilet paper, and has tons of insane ideas. Hinduism's theory of reality makes tons of predictions that fall absolutely flat left and right, whereas modern science makes tons of predictions that are almost always absolutely correct to a miraculous degree.
It is absolutely ridiculous to say there is 'no evidence' for science's theory of consciousness and that it's no more likely than hinduism's
Friggin atheists bro... they think they have all the answers
@@perrybb2 they don't, they're typically empiricists. Ironic you say that as nearly every religion claims to have a book holding literally the secrets to all existence, so you're completely wrong
@@bearcatdog858 funny, I never said anything about holy books or religions. You're assuming I have a religion because I'm not an atheist but you forget that people can not believe in a religion without declaring a lack of belief in god or a soul, which is what atheism is. Ironically, atheism is based on faith, since you're making a claim that can't proven.
And I remember thinkin about this same thing even using color as a reference when I was maybe 7 years old and it has never left ME from wondering if
Everything about our experience is derived from things being taken in. We see because our eyes recieve light, we hear because our ears recieve vibrations, we smell because our nose recieves particles. We know things because of what these senses take in. So everything that we experience is stuff that we take in from outside but somehow we don't think consciousness also comes from outside?
"Hard problem of consciousness" and qualia.
What are your thoughts on the internal simulation model of consciousness?
That's a fascinating topic. In general, I don't endorse any one model of consciousness, because I'm not an expert on the topic. That being said, the category of internal simulation models seems reasonable and intuitive to me based on what I know about perception.
If you can get the difference between now and previous edits then don't hesitate to give me a knock, thank you.
That we experience requires that matter *doing* experiences. There is a qualitative aspect to matter in action. Now, we remember experience; and that's a whole different thing.
If experience is ubiquitous, awareness becomes the issue; that's part of the easy problem, as hard as it is.
consciousness is not physical...
According to Hindu scripts Consciousness is based on physical laws, it's all about progression, evaluation and moving forward from big bang to black hole. We are all contributing in the journey.
We have the same experiences because there is only one consciousness . The bodies are included in consciousness wich is the life itself. A dead body has no consciousness and all we know and feel that. We return that bodies to the earth and we will continue to exist (see hundreds cases of life after death) like pure consciousness.🙏❤️
yes, it is so obvious and natural. Everthing else is just overthinking, just one small aspect in life.
So if we all experience different perspectives of reality , in order for there to be peace together , we have to submit to a higher consciousness that can bring understanding which gives unity and direction . Aka God is the higher consciousness
Is my red the same the same as your red:
Simple,i'll just ask someone to look at the same red ball.If he says it looks red and i say it looks red than our consciousness is the same, right.
I always thought about that as a kid. Or what if our sense of color is inverted and my black looks white to you and your white looks black to me
why do yall just close your mouth sometimes? I mean why would you make a video about something you have no idea about?
interesting you say that! The other day I finally realized knowledge is a material object, just like an axe. Knowledge is literally particles assembled into a certain form in your brain, and is a mutable transient losable object with mass and volume just light your clothing.
Your consciousness itself is literally a body-part just like your fist, and with omniscience you could likely watch the illusion of free will _(people have free choice, i assume they genuinely make their choices but, nobody probably had the initial choice to be born as a person deterministically destined to make the decisilns they inevitably will i mean)_ fade away as you watch their brains deterministically tick like a clock with decisions being at the mercy of whether a dopamine molecule or 2 successfully crosses a transit or not.
Wild shit, if albeit extremely disappointing and demoralizing.
