    Man, just did this job with your video as a guide. Spot on for everything you said and showed. I have a 2023 and it has the larger tank. So I had to remove the tank bolts near the seat (12 mm socket) and prop it up a few inches to get the top seat bolt out. I also had difficulty getting the top part of the shock in. I lightly tapped it in with the handle end of a screw driver and a hammer worked like a charm. I read somewhere other guy used a pin and prayed it into place, which seems more elegant than my way though. Thanks for taking the time man! You would think manufacturers or sellers would make an instruction video.

      @Atopper  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Heck yeah! Glad the video helped! I think there is a specialty Triumph tool to back out something to make the top slide in easier but didn’t think it was worth getting. That is interesting about the tank size making that difference. Doesn’t seem like it would to me.

    Dude! Excellent Video! I just installed the same Ohlins on my 2018 and it went smooth and easy thanks to you. On the hardest part that you mentioned in your video of getting the upper bolt into the shock I did find an easy way. I just inserted a punch into the opposite side that the bolt enters and gave it a slight pry while pushing the bolt in to get it lined up and started into the shock. Went straight in with no fuss. Thanks for making videos to help us out. Much Appreciated!

      Awesome! Excited to hear what you think of the 39t when you get out. Im enjoying the rear shock a lot but still need to get it adjusted just right to me. I hopefully with have first thoughts video up next weekend for the Ohlins.👍

      @@Atopper Love the 39T rear sprocket ! seems like the bike pick up speed faster and a little bit louder. Now I can use 5th and 6th gear more often in the city limit.

    Good instruction, especially with tools laid out at the beginning. Note: Torque wrenches should only be 'clicked' once.

      @@Atopperif you click the torque wrench more than once, is still maintaining the torque you set it to?

    • @Atopper
      @Atopper  Před rokem +1

      I don’t believe it would over torque it. I have done some experimental testing when I have more than one torque wrench. I have never had something be over torque but have had them tighten up more. Main thing that comes to mind is a bicycle stem bolts. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@Atopper As a, now retired, aeronautical engineer. I can assure you that double clicking does increase the torque. In the military (RAF) it was a frowned upon practise. You might argue that your motorcycle "ain't going flying" but...

      Interesting, I didn’t think that it would. Thank you for that info. I will work on not clicking it more than one. 👍
