- The Porsche 911 is one of the best cars in the world, but can you drive a 911 in the winter? I unfortunately got caught in a blizzard in my Porsche 911 and almost made it out without getting stuck.
So, what do you think of a 911 in the snow, is it the ultimate four season sports car?

Give us your best snow story below 👇
Back in the days, when I was 5 yo or so, it snowed.
Just here to say I really love the positivity on this channel. No trollin the cops, no smug attitudes, no overinflated egos… just great, informative automotive content.
yes very respectful and positive channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes!@@smartman123
The only thing that would make that porsche the most offroad capable beast would be AWD
There was a time when most cars were rear wheel drive. When I was younger (I’m 60 now) we drove rear wheel drive cars through the winter with few problems. Put snow treads on it and you’ll be fine.
Not true... I have a 911 and it is death in the snow... this video is a bs narrative.
Same here. I'm 60 as well and grew up in north central Wisconsin. Snow tires make all the difference. I drove an 86 RX7 and an E34 M5 all year round in Wisconsin and an E38 740 iL in Minnesota
Yes, the 911 safari is a car for every season! We enjoyed the ride, pal! More!
I liked your video very very much. Just this one thing, I'm in West Africa and I've never seen snow before. The only you see ice is when you open the fridge. I may one day join you guys and have fun in the snow. I'll be greatful if anyone from West Africa like my comment 👍👍
I hope you can build a snowman and have a snowball fight one day! Theres nothing like it. 😊
This video put a smile on my face.
I liked it. Light-hearted, it answers the RWD snow question, and the music was relaxing and mellow. 5 stars.
Personally, I've driven RWD and FWD vehicles in the snow.
When I lived up north, I drove a RWD full sized van and a RWD Chevy Siverado 1500 for work. Personal vehicles were an 85' Chevy Cavilier and a 2k Camry.
The Camry I actually drove during a whiteout/blizzard. Since I didn't feel like spending 10hrs behind a snow plow, I jumped in the left lane and drove right past the 20 car line, along with the snow plow. We must have passed 30 cars which fell off the road in the 200mi stretch. Eventually we changed highways (IH-80 out of Chicago) and the snow was coming down so hard that I couldn't stay in my lane. Like ping-pong, I found myself drifting between the tall road markers. White+White=disorientation. Eventually I just let a truck pass me and rode his tracks all the way to our exit. The time was around 02:00, so traffic wasn't an issue.
There's more stories, but that one sticks out the most.
Anyway, my experience is that Black Ice is the most challenge when dealing with the snow. Deep snow will get you into trouble, but 4" or less is easy to drive through.
Overall, slow drifting is what I enjoyed the most about driving a RWD in the snow. When my boss told me "It's really slippery out there isn't it?", I replied "Uh, yeah". Just watch out for icy hills. Those are cancer.
Hope the tire was able to be patched, or the leak was just a bead seal.
Here's to saving the manuals.
Cheers.
my first car was and remains the best vehicle I've ever driven in the snow. a 73 VW beetle. RR is a fantastic drivetrain in the snow and with proper tires and enough ground clearance snow is of little concern.
Fantastic work! Keep going!👍👍
Nice Porsche
Great show man
Great stuff. Keep it up!
Appreciate it!
Looks great ! The Safari Posche is the way to "Let's Go!" Congratulations on the build Brad! 👨🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁🚩🌲⛰️❄️☃️
love the cowbow hat👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
winter tires on bmw, never stuck😉
I drive my 996 (RWD) in Canadian winter and I have it at stock height but with winter tires. Lovely daily driver all year and all conditions
I do love that porsche.
A porsche you can use day to day without worrying.
Shame about the price.
My first car was RWD. 75 Monte Carlos. Snow tires, 400 lbs of sand in the trunk, & judicious throttle control made snow driving fairly easy & way fun.
What is the wheel/tire package?
Are those just 16" Fuchs?
Basic 997 carrera / targa 4 rides nicely too in Finland all four seasons. The frameless windows suck.
Type of rich problems i want one day
Looks like a snowmobile with tires!
Is there a reason you wore your cowboy hat backwards? Just curious
EPIC!!!
People race these things in rallies. Winter tires & some additional ride height is all you need.
Hey! That car is for sale right now! You got snow up north? We’re iced up in Portland right now.
Nice 👍 Porsche 911❤
We're riding with ya.
Lancia at monte carlo: couldn't be me
i DRIVE MY 2019 Mustang in the winter all the time just fine.
I thought this thing was going away? I also might take my Mercedes up Phil's trail area
Great idea 💡 bro, but if you had the AWD version of the 911, You wouldn't get stuck
All I know is, there is NO WAY you made it to her is 15 minutes!…😅
I am glad you made it through.
😱
That’s what she said 😂
Ohh darn…
We all thought you were selling it 🤔 changed of heart 🙃
RWD Might not be the best choice in the snow...but ya gotta admit they are Hella fun compared to the FWD E-Brake drifters 😂😂😂
Ride on
I love this channel! They inspired me to create my own channel! I hope my content will so the same
You just fucked up, BIG TIME! At 2.50+!
Have You NEVER driven in snow?
As a "Forgotten in Snowy Hell" of Scandinavia, and a rally driver, I would like to give You, a lesson or two!
You never, ever, rev up like you did, when starting to drive. As seen on video.
I have competed with RWD, all my "career", and it`s big f.....g FUN!
You are able to steer with the rear end of the car, and adjust the drift with the accelerator .
Take a few lessons and You will find out, as said, it`s bloody fun!
Thank`s for an other, fun video.
from a Finn in Diaspora
Omg 30 sec
That's TERRIBLE advise! All season AND all terrain tires DO NOT WORK ON SNOW AND ICE! All season tires lose traction under 45°F! If you MUST drive rwd in the snow then USE WINTER/SNOW TIRES! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE FOR!
Continental DWS tires work pretty well on snow below 45F. Really well with AWD.
First here 😂🎉😢😅
Don't even know d content yet
Should have got a volvo.

CZcams pls delete the these channel and brad go to work now!!!
Do not believe this bs... yeah it works untilnit doesnt, and when it doesnt you are in the side of a ditch with a couple 10 k in repairs... or spinning on a highway going 65...
This is a terrible narrative...
