Easiest way I have found is a 2 step solution:
Step 1- burn the entire area to the ground
Step 2- move far far away
If technology was better you could just buy a field emitter, basically it's a device of my own that if I made I'd have around 500k in a few weeks maybe, anyway just place the device in your house and tune it to the bug frequency and it puts an invisible barrier around ya house that only bugs can hear, when they enter your zone the field basically fries their brains n they die instantly, maybe I'll call it the windshield 🤣🤣🤣 but yea, it takes as much power as a lamp and can possibly repel larger creatures without death, like messin with a beehive but not as dangerous
🤣 agree
works for snakes too. giggle
Yeah they hate that burning wood smell. The one thing they think stinks!
Haha!
i was watching one crawl across my moniter as i watched this lol
😂😂😂😂
I hate them with an intense hatred
I’m infested thousands here... please pray for me :(
Eugh!!!
Ugh🤢
The stink bug on my pillow next to me watching this: 👀
I was all set and raring to go when you said we need some alcohol and we were going to have to mix it... and then I came rushing back down and saw I had all the wrong types of alcohol, but made a stiff drink and sat back and thought I will sit and learn and enjoy the video with a drink anyways! Cheers
🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂
Lovely knowledge to interrupt their mating season is a bonus literally.
Haven't seen these little bastards in 8 years but now they're back, I've won the war against these hellspawn stinkbugs once and damnit I'll do it again. Thanks for the help!
Best demo I’ve seen so far, and I’ve seen a lot. Thanks 🙏 for all the great tips!
I love this video Josh!
Nothing grosses me out more than stink bugs!
Tried the bottle trick. Works very well. Caught 20 in about 5 minutes
Sharing stuff is learning stuff, thanks Mr. Josh.
The Gatorade bottle trick is amazing. I successfully used it immediately! Thank you.
Once again your content is full of priceless information, which we go a long way of dealing with common problem we face a lot
Vicariously living the dream through your channel. Thanks for doing what you do.
I saw that in my yard before. Glad to know how to get rid of them. Thank you.
This was going to be the only comment:
I really like that tractor.
Added bit:
Stink bugs are scumbags, and our back yard is mostly corn field, and when it's not its soy; both are favorites of stink bugs.
You are very smart and wise man. Buying land and living cheap until you build your own house.
I like using my propane torch on these buggers, it really heats em up in a split second. Very satisfying.
The video was nice but I really liked what he said about living in a trailer that you and your wife paid for. And you refuse to build until your land is paid for. My people parish from the lack of knowledge. My car is paid for and I refuse to get a new car with a payment. My thought process is exactly like yours sir. Thank you for your wisdom, I just hope I wasn’t
the only one who caught that. 😎😎😎
Debt is prison.....being debt free is heavenly! We don't need to keep up with the Jone's...we just need a simply comfortable warm place to sleep, eat and live outside
You're so blessed to be able to live in a trailer until your land is paid for! Where we live, it's against the law or we would have done this as well. Just wanted to share so you know how fortunate you are. Keep on sharing these videos! Love them.
You can use polysorbate 80 for dissolving oil in water
Omgosh..thanks I hate these stink bugs all over my house, and been using peppermint oil but there's so many. I will try the bottle trick I guess but I hate them flying around my head. Your farm looks omg, so beautiful...that's the way to live. Makes my one acre look so little now.
I love this.
We are over run with stink bugs, especially after this last mild year.
Not going to tolerate another winter of a million stink bugs in the house. Yuck.
Thanks for the information on stink bugs. Have a great day.
Love this! Love the t-shirt. Thanks for sharing.
Wooooo!!! Got my notification for this one.
Absolutely great information. Gotta get some of that stuff and spray on my underware.
Put dish detergent and water in your bottle so they drown and the detergent kills them plus it prevents the smell.
I use a similar way to the bottle trick. Get a mason jar with a lid add 1/4 cup of water and a few squirts of soap, Shake well then go push them in. With the soapy bubbles, it traps them and they can't fly out when you open it for the next bug.
Oh my gosh I need that shirt!!!! 😂😂. Thanks for the tips!
Hey Josh 🇺🇲 that was a great Vlog I am covered up with stink bugs at my house in Alabama I will be spraying they're terrible and everywhere and the little white bugs thanks for the tip have a great day 🇺🇲 WOOOOOO !🇺🇲🇺🇲
I live in Indiana but, I live in a trailer park right in front of the woods so yeah I get lots of them.
