Ride the Virginia Creeper Trail - Out and About

The Virginia Creeper is the granddaddy of Virginia Rail Trails. Since it was established in the 1980s, hundreds of thousands of people have ridden the 34 mile trail from White Top near Mount Rogers to Historic Abingdon, with Damascus, Virginia smack dab in the middle. Tom Landon took advantage of a trip to SW Virginia to squeeze in the ride!

That’s so great. I wish there was a way to ride the trail and a wheelchair. Maybe I will suggest this trip to my daughter grandson and great granddaughter they love hiking. I think they would like a bike ride or a hike along this trail we live in front Royal Virginia, a ride

Thanks for the kind words. This trail is fairly accessible. I wonder if anyone in the adaptive sports community might have an idea for helping someone in a wheelchair get the full experience?
