With that being said, I have high hopes for the series 😂
@OGRICK. I wouldn’t call Child’s Play 3 or Cult Of Chucky bad, I would call them just decent.
Nah Child's Play 3 was great, Bride was ok, Seed was awful, Curse and Cult was awful, I don't know what happen to Don ever since Bride he's been frat falling down the stairs with this franchise, he needs to find that old mojo he lost in his writing and iron out his directing techniques and I hope he does that with this show, fingers crossed 🤞
@@johnboko7110 Yea I actually love Child’s Play 3 but in comparison to part 2 it just falls flat. But yea you’re right. I hope this show actually goes back to the roots of what made this franchise so great
@@ogrick Don always keep saying that he wants to take it back to the roots of what the fans want but up to now he can't get it right, which is shocking because he is the creator but he ain't the first, George Lucas was another one and so as James Cameron, I guess it's just goes with the old saying "Lightning only strikes in a bottle once"
@@ogrick Child's Play 3 has it ups and downs but it was still a solid installment to Child's Play 2 by a long shot.

I’d love to see you do more of these type of lives with people passionate about certain franchises. Scream you could probably get Beyond The Mask, Zack Cherry or like Craven Something Scary and his Lethal Collective (They’re a group of superfans).
Chucky Season 13: Chucky rules the multiverse
I actually love the idea of Andy passing his soul onto another doll to fight Chucky.
Imagine last episode of the Season, Andy is left for dead next to a Good Guy Doll but we don't see what happens to him. It ends with Chucky getting away in some way but the end credits stinger shows Tiffany getting a Good Guy Doll thinking it's Chucky. Doll stabs her and reveals that Andy passed his soul into the doll, now having a perfect disguise to blend in and hunt down the other Chucky's.
Could be a fun idea to play with but that's just my 2 cents 😁

I agree completely about what shouldn’t be shown on the Chucky tv show is a reason to sympathize with a remorseless murderer.
Or worse showing information to convince viewers they’re supposed to root for Chucky which doesn’t work because he’s a villain.
That flaw was used in the awful remake (2007) Halloween.

I'd like to think that with each doll he possesses they are a bit weaker showing less strength like the one Andy took out in the asylum and the other one lost an arm but did not bleed?
I honestly do not know how Mancini could salvage Glen/Glenda in the eyes of the fan. That character seemed designed from the get go to be ridiculous and unpleasant to follow.
Phillip Vs Chucky... Then the ending is, a cliffhanger where Phillip sends Chucky into space. Then the next movie Chucky is in Space, and fights the Killer Klowns From Outer Space!!!!
I'm still not sure Chucky looks right. It seems like they've had problems getting Chucky's look right for a long time now. I would say Bride was the last time there didn't seem to be something "off" about it. This may be a slight improvement over the feminine Cult look. I'm not sure what they are doing wrong, but I'm not convinced this is the Childs Play 2 look.

The look of him on the poster is spot on to his design from Child's Play 2 like that is OG Chucky to a T minus the long hair but when you see him in the trailer it speak a different volume and I kind indifferent about that look, it's looks like we're being mislead and baited, Like is it really that hard Don ? Just get Kevin Yeager on the phone, The design looks like a mix mash of his design from Child's Play 2 and Cult of Chucky.
Theu want it to stand on it's own also. They are doing great at moving forward.

Comparing the original film to any of the sequels is like comparing a Zebra 🦓 to a horse 🐴.
Well the horse was Child's Play 1,2,3 and then Bride is where the horse got sick and then it died with Seed then became a Zebra with Curse, Cult
Glenn is not a jar jar. Bad comparison. Glenn is perfect as the mama’s boy in Tiff’s playing house scenario. But Glenn was split into twins so he’s not in the doll anymore either.
What it is with Curse and Cult being different is Don Mancini doesn't like the idea of just making basic slasher Chucky movies, he sees it as boring and bland. He wants to do something totally different with each movie and give each film a different vibe and feel, that's why all the films he's directed all feel totally different for better or worse.
Which is why this franchise is awesome

Glen/Glenda already died. Or at least that was implied in Curse.
If Tiffany can come back then sure as hell Glen and Glenda can too, I don't recall that Curse reference anything that they were dead after Seed, But we shall see.