Hi stoney ridge farms and family. I see Uncle *Earl* standing tall on the farm , good for him !
*Wooooh*
Heck yes, we hate Stink bugs here. These are great tips! Ordering some Eco spray now, thank you.
Thanks for the tips on stank bugs Josh!
Hello from Morganton. Love the videos keep them coming. Thought it was funny when at the end of the video you said that you have to deal with the stink from the chemicals “it’s just a fact of life.” I guess you have to fight stink with stink.
We have them here and there, but wow, they’re everywhere at your place!
I do the same thing with the bottle, just add a little bit of soapy water in the bottle so they die. I used to always have a spray bottle with soapy water around to kill them, now I spray everything with Talstar Pro. Highly recommended it if you are in a state that you can buy without a pesticide license, if not I would definitely try the sprays in the video.
Absolutely amazing content!!
Great video Josh
Great info Josh
I enjoyed watching this video thank you..
this guy is awesome - great video
Good tips, Josh. Thx
Good advice 👍. Your shirt is awesome
Man we got these suckers everwhere, thanks for the video!
Oh gosh! My sister was just complaining about them! We don't have any, but I'll forward this video to her, nice tips!
Lucky you!
We have them up north in Wisconsin. Thanks for the tip.
I have been using # 4 shot in the over and under. It is very effective but tears hell out of the sheet rock.
Thank you so much for this video!!
Thank you so much is absolutely helpful tips
I used cedarwood oil to make a spray for fleas on my dog. Works great. I will have to try this. They, the leaf-footed bugs poke holes in my tomatoes and then they taste nasty. I will try the cedarwood oil with soapy water for the tomatoes. Thanks for the advice.
Here are some elaborations for the Gatorade bottle trick. 1. Put a small amount of soapy water in the bottle to drown the bugs and mitigate the stink. (Do this in your shop vacs as well, if you’re vacuuming the stinkers.) 2. For bugs that are beyond your reach - and they do like heights - extend the bottle using vacuum cleaner wands or similar and they will jump down, usually all the way down, but you may need to tap the wand to coax the critter all the way into the bath you have prepared.
Like your living simple paying for your land before you get a house it will be a beutiful home when its finished thanks for info stinks bugs have arrived in NC
Such a helpful channel
Thanks John! I was just outside and they were all over the place...figured I'd show ya a cool cure...catching them that way is awesome!
Hi..... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
Awesome video!!!
Welllll I cant thank this mam enough and his Friend Paul! I grew up in Chicago as a child never heard of stink bugs until I moved to the burbs as an adult. My students told me about them. And boy am I glad. I kill everything for my twin daughters who hate bugs(me too but im the only parent on deck) . This bug has tormented the ladies since Friday; its Tuesday. I had to sleep in their room on the floor; one was calling my name all night awake and sleep. Got those Gatorade bottles yesterday. Found that sucker and bottle him just like you said. He was upside down so I thought it would work! No miss technique. Best CZcams tip ever!
Great video!
And i just resorted to chemicals.... drat. Ordered some for next time!
I love the shirt, because Stupid Should Hurt!!!!!
thumbs up shared great video well done
For sure I will that's magical method .Guy sprayed his house for repelling stink bugs and then caught 5 of them on walls. Works Excellent!!
Trying these when I get home from the fall fence forum.
I was watching the stinker go up in the eve when ya sprayed the wall .but great info and vid godbless buddy
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! We are inundated with the nasty pests right now.
Thank you for this, going to try they are all over the outside my house. I think I'm more impressed that you got a mobile home for $3500. Ours cost $99,000 and it is pre-owned with no land 😭
PETA just mobilized when he said “they’ll suffocate” 😂😂
Sounds awesome , if you can still get them in a bottle , does this concoction attract them to it and get in themselves then killing them ? Definitely gonna try the bottle trick !!!!! Thanks 👍
Inside, we use the cordless vacuum - especially for the ones that are high up on the wall or ceiling. But I will be saving my Gatorade bottles now!
