As a HUGE fan of Dave Paulides for many, many years, I would actually strongly suggest checking out Lore Lodge for the TRUE FACTS of some of these cases!!!! Gotta admit as much as I love Dave, I have to give him some side-eye on some of these cases, for omitting some key parts!
How do you support a grift that is disrespectful to many of the victims, and of those victim's families? You know, turning a blind eye to Paulides BS just to get the views, is perrty sad buddy. If you want to 'arm yourself' with knowledge, start with the truth.

It hasn't stayed the same at all! And that's a good thing cuz if you listen to 2017 recordings , he had a very distinct warbling to it. After a couple yrs, he smoothed it out and it became like how it in now. But it's a trip listening to his old stuff cuz it's very noticeably different
I think Laureen was trafficked and having heard countless stories from women and girls who have been trafficked, they say their captors keep them from escaping by threatening to kill their families if they try to escape. If your captive is only a young teen and you tell them that over and over, then it’s highly likely she would not try escape even if she had the opportunity. I do believe it was her making the calls just to hear her loved ones voices. Sadly trafficking victims often don’t come home again even if they are alive as by that point they are drug addicts and too ‘institutionalised’ as it were.

Story 1 Theory: Ruth discovered Daddy was having an affair with the stepmom and either Dad actually killed the Bio mom or the affair was why Mom killed herself. This would explain Daddy remarrying so quickly. It also may explain the flowers to Karen, the stepmom/mistress. It also makes sense why Ruth would want to move in with her best friend and no longer live at home. When she was denied, she decided to stage her death to escape that life. She either managed to stay hidden the rest of her life, or she did eventually meet an untimely demise.
I thought the same thing. It almost seemed like she was scared of her dad and stepmom, to me.

These stories about real people and real cases are infinitely more entertaining than the "real stories" from Reddit or the ones sent to him by subscribers. It's obvious the majority of those are completely made up, but these verifiable stories feel so much creepier.

This is easily my favorite series
Derrick was with grandpa Bob while the dad went to cut the tree! The dad told grandpa Bob to specifically keep Derick with him but Derick somehow talked grandpa Bob into letting him treck through the forest to find his dad! The kid was not right behind his dad when he went missing but was somewhere between the two Men in the forest and thats how he went missing! SAR got on the scene many hours later because they were at a Christmas SAR banquet and the 911 dispatcher dint want to interrupt them so precious time was lost!! The mother and father camped in the area for two years in a trailer looking for their son and broke off all contact with grandpa Bob! So basically that one error on the grandfathers part cause the kid was relentless on finding his damn dad destroyed the entire family!! What a sad sad ordeal with NO closure.....
I feel so bad for that grandpa. It was such a small thing at the time. He couldn't have known that letting the kid run ahead would mean never seeing him again.

Something about the 411 mysteries that fascinate me. They’re so eerie and unsettling; So many unknowns. I also feel so connected to these anomalies considering the vast majority of them take place in the North American wilderness.
nah, okay.... in the ruth wilson case, they need to investigate the parents more. He got married LESS THAN A YEAR after his wife killed herself?? the bouquet sent to the stepmother by ruth herself makes me think she was already in the picture having a secret affair with the dad or something, and thats why they got married so quick, maybe thats why the mom killed herself in the first place but who knows

Story #2 "Off duty Green Berets" Back in the day there was a Army base called Fort Devens and it was home to the 10th Special Forces group. I think it was the tenth. Just wanted to pass on that info in case people are like " what in the world are Green Berets doing north of Boston. My parents were stationed there in the seventies. Great storytelling as always, thank you
