🤭🤭🤭🤭😁😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣
The System was SOOOOOO ahead of their time!!!
Barton Taylor true
I agree with you on this...
The perfect mix of electro funk and synth pop.
Way way ahead
Yup.
Revolutionary music originators who did not get any credit way ahead of their time musicians musicians.
2023 & I'm still rocking to this track! Baptise The Beat!
I know all too well what a Jam like this does to anybody that came up in The 80's.Aka The Fresh Era.The Masters of Synth Soul and Pop.THE SYSTEM!
Fire back then and still to this very day,,,,,, 34 years later. Timeless!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
David Frank was a monster on the keyboard.
he handled several keyboards at the same time and had exquisite control.
Arriendale pieza entonces
@@cesarcarrasco2597 ud es loko?
This song still rocks to this day, nothing like the 80s music bruh!
one of my fav tracks...2020 & still listening!
this is still the jam
November 28, 2019 Beat Street Soundtrack Forever!!!
This Song is Still Dope.
Still jamming to this in 2023💃
A very underrated song i liked this back in the day when i bought the Beat Street soundtrack👍🏾
this sound track is a classic
THE SYSTEM WAS NO NO JOKE....WITH THAT SYNTH POP BASS LINES WERE CRAZY.....DECADES AHEAD OF THEIR TIME.......
From a guy who was born in 1986,I must admit, this was my theme song in high school!! lol
I love this song and the movie of beat street
35 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THIS *CLASSIC* MOVIE.... IT'S HARD TO COMPREHEND THIS SONG WAS CREATED SO MANY YEARS AGO. WAAYY AHEAD OF ITS TIME....
The System's music could be discovered 3000 years from now and people would say it sounds futuristic
Man memories
Got a Time Machine went back in to the 80s Beat Street movie shoot Damm what a rush!
Great song, just brought a whole bunch of memories. I bought the cassette tape back in 84 before I watched the movie and loved all the songs.
What can I say but.........One hell of a classic. Still jammin to this t'day
For a person like myself that loves production , this is the holy Grail 💯💪🏾🔥✊🏾🫵🏾
These guys made some killer albums.
2024...still baptizing the beat...
Badass!
This was my jam to pop too off the hook sound. The System underrated and as for Mick Murphy vocal style ever gets the credit it deserves
i think we can all agree that the system made magic 🎉🌠
Great song
This was a time were I had to listen trough whole albums as I rarely had the vinyl but cassette only. Took too much time to forward the tape to the next track so I got to know all my cassettes very well. Later on some type of "skip to next song" technology was introduced on cassette players. Miss the days where we had to carry the music around. It was more appreciated.
ventende APSS ❤️🙏🏽
LOL
ahh yes
but... you had the counter on the tape
or
if you didn't have the counter you could tell from the window on the tape where it was at
i remember the days of carrying tapes around and having walkmans or Ghetto Blaster's and let's not forget the D Size batteries you kept in a plastic bag.
what was it ..... 6, 8 D Size batteries haha i think it was 8 not sure
i remember the plastic bag was heavy and used to break sometimes if it bounced too much when you carried it or rode it on your BMX
good times... indeed
@@martinkuliza Sweet memories indeed. Btw, I remember some nasty battery acid leaking from those barrel sized ghettoblaster batteries if they were stored too long unused inside the player. Golden 80's nostalgia.
@@Underhills
haha. that's right
and sometimes it'd be there so long that you'd open that battery compartment and it'd be rust,
or .. what about this one....
when the little clips used to break on the battery cover compartment, SO YOU CRACK OUT THE BLACK ELECTRICIANS TAPE HAHA
and you tape the fucker up because there was no way in the world you were buying a new radio haha
This was my shit i was only 6 when it came out .. beat street 🔥🔥💪🏾💯
From one of my absolute dopest favorite movies with so many hip hop greats!!! The System was the shhhhh
This song is Sick!!!
I love this song and it sounds great to me I the system

Definitely Ahead of Time! ... did Anyone peep he used the slang "A'Yo" Back Then in the 80's? 🤔 ... he said it in This song, he said (A'yo Baptise the Beat) baptise the Beat baptise the beat Tuh! 😂😂🙌🏾
Damn!
Éste es todo un TEMAZO, melódico pero con mucha FUERZA, me encanta y me ELECTRIFICA, por cierto una BUENÍSIMA película todo un referente y llena de GRANDES ARTISTAS del HIP HOP,

My most favorite movie next to fast forward breakin, breakin 2 electric boogaloo i was born in 1987 but these are the best movie classics

you forgot BMX Bandits
you forgot GLEAMING THE CUBE
you forgot TRON
Need i go on ?
PROJECT X
FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR
honestly,i could just go on and on with all the great classics you missed
Tougher than leather was too underrated
@@martinkuliza - She's talking about hip hop films.
And you can't just list every classic 80's movie, there's hundreds.
And a lot of the ones you mentioned are shit.
@@elgordo4465
Indeed it was
@@tobietera
i know what she was talking about
I was in a mood, i wasn't having a go at her, i was just being funny and mucking around
take it with a grain of salt
also.... tougher than leather was a hip hop movie
so was BMX Bandits if you look at it the right way :P
Dope
Great stuff ! David Frank playing with different rhythms here. Handclaps on the backbeat
Ruud Voest I love how you noticed that ! Good one awesome ass beat
Was unfortunately never on an Street Sounds Electro
Why would it be, it's not Electro.
WELCOME BACK..............1500
Intro sounds so much like a Commodore 64 game.
yeah.. that was the times
actually it's more like a mainframe computer that is working on Reel to Reel Tapes and is processing information really quick
but yeah the sound you're hearing is SID Chip SID... SOUND INTEGRATION DEVICE
you could program the SID chip of the C 64 if you knew how to code BASIC
thats how you get the sound from the games , it's all done from the SID chip
@@martinkuliza The greats like Ban Daglish knew how to get the most from that chip.
Indeed he did. David Whittaker too. R.I.P. Daglish, may your music live on.
Song good ...beat off
Im here because I told my wife this was a real song by a real group and she didnt believe me, but I couldn't remember the name of the group.
😮
DAVID FRANK WENT ON TO PRODUCE X-TINA FRANKLIN,BAKER,HOLIDAY, AGUILERA??
Why is this not on one of their albums?
None like The System! None!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What in the heck kind of beat is this. It's so disjointed like in some weird 3/7 time signature.
