- Racing with a controller in F1 23 is awesome. However, I have a couple tips, tricks and settings to make it even better. I guide you through selecting the right control scheme, being able to change brake bias and differential through MFD shortcuts, calibrating the controller buttons to fix issues, selecting the best vibration and feedback settings, which racing techniques you should use, and some controller specific tips and tricks.

I just set a fast lap several laps in a row after this, I was pretty good at F1 22 but the car slides so much more in the back than I expected and this literally stopped any loss of control, and allowed me to shave a second off my time each lap

Good Lord thank you! I was having a rough time with traction control from a too much responsive throttle. And my tire wearing management has improved too since direction doesn't make the car turn that much now and I can trace smoothly.

Hey Thomb. I watch you on Twitch as RedRune and I checked out these settings this morning and I would say it makes a difference. I play on PC and use a PS5 controller over a Xbox one I have as they don’t make good controllers for racing at all. So definitely recommend for controller users to have a PS5 or PS4 controller.

I was looking for controller settings for my PS5 dual sense to see if it was possible to turn the controller left and right to stear left and right, just like in Gran Tourismo game. I really hate the L1 joystick stearing and I don't find the answer that I was hoping to find.

In f1 23 I have the problem when the wheels are locking I can't understand it early I don't know why
For example in f1 18 in options has an extra vibration on my controller before the wheels lock so I can understand the limits of the grip
Each time I put the power on with full assists on tight corner s I loose traction. I need to make your changes.
Why is it that when I turn into a tight corner it always drifts. Can u tell me how to fix that?

I have put throttle saturation to 100 😂 I am too slow after kissing the apex of a curve and trying to get back to 100% speed

Keyboards in f1 23 is a horrible idea, controller is a must
@@JtheMitch yes there's people that played F1 2021 on a keyboard. Me! Level 65 I won every race with one exception: Monaco. My first F1 game was Grand Prix 1 and 2. People played in that time with a keyboard. There wasn't controllers. For F1 23 I admit is hard to play it on keyboard (tryed all configs i could) that's why i bought a ps5 dual sense controller. F1 23 is focused on controller gaming. I'm getting use to play with a controller. That's it! There are still people playing on a keyboard. You'll find out...just google it :)

DRS is what f1 drivers use to overtake. So what you are saying is you have the same thing assigned to 2 different buttons?

What about sound? Why is the sound during the race so terrible? What wrong?
Does anyone know why all of a sudden every car that I drive just barely turns left and right it’s like the game just doesn’t register the input as much. My settings are all correct and controller works fine
It might be turning assist, if it's on it'll try to keep you on the natural racing line.
No I don’t use any turning assist the only assist I use is abs

Wouldn’t you say “sweet spot” is all based on personal driving?
Do you have to do this for every track or just one track?
These are general settings that will apply across the whole game!
I"m usually a steering wheel nazi when it comes to racing games but I don't have the room in my current place so I might end up trying this one with a controller and see if it's fun
pad players really play with adaptive triggers in on?
Try it out and see if you prefer it!

That’s odd, that should not be the case at all, quite the opposite with this game
@@THOMB I play on controller, and every turn on the myteam gamemode I can’t do without having no traction and I tested it out and maxed out the car and same thing
