    I started using the posture corrector but the one you also need to strap the waste for about 10 months. They always told me it just a reminder to keep your shoulders back. Now I can feel the change on my shoulders and back. My chest is out and my posture looks and feels so much better ! So yes i recommend to use a posture corrector but try to use it consistently. I use this only when i work.

    I think the best thing to say is, they will not work in fixing everything but they are a great reminder for you to keep your shoulders back, they are there to help and remind you about your posture. if you do nothing but rely on these to do it all though, I dont think anything will change

      these things from my experience are slightly fixing muscle shortening (major contributor into round shoulders), but thee main effect is muscle memory. after around a week of using a brace, you gonna feel that you span your shoulders without thinking

    Hey Tim! I'm a fellow Physical Therapist and I agree with you in the sense that short term it can help provide relief but the problem I find is that they are marketed as a solution for correcting your posture as an easy fix which makes people choose this as an alternate to actual strengthening of the key muscles . Also in my head the logic of using these long term would cause a decrease in extensor activity and overall lose in strength in these muscles and thus in the long term making your posture worse. That's my 2 cents 🙌 ...on a side note , I do Love your videos and your channel..cheers 🙌

      What if you use them and strengthen those muscles? Seems like the longer the muscle is in a good position if you strengthen it, when it heals it will heal in the superior position. Idk just a thought

    Thank you for making this video. I slouch and roll my shoulders forward all the time. I will be buying a posture brace to help me get into the habit of keeping my shoulders back and looking into and starting exercises to fix the problem permanently.

      Think of it as parents.
      They'll support you and do everything for you until you reach a curtain age. Afterwards its on you to be responsible.

      @@Tagrush1689just use it while strengthening you’re back muscles at the same time. Eventually you’ll feel no need to use it anymore. Like if you break ur leg you’re gonna use a wheel chair until you can walk again. If you use the wheel chair for months you’re either not healed or using it unnecessarily

    i am a bra creator, specialising in large and XL busts, and I'm wondering if you thought some very light posture braces, but not a full on one, just some lighter elatics in those areas could be helpful to improve posture and back pain for heavy busts? I would of course consult a physician about how to implement it exactly, but i'm wondering what your or anyone on here's thoughts are? thanks!

      Ooooh do you make custom bras? I’m a 34/36 J and I’m always on the hunt for the perfect bra.
      You know those clips used to pull the straps together in the back for certain sleeve cut styles? I feel like those always helped a lot with my back pain and made me stand up straighter! Of course the biggest issue is the cup cutting into the tissue on the front and causing quadboob.

      I like mainly buy bras that have the option for cross strapping in the back I feel like that helps with posture a lot. But it sucks that they don’t make a lot of thick strapped bras that would help even better. And I’d also be more inclined to buy if they were also cute, posture is important but it’s nice to also feel cute lol

    So I just got a posture correction strap. Out of the box it was WAY too tight. I loosened it to the maximum adjustment so that it's snug and comfortable when my posture is correct. When I begin to round my shoulders it binds and gets uncomfortable, so I engage some muscles to straighten up. I do like the idea of wearing this for only one or two hours a day.

    Sleeping with the posture brace stops me rolling onto my side, rolling onto the side shoves all the torso weight onto my shoulder, which shoves it forwards, squashing it for hours every day.
    Obviously wearing the posture brace to bed HELPS.

      I’d get a back brace for lifting. They usually go around the lower back and keep your back from rounding/curving while doing things like squats and dead lifts

      Yes, I do when I lift weights because it balances you out, especially when I do curls with the barbell. I get a nice even motion

    The real question would there be is their literature to confirm that "bad posture" is actually linked to pain and other negative outcomes? Furthermore, would movement (ie breaking up prolonged sitting) have a greater or equal benefit to these braces?
    I dont like bracing as it implies 'posture' is someones problem rather than being immobile in inefficient positions for long durations. Add this to those same people being likely weak through their hips and mid back and I dont know if 'posture' is the real issue. Thoughts?

    I've got adhd so I constantly forget my surroundings, which also include my own posture. If I'm ever able to sit with my back straight I find that my head starts tilting to the side. I'm trying to use meditation as a way
    to learn mindfullness, but man it's really hard for me.

      @@thebuniverse6739 ADHD isn't a memory issue, it's a distraction issue. I have extremely good memory, everyone remarks about all the minutia details I can easily recall... but I often forget to go to the bathroom before it's almost too late simply because every little detail distracting me. Then there is time blindness not realizing how much time passes.

    they work better than not wearing them at all, but unless you make a conscious effort you probably will return back to bad posture if you dont have the discipline to keep doing it, its not like they going to bend up your spine into the correct form to fix it permanently

    Can a brace be beneficial when I'm wearing it when I sit for long times? I used to be very active, but ever since I study I have to spend so much time sitting and it's definitely not good for my back and posture 😭😭

      He doesnt mean a specific set of time, he means that this wont give permanent results. It helps keep your posture straight as you wear it so it temporarily relieves your problems but you should use it in conjuction with exercise so the results stay.

    Not needed. I had very bad posture about 1.5 years ago, rolled shoulders inwards and curved neck and spine. I now have near perfect posture. I started with yoga sessions which helped, painfully, stretch out the pecs and correct the shoulder pull but even then the position was never natural until i developed the back strength to hold it naturally. The reality is you have to be able to get the position and then be able to naturally effortlessly sustain it and yes that's very possible. What feels awkward and requires effort at the start, will ultimately become natural, using braces wont strengthen the muscles and its not about just getting the position if you dont have the muscles at the back to hold it, its pointless you will be sore and tired all day trying to keep position. You have to make it natural.

      @@PRIMORDIaL_Truflation The shoulder position was done with rolling and massaging the pec and stretching it over several sessions, this combined with work developing the upper back and shoulder muscles to naturally hold it open.
      I would recommend a yoga instructor for it because the results are good, it hurts to do, you wont enjoy the sessions much, but the results are great and long term. I cant tell you how huge a difference it made to me, my shoulders were rolled in, my neck forward and now, my posture is naturally tall and correct.
      Once you have it just remember to stretch and use the posture all the time and it will stay comfortably. The problem with doing it yourself is motivation, you really have to commit to a couple of months of hard work on it, and for me that's easier when you pay for a yoga instructor to do it in private sessions. I had a small female yoga instructor and believe me her strength could take me to the limits of what i could endure and she corrected it with ease.

    I had surgery done on my shoulder 8 mos ago & now I’m getting pinched nerves running down that arm each time I lean fwd, bend down or whenever not sitting/standing straight. I notice that placing my shoulder backwards, it stops or prevents pinched nerve cycle. Is there a brace that can pull or keep shoulder backwards?

    I operate a crane for a living. I’m in a seated position. I am leaning forward looking through a glass floor, between my feet for 8hrs + a day. Rounding my back and craning my neck is an issue. Do you think a brace like is would help me? Any other suggestions would be welcome. Thanks. 🍻

      It’s more like a supplement that should be applied with muscle strengthening and stretching of tight muscles to reduce poor posture.

    Those Chinese factory assembled "braces" in Amazon or not even close to the braves tested on athletes. They have to be custom made for the person or that will actually damage your spine. I'm 44 man, I've seen 8 million of you in my life. Knock it off, you're giving people stats on something they can't get on Amazon.
