As an ash main, i gotta warn you that porting in LOS of enemy players is VERY dangerous, even if you are porting "behind" them. The time it takes to complete the port and aim down sights is very long, the port is loud, and the enemy team can pre-aim the exit of the portal.
However, pro tip, these "disadvantages" actually can be used to your advantage by making it a better escape/repositioning tool. It affects enemy teams FOLLOWING an ashe through her portal. In a bad spot or ambushed? Make a port in the open somewhere near cover, take that cover pre-aim the port, and pre-gnade the ash port for a foolproof escape. Its also excellent to reposition to height, but again, not if its in LOS of enemy players.
