- New Gorilla Bachelor Group Explores Outside Habitat for the First Time at the Cincinnati Zoo. Kongo, Chipua and Pendeka came from the Detroit Zoo and have been getting use to their new spaces.

They are magnificent beings. I’ve been in love with silverbacks since my teen years when I was able to get close to King Tut back at the old Ape House when I volunteered for a gorilla watch for Penelope. I was enthralled by their personalities and impressed by the hard work done by all the keepers. ❤

Gorillas are just fascinating to watch. Even if they are just sitting and not moving at all, they look like they are pondering important thoughts.

@@marthawelch4289 Hey and welcome to the grumpy old lady group 😉😉😉😉 and yes they are I love the gorilla’s, my favorite silverback is Momotaro , Gentaro(soon to be a silverback), Shabani, Haoko, Winston, and (Frank now he is a heart attack handsome 🤩🤩)

I give it 3 weeks before some zookeeper puts one in the back of his head. Not even for doing anything wrong, just because they feel like it.
Gorillas do not have a history of getting to live in the Cincinnati Zoo.
