  • Toyota Yaris Cross V First Drive! [Car Review]
    The 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross V is the top-spec gasoline trim of the local 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross. In this Filipino car review, we take the 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross V out for a quick drive to see how well it performs on the road. The 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross V has an underwhelming performance considering the lack of torque. The 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross V is meant mostly for city driving, since it does not have the right amount of torque to help pull it on the highway. The 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross V has a good set of features for a Toyota, and is decently equipped considering the price. However, if you are looking for absolute performance, the 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross cannot serve you here. The better cars for driving performance are the ones coming from Chinese brands with higher torque and power. The 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross is meant for connected drivers who don't care much about power. They care more about the badge, the reliability, and the features that the 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross V can provide.

      Try looking at the 1.3M Corolla cross instead. They're similar in size already but bigger engine on the corolla cross.

    I was disappointed when Honda raised the pricing for the HRV (and most of their models), switched my attention to the Creta and Kicks, but I think Toyota may have just come up with a segment killer with the introduction of the Yaris Cross.

    Hi @ReygansRides I’m a huge fan of your work which is why your opinion matters a lot to my decision making when buying a car.
    My wife and I are looking at a crossover and we have narrowed down our choices to the Yaris Cross V and HR-V S. I know you’ve reviewed both cars in your channel. 1 thing that I noticed was it seemed like you had more fun driving the Yaris Cross V even though it has lower power on paper compared to the HR-V S. I have test driven the Yaris HEV and HR-V turbo since those were the only units available. I found the overall interior finishing and build quality to be better on the HR-V.
    Which one would you choose between the two and why? Thank you! 😊

      Hello @@@ReygansRides May I also know your answer to the above question? We are eyeing on BRv vx first then my wife notice the HRV. only able to test drive the BRV VX since it is the only car available but the concern we have is the space and the interior is too boring like an old car, then comes to HRV which we think is better looking inside and out side. Since then my wife is now considering 5seater cross over and I think the better competition to HRV S is the yariss cross V.

    Man that thing is a STEAL. All those features for only 1.3M, plus you're getting Toyota's reputation for reliability. Yaris Cross is giving those Chinese cars a run for their money. LMFAO 🤣
    I hope Toyota would gain success on this line. 🙂

    • @jakerex32
      @jakerex32 Před 11 měsíci +2

      Well for 1.3M, i would expect also a 1.5L Turbo charged engine which is good for at least 160+ hp and 240+ NM of torque. Like most of those chinese cars that you have just mentioned 😂

    • @inzane456
      @inzane456 Před 8 měsíci +1

      But is it really giving the Chinese brands a run for their money?
      It's only a matter of time until Toyota is pushed off their high horse, maybe then they'll stop disrespecting the Filipino consumer by constantly treating it as a throwaway dumping market for unwanted supplies.
      It took them this long to create a competitive product against the Chinese offers, yet they still cut the Filipino short. No turbo? Hybrid at 1.6m? Really? Hahahahaha
      Just wait til the Chinese start offering their hybrids at 1.3m.
