Remember that time James Hetfield got set on fire and rushed to the hospital, and then GnR "saved" the night by playing 40 minutes before Axl decided to bounce, which caused a massive riot in Montreal? Good times.

Also remember that time they left a St. Louis show cause there was someone recording in the audience and then it led to a riot and they got banend from playing in St. Louis/Missouri for a long time

They almost got banned from Toronto after Axl showed up REAAAALLY late to a show, sometime in 2009? 2020? I dunno. I was a kid and I barely remember much, aside from my dad and I FINALLY leaving around 1:30 in the morning, even though Axl had barely played 3 songs. A pretty disappointing experience as a kid. Thankfully seeing them again in 2015 with Slash and Duff, showing up ON TIME, made up for that previous encounter.

Yup I was there. My first concert ever. Although I dont blame him for the riot. he did pour gasoline on a already fiery crowd that waited 2 and a half hours for his antics. He didnt want to go on stage earlier so we waited and then they show up to play 6 or 7 songs. Flips the crowd and leaves Never tried to make things right while Metallica came back the following February playing 2 night with all tickets were only $14.99

I been listening to Appetite since it came out. I was only 7, but my older friend in 4th grade was able to get it and we listened to the shit out of it. The production is perfect for what it is, the guitar is epic as hell, Axl's vocals were ridiculous, and the songs are catchy as hell while still having some rawness. It definitely left an impression and still holds up. 100% was my gateway into the heavier bands that I'd become obsessed with in my teens like Pantera and Metallica. Not an understatement at all to put this in the top 5 greatest albums of all time. A landmark piece of work that can never really be touched.

    S: Appetite for Destruction
    A: Use your Illusion 1 and 2
    B: GNR Lies
    C: Spaghetti Incident

Appetite for Destruction rightfully called a masterpiece. Would say that album and Van Halen 1, Boston’s debut are the best rock debuts of all time.

Okay, Lets be real for a second, if Chinese Democracy wasn't tied to the Guns N' Roses Name, everyone would have though of it as some goofy Hard Rock album, gave it something like a 3/5 and moved on, but this is Guns N' Roses, and the fact that this album took 15 years to make and cost almost $14 MILLION To make (which in on itself is actually a world record for the most expensive rock album that was made) is either some kind of cruel joke by God or Axl Rose has a really bad sense of humor, because this was not a fun record to listen to at all when you take in the fact that it was Made by him and mostly guest appearances, and 15 years is a really huge gap between album release, by the time 15 years passes someone would have been married, have a family, watch their kids finish Pre, Elementary and possibly Middle school too. I Know a lot of peoples love to bash on Brendon Urie for using the Panic! at the Disco name while there is only himself under the so called "band", but i think Axl Rose did it first before Brendon, because by the time Chinese Democracy came out, Guns N' Roses didn't exist, it was only Axl using the Name for his "Solo Project" if you can even call it that, and only toured with touring members, If a person can totally forget the name Guns N' Roses while listening to this, they might have a good time, but again, this took 15 years to release. And when a company responsible for one of the most iconic brand like Dr. Pepper, putting up an ad saying if Chinese Democracy gets released, they will give every single living American a free Dr. Pepper. you know both the album, and the image of the band has been completely tarnished, the late 80s to early 90s Guns N' Roses? Top quality, Masterpiece, Perfection, the Present Guns N' Roses?...not so much

I remember my metal pals at the time being quite shocked that I really liked "Appetite For Destruction". For them they were posers who were only in it for the money. You can say that to a certain degree about some of their later records (you already mentioned the prime suspects) - but not about the debut. I still like it to this day. As for the other records - bits and pieces but nothing remotely close to "Appetite..."
