@@blackice7408 aye at least he bumpin it yo 😂 most mfs i see reacting to tupac thats basically country shit on pac and guys like pac so aye at least he rockin wit em
So Tupac's opening lines were true. He was days out of jail on bail. He basically went straight to the recording studios. This was a later version of California Love because Dr Dre was going to use it on one of his projects. A decision was made at Death Row to have Pac on as many songs as they could so he added his lyrics to it. This was at the same time Dr Dre was leaving Death Row and it's rumored that Jada Pinkett (Smith) was going to direct this video but Will Smith didn't like what was going on at Death Row at the time and made her step back. She let them keep the concept of the video, so sayeth the rumor. Another misconception was that Tupac was charged with rape. He was charged with sexual misconduct. There is a serious of videos on VladTV with his accuser. There is also a video of Pac during the trail outside of the courthouse. You should watch both. As a fan of Tupac and living in LA during his rise and fall I remember a lot. If you look at his early work before he was shot the first time. Then gaining wealth coming from poverty. Then having people around him trying to kill him, going to jail. The tone of his music shouldn't be surprising. But thru it all I think his lyric speak to people more than most rappers even though some, mostly NY say he wasn't lyrically string. I obviously do not agree.
Your reaction videos are great! You definitely have a new subscriber. If you like Pac, then you should watch “Tupac: Resurrection”. It’s a documentary that was released in 2003; he was such a brilliant man!
Roger Troutman is the man that invented the "talk box" (the vocal modulation of the opening words "California Love" is achieved using one) way back when. He's actually in the video; he's the wild eyed guy with the tube in his mouth (part of a "talk box"). And, yeah, Tupac's voice is one of a kind. \m/
who remembers watching this, nirvana, Tom petty, blind melon... I can almost still picture the line up waiting for this song to come on between all the other rock songs back when mtv was actually good lol
I think there's a country artist that used this song as a sample for his country song, but I can't remember who. You mentioned Sugar Hill Gang and I lit up. They are the ultimate Icons, one of the grandfathers of Rap's birth. Loved your reaction.😊
That was an awesome review.....I know I am coming to this party late....but awesome that you are a country boy checking out rap music....peace brother 😃
TCB, man I l love your videos and how open minded you are. I would only say this, you've found a niche group in Hip-Hop that is mainly recommending you to react with "the golden era" of Hip-Hop. A lot of Pac, Big, NWA, Dre, Snoop, and Em. It's been a lot of 1991-1999 Hip-Hop music. But you are missing out on some of the greatest. Imma give you a list of 5 songs all by different artists that I think you would enjoy---- Joe Budden "Immortal", Yelawolf "Let's Roll", Logic "1-800-273-8255 ", Kanye West "Heard Em' Say", and Lupe Fiasco "Superstar". Hope you check these out and enjoy them, keep up the content! These are not "the greatest songs of alltime" by any means, just really great hip-hop tracks that were also hits. If you check these out and enjoy them feel free to DM me for more suggestions. I fancy myself as a hip-hop historian and have a collection of hip-hop music that consists of a few hundred vinyls and about 800 cds. So I know my shit lol.
Just ran across your channel. Interested in a Texan's opinion. To me it doesn't matter the genre of the music as long as it moves me. It looks like you're not doing videos anymore which is too bad. Hoping you could check out some Rammstein & Joe Bonamassa!
Tupac is to rap what Ozzy is to heavy metal 🤘
Thumbs up for throwing up the W. Greetings from Long Beach, CA.
To live and die in LA is a really good song
I still listen to this almost daily. It just makes me feel great, especially here in Y when it’s cold.

He genuinely enjoys it and thats what makes him a better reactor than the others
When Pac woke up, that was the beginning of the party version of the song and video.
That whole East coast/West Coast beef in the 90's gave us some bad ass tunes! I'm in Detroit so we weren't obligated to side with either coast! Lol!
Michigan is closer to East Coast than West Coast.
You get the same feeling we all get when we here 2Pac!! That’s good stuff.
There were more technical rappers like eminem and better wordsmiths but none can make you feel like pac. That's why hes the most loved rapper ever.
2pac is G.O.A.T enough said.
Ice Cube- today was a good day
If I’m not mistaken g he’s done that reaction already .....
