    Loved the tutorial, it's super helpful + nicely designed. I was wondering if you could go over how you got the coin to do that 'dipping' in its' position in the preview animation. Thanks!

      Hey Ana! Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes! So you basiclally just have to play around with the graph editor. Note that it might take time and skill for you to understand graph editor (i'm still learning myself!). But i got a tutorial for that:

    I added the side colour and the coin is still remaining the same colour throughout. What could I be doing wrong? I followed this tutorial to the tee!

    i have a question, with this method, can we increase the extrusion of any png / vector image? If so then my work will be so much easier!!!
    Otherwise I'll probably have to track the texture to the rotation of the coin 😔

    • @Animotion1
      @Animotion1  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey yes it only works with Shape layer I believe. And you can just parent your png to the shape layer of you want

    if I change the renderer to Cinema will it affect anything else too? Like in a negative way or will this just add the ability to use 3D in after effects?

    • @Animotion1
      @Animotion1  Před 2 lety

      Good question. I think it mainly adds the 3D ability, though it'll slow your computer down. It might change some render preview, I think. But I'm not 100% sure.

    Really useful and inspiring video! Following your tutorial I am trying to create a coin, but the rotation is never "perfect" but it does a rotation slightly off axis (I hope I explained myself well ahaha). Why?

    • @Animotion1
      @Animotion1  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey! Thank you for watching! I think you gotta make suree that the axis is in the middle of the coin. Sometimes, eventhough X & Y axis seems to be on the coin, the Z axis isnt. so make sure your z axis is centered on the coin too :)

    Hi! I tried to do so, but importing my own layers of a coin made in photoshop. However, there was no "extrusion" option to use. It appears only when I create a shape or something like that and never if I use already prepared pictures. Do you have any idea why it is so? I am using Adobe After Effects 2021

    • @Animotion1
      @Animotion1  Před 2 lety

      Hey! I believe it's only possible for Shape layers unfortunately :( however what you can do, is create the shape layer, import your PSD design, then make the PSD 3D and attach (or parent) that to the shape layer. Not sure if it'll work, but that's one way I can think of. Give that a go!
