    I have found the instructions online to confirm. Based on room temperature water, heating at the 3rd setting, can take anywhere from 4-8 minutes depending on how much formula and water you have in the bottle. Also the size of the bottle is a factor too. So it's not my warmer that isn't defective that's the length of time it takes to warm bottles with this warmer. Other warmers put there may take less time but you may pay more for it. I hope you found the timer tip useful! :-)

    does this work with any bottle?

    6 minutes on 3 is about the right amount if your formula is from the refrigerator. If it is room temp you cook it for less.

    If you are using a 4 oz bottle for a newborn, how long would you let the bottle warm? Also if I am pumping will I need to warm the milk?

      Hi Alexis, I would check the manual for exact heating times-a lot of factors come into play such as whether it is coming from the fridge or room temperature. How much formula is in the bottle will also change heating times. I remember it taking less than 5 minutes for sure...I still heated up my bottles with breast milk inside. Personal preference but my baby wouldn't take it any other way :) Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    Does this work for breast milk as well?

      Kara E hi Kara, absolutely! You'll want to try out a couple to see what works best for you and your baby. Every baby is different. The Avent natural brand is great--I highly recommend. The nipple is slightly different which is supposed to be better for mamas who go back and forth between Breast and bottle. Medela bottles are great too but way more expensive. Thanks for your comment and congrats!

      +Daryl Hall Hi Daryl, put your bottle with formula/milk in first....then add your water. You'll know how much is right as too little won't warm it properly, and too much will overflow... Hope this helps!

    It does have a self timer the light turns off when it's ready

    • @twonewparents
      @twonewparents  Před 9 lety +2

      Brittney Stewart the light turns off when it has finished a "heating cycle". These cycles keep going for several minutes so you have no idea how long it's been in for. As mentioned in this video, if you use your own timer you can know exactly when your bottle is ready.
