    He is one of the greatest living exponents of Traditional Jazz and Dixieland. A wonderful player with perfect tone and he can improvise effortlessly...Thanks for posting this!!!

    I love the shot of the beautiful colors and shapes of New Orleans French Quarter architecture! The light is beautiful on the white, pink, yellow, and whatever that tomato soup/cream of tomato, terra cotta, shrimp creole, red beans color is called on the last building.

    I love “Sunny Side”. I always play it on Tenor. Sounds great on Clarinet. Hmm, I could try it on my alto or bass clarinet!

    Looks like a Charles Bay ligature. Is it ? I have one and C. Bay O-L piece I bought back in the early 80’s !

    What clarinet and mouthpiece do you use?

      ... and which reed? He plays a Boehm, but he almost sounds as if playing an Albert. Sticks the mouthpiece relatively deep into his mouth. I think this is how he gets that sonorous tone, almost reminding me of Johnny Dodds or Sidney Bechet.