Awesome advice, thanks so much! I’m definitely going to try to spray the eastern side of my house where they seem to like to hang out (and also where my deck and the most used door into my house is located grrr…). For inside I have found that duct tape works great in addition to the bottle method. I take a piece of duct tape, stick it on the stink bug so they can’t escape and then I thoroughly enjoy folding that tape over knowing that they’re trapped and dying in their own weird stench liquid. When you get good at the technique you can get multiple stink bugs in one “taping”, so satisfying!
That's funny, they like the heat but the eastern side of my house is where the sun is not shining in the afternoon but that's also the side their are millions. Also, I use the two cup method to catch the ones inside, or my wife who is shorter uses a vacuum insense method,
As Josh ignites the FlameThrower 🔥
my wife just tried the bottle catcher ( IT WORKED ) SHE CAUGHT 6 IN 2 MIN THANKS. Jim & Tammi in Alabama
I need to try this. I just used some packing tape yesterday to pick one up, and closed right in, but I was thinking duct tape might have worked better.
I’m going to try your method.
Hey Josh thank you for the video I enjoyed it and that's pretty cool there Josh now you are stink bug free woo he he
Thank you for the bottle tip. We use a special insecticide that Southern States carries. I'll have to try the Eco Smart. Thanks again. P.S. Hoping for a cold winter this year to beat down the population....come on polar vortex (giggle).
Oh, is that suppose to help? Whoo hoo I hope it's cold
I've been using that bottle method since they invaded my room! Definitely going out to buy some essential oils to mix a spray
Yuk to the stink bugs! Here in Florida we are in the first of two Love Bug seasons. I feel your pain!
Mention this cider method in my live feed and sent some folks over to check you out brother 👍
thanks
I live here in Lincolnton, and have a garden and they are mating.
Thanks brother awesome vid
A compressed air computer cleaner can is a good way to kill bugs because the air is freezing cold when it comes out.
Good advice.
Love your shirt😂
When you use the bottle put some vinegar in the bottle with some dish soap. Kills them and no smell.
I HATE those bugs!!!! They creep me out so badly!
I need old tractor repellent. I cleaned out the weeds around my barn and found myself neck deep in non running tractors. Don't know when breeding season is or I'd mix some alcohol and essential hydraulic oil and spray it all around.
If you need help with that problem let me know.
@@jasonsteelhorse two are heirlooms and two are parts tractors. Are you into b series international tractors?
LMAO That was a good one, sir!
@@matthewtaylor2185 I actually like old Fords and Massey's.
@@jasonsteelhorse my grandaddy had a jubilee ford...always liked the crackle of the little red tiger engine.
I have little led lights along the wall. When I hear the zzzzip noise or my cats are watching them intently...I know one came in. I just get a little plastic cup & scoop it up. Lucky for me I only get maybe 10 every winter. I might need I mighthyer solution if it was worse...😁
I use dawn soap and water in a bottle. They die on contact. Been doing this every year so far .works great.i can usually get about 7 or 8 in a day inside my house. Usually on my drapes.
just capture in a bottle and use this to keep them away from the house...it works!
Thank You !!! 👏
We have box elder bugs. Millions of them. I'm going to try this.
I'm gonna give this a try. I had squash bugs decimate my pumpkin patch. I believe if this works for stinks it should work for squash bugs since they look about the same.
Needed this mid season
You're welcome Josh!
awesome👍thanks
I bought my 65 Nova wagon project car from a guy over your way. It had a few of those things in there. They sure do stink when you squish them. Not sure they liked the Michigan winter. Haven't seen any around in years.
Time to wax that ole Massey! lol
most interesting video ever
Thank you
Thanks for the great tips . Stink bugs are not much of a problem in my area . Lucky me . I do like the fact that the non toxic stuff kills all kinds of other bugs . Just wondering how do you heat your mobile home in the winter . Thanks .
Everything is toxic if you guzzle enough. If you drink enough water you'll die. Isopropyl alcohol is exceedingly toxic. DDT is far far less toxic to humans than isopropyl alcohol. I don't know where anyone gets this idea that something is "non-toxic" or maybe it's more like if you can't pronounce the chemical name for it and it sound scary it must be bad right? LOL
Bad this year!!! Hi, from Wilson co. NC!!!!!
OMG! I am freaking out because I find a few in the house (in R.I.) I hate bugs......I gently pick them up with toilet paper and flush! Also have tried ZEVO on window sills...Thank goodness it seems to work.....
this works...disrupts their ability to smell pheromones and they wont come back, just a light spray around the house does it
