- The Outlaws make me sad. Why? Because they had no control of their situation. They couldn’t make the moves that they might have wanted to make. They were stuck with the roster they had, and with every loss they took, the knowledge that it probably wasn’t going to get any better added just a little bit more sadness onto the pile. Why were this teams hands tied? Were they able to make the best out of what they had? Let’s talk about the story of the season 2 Houston Outlaws.

A small correction: Infinite didnt even give them money for the Danteh signing. Their academy team GGEA was to be cut by Infinite so they traded its main tank and bright spot Smurf for Danteh.

Muma is absolutely g a r b a g e .
Like legit the dude threw full fights by charging in and getting instantly killed. He even tried to make a good play by charging the enemy rein. . not into a wall. . but off the map. It turned out to screw him though, when he didn't reach the end of the map and got pinned and killed instantly.
I still laugh about when the wheel landed on the justice at the end of the valiant episode and he said “I didn’t wanna tell a happy story anyway”

My biggest concern going into season 3 for Houston is the loss of Jake. For better or for worse, Jake was the leader of this team. With him gone no one on the current roster feels like a shot caller.
That being said, I’m still looking forward to what the Outlaws bring this season and I’m glad that they were finally able to make some moves.
Seriously, not many people are mentioning his absence. We he was on stage he was huge for the team
Jake retiring does fill a hole for shot calling, which is where Jecse come to play.

As a fan of this team, I hated that we couldn't even get new players. So happy that we got a new org, and we've finally been able to upgrade.
I'd put them middle of the pack now, though we ought to upgrade at main tank.

Honestly, Muma was the last problem that needed to be fixed. He was the only player over the last two seasons to be consistently good.

@@kasimirtg4375 Yeah I know, but all the other problems have been fixed now, except possibly getting a more consistent hitscan. I don't like it when people say Muma is bad, because he's not at all, but we could do with an upgrade over him.
@@kayamoosic Yeah, that's fair. I personally would love to drop Coolmatt off the roster for a main tank who is highly proficient on specifically Orisa, as well as proficient on Rein and Sigma. Muma is definitely strongest on Winston and Hammond, so getting someone who is strong where he is weaker would be great.

Danteh on dva isn’t inherently a bad idea especially if you plan to have him play some Sombra. He used to play dva I think back when quad tank was a thing. Same with like surefour and gladiators played him on dva sometimes on maps like Paris where they were playing with 3 dps and they wanted to swap back to goats

I will say, I like the moves that they have made so far this season, but I'm a little confused about what they will be doing as a starting line-up for Se3St1. Without a doubt, main tank will be Muma, since he is still one of the only reasons to have ever been excited for this team, but what will they do for flex tank? If it is still Orisa-Sig comps running the meta, will they play Meko on flex tank, or will Hydration flex his stuff? Will they start Boink-Rawkus, or will they move over to Rapel-Jecse, which I think would be a more consistent support duo, but knowing this team, they will probably do some shit, mixing Korean and American supports. Who will be the second DPS beside Danteh. If this team is smart, Danteh should be their constant, but who will pair with him. If Hydration is flexed onto Sig, and the meta doesn't favor any Snipers, than would they pair Blase with Danteh out the gate, or would they keep LiNKzR in anyways? If Meko is flex tank, will it be a Danteh-Hydration duo?
So many questions about this team for the upcoming season, and no real clue. They will definitely be improved, as they actually have a solid flex tank for once, but the lack of a definitive DPS or Support duo really puts me on edge. Overall, I'm just cautiously hopeful for the upcoming season.

like seriously, they could have chosen 'any' other team that was better, heck even the Dragons and using the narative of "the team that was mocked and joked became the champions!" instead of "the houston outlaws spent days scrimming and the night before the big match talking with their fans, before coming out to perform!"

I think houston is a real title contender next year. Muma has always been good, and with strong support from rapel, jecse and meko he can really pop off. Top it off with a danteh/hydration dps duo and they look real strong.
Hydration and Danteh doesn't look strong enough imo
