@@tramznation3901 that does not matter, it will still work the same with the ID being 0

I have been trying to make do with a tablet running Twitch for a few weeks now, and it's just not working out. You're a lifesaver!
This is great even if you have multiple monitors. I stream Rocksmith, which makes my monitor mostly dead space, but I keep it full screen so that its big enough for me to see the notes while I walk around. I interact with chat during the songs, but have to turn my head slightly left to the other monitor to read it. This lets me put chat right where my eyes are already looking at the note highway.
THANKS the transparent chat was just what i was looking for. i only have one monitor and i thought there would be an easy way to blend in chat, but obviously after watching a ton of videos i found your quick and easy solution. typed in my name, worked like a charm :)

i actually have a 2nd monitor but its mounted above my first which makes it hard to read chat sometimes so i appreciate this video so much!
This is a very nice tool and you just saved me a whole lot of money :) Was looking at a prompter or a little additional screen to keep the chat close to my cam. But this works just as well and costs nothing :D
looks a lot like the chat overlay options in VR
even as someone with a second monitor and a tablet (dedicated to touch portal)
this seems pretty useful, and especially when not at my main setups

First off, just want to thank you so much for addressing this type of situation and great solution suggestion, personally I have a Go-XLR Mini, 15 Key Stream Deck, HD60 Pro, trying to stream on my PS4 Pro on a second input on my monitor!!

This is also really useful for dual setup streamers using M1 Macs, since OBS can‘t really use browser sources (in fact it can, depending on if you compiled a version for yourself, but the encoder still doesn‘t kick in for alerts etc.)
Definitely gonna use this even though I have 2 monitors lol. Would love to see the chat over my gameplay instead of having to look at another monitor.

I used to use the Chat Widget from Restream back when i only had one monitor! its a nice alternative too! works great as well!
just installed, but with fifa on full screen the chat disappear, I am trying with windowed borderless to see if it works.

What solution can I have as a multi streamer to see all 3 chat services (youtube, twitch, facebook) in one place I use prism live studiofor the mukti stream, but I also stream on one monitor on my new setup and I have to read chat during breaks since I cant find a solution to this I am missing out on great conversations maybe followers just because of this 🤷♂️

So I had this working in OBS for a while, I then did a fresh install of OBS and updated to the 0.92 version of TCO Now when I add the overlay to my scene the chat window is black with no transparency. I'm stumped..

is there any way for a true fullscreen game (not fullscreen borderless) to see twitch chat in 1 monitor? I use a 4k samsung tv as my monitor and if I put my game into fullscreen borderless, the game will follow my native res which is 4k, and my pc can't handle it coz I usually play fullscreen with 1080p. Been a dilemma coz there are several games that can have their own resolutions and keep that option in borderless fullscreen and mostly cannot..
Hiii! I only have 1 monitor and was wondering why I can't see my camera on my screen when I'm live? I did a test stream and my friend said he can see me just fine, but when I go to play the game I can't see what I look like, it's like my camera isn't there when it is and it's working. Do I need a 2nd monitor to be able to see my camera while I'm playing a game?
Yo, I know this video is 8 months old, but when I click 'Get Channel ID' it just says "An error occurred while sending the request" and sets it to 0, and tips?
I was literally just making a video where I had to use an old Fire Tablet to display my Twitch chat on, this method would have been soooooo much better! 👍
Hello, I have a bit of a problem with this program. Because when I take a game to full screen, the whole chat disappears. For example, in some games it is not possible to play in a window.
Will this work for DJs as well but on a MacBook Pro?
Funny thing is that twitch uses irc for the chat system which means you can use any client.
On Linux I've been using irssi in a borderless terminal with the background set to 100% transparency with mouse disabled. Been doing this for years now.
CZcams is a challenge however.

3:42 easy solution: throw it on a virtual audio cable (or any other audio device for that matter) that's not included in the stream via the windows sound settings

Pardon my French I am confused so if twitch and youtube are these VERY large company's how come when it comes to streaming and chat overlays they have nothing to help out the streamer? kind of weird that everyone who streams on youtube and twitch etc have to download sometimes a few third party software to show chat? seem over kill I though we had just started a new year of 2023 does not fell like it oh well just we wait a few more years to see what happens. Me just looking for something very simple dont want to download a bunch of software to see chat

There aren’t really any good PC monitors with proper HDMI 2.1 support. I would wait. You sure as hell aren’t getting that combination of features and specs for $400 lol

You could also make an overlay with simple alerts in stream elements so you don't have to worry about the ones your stream sees.

Okay, let me add something since I may have came off condescending, the comment was intended as a light-hearted jab to people who just "don't want" to use two monitors, despite never trying it; I had no intention of condescending upon those who cannot obtain or have the space for a second monitor. But if you can, seriously, try it. It's so worth it. But that point, obviously, is ad nauseum, everyone knows that already lol

A little condescending, but you are right. Any dirt cheap monitor whether it be used, a decade old or fresh off the shelf will be perfectly sufficient as a second monitor. The one I use is 13 years old with an HDMI to VGA adapter. The monitor was $20 on Craigslist, the adapter was $30 lol. If you can't budget for that then you're doing something wrong.

My first second monitor was some old 5:4 vga monitor that I got at goodwill. I used it with an old crappy laptop and I have never been able to go back to a single monitor setup for a moment (barring laptops). Now I have my own mad scientist lair with 5 💀 but four of them I got for free, so there's that much
