Bamburgh Castle 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Today with the weather on point I went for a look around the small coastal town of Bamburgh. In particular the amazing castle and beach. The castle has history dating back 3000 years and was so much fun to explore. From Anglo Saxon citadel to impenetrable Norman stronghold, home to a succession of monarchs and the first castle in England to fall to gunpowder in the War of the Roses, Bamburgh Castle has a tempestuous history.
