Cole444Train it is the best fallout game if you’re not counting 1 and 2. Fallout 3 was a good attempt but ultimately failed to live up to its predecessors. Fallout 4 isn’t even an RPG and it’s definitely not a true fallout game. New Vegas is the only 3D fallout game to live up to its predecessors, which makes sense because it was made by the same people who made fallout 1 and 2.
Wayne Cameron new Vegas has no family attachments? Do you know what an RPG is? You make your own story. (ROLE PLAYING GAME). You’re not supposed to have big attachments, that’s why new Vegas lets you do whatever you want.
The event at dublin diner can actually be resolved without murdering anyone, and having both parties as vendors, in vanilla Fallout 4.

This is what I've been missing in F4. Every time I play it, I'm thinking: I miss the atmosphere from Fallout Tactics where settlements looked like armed to the teeth fortresses made out of every scrap there could be found and where the wandering in the outland made you squeeze your butt cheeks as hard as you could so you don't shit yourself once more when you see what's running towards you out of the fog/dust.

You say that as if the modders put in nearly as much work as the companies. Half of these mods are made with recycled assets. The companies make the whole story environment engine and assets

Also helped me through my discovery phase and gave me lots of laughs and chuckles. I wish you the best of luck with this CZcams stuff. I always play with overgrown mods because everything should be overgrown considering how much time has passed, that was something I absolutely loved about the last of us, the greenery was everywhere

I've always thought how interesting it is that normal players can mod a game to make it much more immersive and fun to play than what the original developers come up with. It frustrates me at the same time too because this is the kind of stuff the developers should be making for the game and they aren't.
Modders could literally come together and make better games than what the major game developers are coming up with.
Back in the day, when games like fallout were invented, the modders were developers, and the developers were modders. It was all about love of the hobby.
Step one: become a billionaire
Step two: aquire Bethesda
Step three : fire all the incompetent programmers,graphical artists,and game designers. Hire new ones
Step four: profit.

I don't know, if adding more decay 200 years after the bombs dropped is more immersive. I mean, it's the same timespan as between now and 1819. I think, they would either repaired a lot more than in the vanilla game (or at least would get rid of the wreckages and corpses), or the area would be totally overgrown without propper maintenance.

I thought this was gonna be a set of mods to make Fallout 4 more like 1 and 2, or at the very least, New Vegas. Ya know, making Fallout 4 actually feel like it was made by the original devs of Fallout.
That'd be a nice mod pack to make a video on.
this is still pretty damn good. Making F4 like 1,2 or new vegas would require a mod that with extensive and deeply rich written story, quests, factions, multiple outcomes to deal with said factions, a more deeply involved skill and perk system. And maybe getting rid of the same repetitive settlement quests.

Those mods are awesome! I love f4, it's my favorite game of all time. And maybe I'm one of the only people that think Bethesda did a good job. I mean they could've designed it exactly as those mods portrayed it, but it's like he said, the frame rate requirements will bog your machine down and possibly cause an explosion similar to an overworked Mr. Handy caught in a paradoxical loop. But seriously, Bethesda should hire some of these people. That's quality work.
