I'm now a Chris Ballard fan. That needed to be said, this process is brutal.
Facts. AD Mitchell is someone who has no history or legal troubles or concerning off-the field episodes. So what if he is a little moody or is not the typically likeable personality? He's a beast of a receiver and most great receivers are massive divas. I'm a chiefs fan and I was initially very sad they passed on him for worthy. I feel better about it now, but I still think what if we got him instead, because he is not far off the top 3 wrs in this class in talent imo. To pass on him because of an interview is BS. Travis Kelce is a good example of that.

my respect for ballard went way up
as a seahawks fan mentioning the rest of the NFC west and not us is wild to me sure we didnt make any sexy picks at qb or running back and we primarily focused on offensive line and defensive lines but those were HUGE needs for a team that was the laughing stock of the NFL for a few years now with pass protection and run protection and especially run defense i feel Seattle is right up there with the rest of the NFC West with how much we’ve improved with this draft and 2024 will be fun to watch any of those NFC West teams (yes even the 49ers)
I would be surprised to see any positive remarks about the Seahawks on this channel. I think our host might still be a little B hurt about the alley beat down the Broncos suffered in SB XLVIII and the absolute mugging the Broncos endured in the Russel Wilson trade. Just a hunch.

@@kyledabearsfan That is a tough question. I could see any of those three and add in the AFC East being the toughest division next year really. The Souths continue to be an after thought but the AFC South at least has the Texans, Colts have a high ceiling and who the heck knows with the Jaguars.

I feel the Steelers belong on this list as top tier. They nailed their first 4 picks with Fantanu, Frazier, Wilson, and Wilson. All 4 players should make an immediate impact. Their late rounders are solid, and the UFA's have some serious talent, esp with Beanie Bishop out of WVU who could be low key a real steal as a UFA.
Omar Khan has bad two back to back great drafts.
Because we now have Russell Wilson I'm pretty sure we were omitted from this although I agree we absolutely killed the draft can't wait for the season to begin

I have a good question to dig into. What rounds have had the most starters or stars come out of. The 1st round vs the 2nd and 3rd round vs the 4th 5th 6th and 7th round.

No mention of the commanders as one of the winners this draft is lowkey crazy. Besides JD5 they drafted Mike Sainristil, who Nick Saban said is the pound for pound best football player in the draft. Drafted Ben Sinnott as well as Luke McCaffery, brother of Christian McCaffery. Also drafted Jer’Zhan Newton who many think could be a pro bowler. Lots of media orgs also gave the commanders A/A+ draft grades. No mention of the commanders is really crazy 😂
I honestly believe the falcons actually made a smart move, they are following the Green Bay\Kansas City Chiefs and drafting a rookie in making him sit behind a vet for a year or two to gain some experience. Workout for Green Bay three times now!

There were A LOT of us who wanted the Bears to keep Fields and maybe trade down one or two spots, get a few extra picks and still be able to get Harrison Jr and one of the the Top Rated Left Tackles (Alt, Fashanu, Latham)... I was one of them.
The kid is good. And sometimes he can be REALLY good. He isn't perfect by any means, but...
I am 120% positive he wins a Super Bowl or 2 with the Steelers. Yes, as the starter.

Anyway. while I did want to keep Fields, I am thrilled with the Draft. We did about as good as could hope for. Now I just hope it works out.
And I honestly want Fields to do well, too. He is a great kid and he will become a fan favorite in Pittsburgh quickly.

Prior to the draft, I had the Wilson WRs going to opposite Pennsylvania teams than they did... Philly being more associated with speed, I thought Roman would've been a shoe-in, and prototypical Pittsburgh would've loved Johnny's size and run blocking prowess. Unexpected, but I still like both picks for both teams.
19:34 Eagles fan here…although I was pumped about our draft, I really wanted Payton Wilson and we essentially passed on him 3x by trading down. Hopefully we won’t regret it as we had a huge need for LB…but I still hope he has a great career

I think Kwesi, Vikings GM, has quietly put together some very good drafts the last few years. Outside of his first draft, he’s been excellent and this one looks very much like another one.
I stressed Denver’s pick with you live on your channel. We were both apparently watching the same west coast network that was 15 seconds behind any one else broadcasting the draft. Your comment section had the pick in a minute before my tv all night.😶
How this channel doesn't have over a million subs is absolutely beyond me.
I typically don't bother to point out your anti-Chiefs bias because I respect the blind hate of a rivalry, don't ever like being a jerk and know you only do it to hurt us Chiefs fans, but showing the chart you used for your evaluations in the beginning and seeing the Chiefs at 5th best then watching you saying their draft sucked does make me chuckle. You're a funny guy Perna. I hope the Chiefs and Broncos both got better and we get some fun games (where the Chiefs always win) over the next few seasons.
Actually I think "value" is a good metric to have in the draft because even if later round players can be hall of famers and first picks total busts value shows you how the organization of your team works because value also applies to signing of free agents, contracts, salary cap, etc. So it actually tells your if your team is in purgatory like the Panthers or it actually is starting to be good after changes like with the Steelers (yeah Wilson can be bad but he was free lol)