Hearing about this makes me glad I only watched the first two. Child’s Play 2 was my favorite. I may see 3 and curse. Seed and cult sound like dog shit. The remake wasn’t too bad.
Don't bother with Seed, Curse and Cult just watch Child's Play 1,2,3 and Bride, Only stuff you need to know from Curse is that Andy blow off half of Chucky's head off when he mailed himself to his house to kill him at his house and Andy kept his head in a post credit scene that transition to the next film Cult where he has his head severed off from his body nailed and stapled to a wooden board kept in a wall safe to take every once in a while to torture him for some childhood truma payback to try and get some answers about his plans, before that Chucky try to kill this paralyzed Woman and her family for revenge many years before the first movie where her and her sister's mother became a Widow because Chucky at the time in his human form killed her husband and he kidnapped her and held her hostage at her own will because he was deeply in love with her and she betrayed him by miraculously contacting the police while taped and handcuff to a bed at a building with sunflower around and he stabbed her in her stomach with the impregnated child that is the paralyzed Woman and he ran off to Chicago that led to him getting shot by a detective that led to him near death with his knowledge on voodoo transfers his soul into the doll at a toy store and at the end of the film all the family members get killed except the paralyzed woman who got framed, sentenced guilty and transferred to a mental institution then in Cult all you need to know is that Chucky duplicate his souls before Curse offscreen into other dolls and one of them by the end of that movie was able to transfer their soul into the paralyzed Woman and left the mental institution with his wife while Andy is in a cell room locked up, There you go, If you want to know more feel free to ask me I'll try to answer some when I have time, if you want to check the films out then go ahead, if you enjoy them then good on you.
I know this is very late but on the subject of a high school student carrying around a child’s doll... have you seen teenagers today? The kid just seems like a classic hipster kid trying to express his personality, his love for vintage toys, stuff etc. I don’t think it is far fetched for a teenager to carry around an old doll to create some sort of individual personality that he feels makes him unique, that is how all advertising is aimed at this generation; “ be yourself, stand out..” I could totally buy the concept of a modern teenager dragging around a “vintage” doll to make themselves stand out.
I do wonder why people keep saying Chucky is not as popular as Jason or Michael or Freddy and that true but then they go as further as saying he isn't recognize nearly as much as them now that's just simply not true Chucky is literally always on the top 10 when we are talking about Classic horror movies or Iconic horror movie Characters or slashers in general and that's a fact, people keep implying that the series went down hill after seed and it's modern iterations when in fact it's doing way better then most of the classic killer's such as 2009s Friday the 13th and 2010s Nightmare on Elm street, Hellraiser, Leatherface and I would Count Scream but Scream 4 actually revive the series no matter how many people didn't feel like it was done justice but Michael and Chucky are the only ones that are still on going and doing good well Halloween just recently because before that It wasn't doing good either but 2018 did it justice while both Curse which was an amazing film IN MY OPINION in the series of Child's play did good and Cult as well did good and actually went to theaters eventhough it took some time to put it in there but Chucky's movies as of late people have really enjoyed even if they still have heavy criticism on it.
I've always argued that if Freddy, Michael, and Jason are the big 3 then Chucky is #4.

Not a Cody fan. Now before I get torn apart I’m sure he is a great guy, but I’m not a fan of his channel. I’m the same with Drums. I just thing there is too much clashing of styles

You already are coming off bothered by the comment which was in no way disrespectful or insulting to you personally. I’m not comparing you to drums. I was saying that I feel the same about both programs and that my problem was the styles in which they are presented clash with me.

Chucky is a comedy. I showed my nephews the first two movies before they were 8. They laughed all the way through. IMO these are not horror movies.
Well, you’re wrong then lmao. They are definitely horror films regardless on whether you laughed or not.
