  • Breaking: Senegal’s Youngest President VOWS to make Africa Great Again
It's widely known that many older African leaders have not been successful in their roles. These leaders,
often seen as weak, greedy, and self-serving, tend to forget that they are meant to serve the people
once they attain power. They lack accountability and transparency, which has led to corruption
becoming prevalent in African politics. It's no surprise that many African countries feature prominently
on the list of the world's most corrupt nations.
This situation arises from the fact that Africa is home to politicians who manipulate constitutions for
their gain, embezzle public funds at the expense of the people, and silence those who expose their
wrongdoing. However, there is hope for change as a new generation of African leaders is emerging.
These leaders are committed to combating corruption and working towards the betterment of their
    countries.
One such leader is Bassirou Diomei Faye, the recently elected president of Senegal and the world's
youngest elected president. Faye has made it his mission to distinguish himself from the older
generation of African leaders. Unlike many African presidents who come to power through fraud,
constitutional manipulation, or suppression of opposition, Faye's election can be considered fair and
    just.
There were no reports of electoral violence or manipulation to secure votes for Faye. Instead, his
campaign, led by Usman Sanko, successfully attracted support, particularly from young Senegalese who
were dissatisfied with the outgoing administration. It's worth noting that Faye faced significant time
constraints, as he had only one week to conduct his campaign after being released from prison, where
he had been held for the past 11 months on charges believed to be politically motivated.
In a surprising turn of events, Faye emerged victorious, securing 54% of the presidential vote. However,
there was something remarkable that caught everyone's attention. Just two days before the election, on
March 22, 2024, Faye took to his Facebook page and made an unprecedented move in African politics.
He publicly disclosed his entire wealth portfolio.
This act was truly uncommon in the realm of African politics. None of the other 18 presidential
candidates, including the ruling party's nominee, Amadou Ba, had revealed their wealth. Faye's
publication, titled "Heritage Declaration of the Candidate," provided a comprehensive list of his assets
and liabilities dating back to October 2007.

He's an inspiration with happy speeches that contain no meat. He hasn't mentioned implementing any plans to improve the lives of Senagese people. Traore came in with a plan, remove insurgents, build the military, manufacture resources to make jobs (tomatoes to ketchup). Build a Nuclear power plant, schools and hospitals. Talking without saying anything of substance!

President Faye is a rare breed of a true and genuine leader. May God Almighty bless him to lead Senegal to the highest echelons to set an example for Africa.

You who give loans to Africa should not only insist on Assets and Liability Statements of African Leaders and their ministers but should equally refrain from kickbacks on loans

It should be mandatory that they provide disclosure of their wealth before they are allowed to take public office. After all they wish to be servants of the public ie be employed by and work for the public. Therefore it is right and proper for them to be transparent to their employers

Faye and Traore are not the same. Faye was fairly elected and has legitimacy. Traore was not elected and holds no legitimacy. Faye promises more democracy and freedom, while (from a speech I heard) Traore lambasted individual liberty under the guise of the public good. Though, I do agree that the right of the individual should not jeopardize the public interest, that shouldn't be a reason to dismiss individual rights.

As long as neocolonial and globalist entities continue to control his countries resources and their militaries remain in his country, he will not serve as an example to take away spotlight from Traore..
The populations do not want loose chains. They want no chains. That is the difference..

There is no meat on his words; there is no reason to his rhymes. He sounds and looks like a smiling cheerleader that is not actually playing in the game. 1.) He needs to worry about Senegal, he is not the president of Africa. 2.) He has laid out no plans for the future. 3.) How will he improve the lives of the Senegalese people? 4.) He should be following the blueprint set by Ibrahim Traore. 5.) Instead of following the plans of Traore, he's meddling in the affairs of Burkina Faso. 6.) Traore and the other Sahel states have made great strides while he's done nothing for Senegal. 7.) The guy is a phony, his suggestion the Sahel Alliance rejoin ECOWAS, the known political puppets of the west proves he's also a puppet.
