In regards to the whole “lit candles in tombs” thing, I’m fairly certain there’s a book in game of a guy who managed to watch the draugr and realized that they’re the ones doing it.
Where are they getting the candles tho? They’ve been “dead” for presumably centuries. Were they buried with centuries worth of candles or are they making regular trips to the local candlemaker? What are they paying the candlemaker with? Grave goods would only last so long before they ran out. Are there draugr out there doing odd jobs for the candlemaker in return for a steady candle supply?
@erikhansen4346 Plenty of wild wax to be found from plants and insects. And the tombs have lots of cloth for wicks. And plenty of regular folk leave offerings for the dead. But truly at the end of the day, just repeat to yourself it is just a game I should really just relax.
Zach's Hagraven obsession has made me realise he still hasn't done the "A Night to Remember" side quest yet. That's certainly going to be interesting. Also I didn't know you could have somone other than Farkas accompany you on that Companions quest.

The first time I saw a dark brotherhood assassin, they tried to attack me the same time a boihetha cultist tried and me and Kharjo watched them fight each other and when I got tired, fireballed them both to death- this for some reason (The reason was; I launched the assassin somewhere I couldn't find them.) sparked a series of bizarre events in which I constantly would get attacked by assassins but they'd get killed by a saber cat, or the companions defending their harbinger, sometimes a bandit and funnily a swooping dragon. I had to wonder what astrid thought "This man is a powerful mastermind!" and they just get killed by random happenstance. No wonder the dark brotherhood's on bad times, they suck.
The Silver Hand are heavily implied to be an offshoot of the Companions founded by former Companions who found out about the werewolf thing and didn't like it. There are things in the game files that further back this up. Including a combat dialogue line meant to trigger if you're a werewolf. "Ysgramor would be ashamed of you!" Anyway, that entire plotline was cut before release. Just like the Gunners being an offshoot of the Minutemen in Fallout 4. The Silver Hand are just bandits. The Gunners are just raiders. It's weird that this same problem has happened twice.
I've heard that theory about the Silver Sand being former companions from a few folks. Some claim there is cut content that supports this claim. But the Gunners one you mentioned is a new one.
Gunner being an offshoot of minutemen?! That’s mind blowing! And make sense for the lore. But instead they just make them straight up raider with no explanation.

The assassin was just out there minding his own business, performing contemporary dance and then along comes Zach and co to murder him, can’t an assassin contemporary dance in the wilderness without being killed.

It less being a werewolf stops kodlak from going into the nordic afterlife and more that it forces his soul to go to hircines realm instead. Its like if every irl god was real to a degree and your faith determined what afterlife you went to.
Mead is fraking awesome. Its the burn of alchohol with the sweetness of honey. Its got a really strong raspy feeling as you drink it and its not bitter and sad like beer. You can just drink it a swallow or sip at a time like wine, unlike whiskey which you have to take in shots.
You can sip or swallow whiskey if your used to drinking it enough, or if it's a flavored type like honey or green apple whiskey. Agreed on mead though, that stuff is pretty great. Gotta be careful though as you face the same problem with mixed drinks in that it can deceive you into thinking you're not as messed up as you really are.
NGL, the ONLY reason I become a werewolf in every playthrough is for the disease immunity, since I don't want to deal with the vampire drawbacks or play as an argonian.
Never liked Sofia, but she's one of the original custom voiced followers which I respect. However a recent follower I have come to adore is a Khajiit named Sa'chil. So Mike, look into Sa'chil or M'rissi, also Inigo has a quest that you guys haven't done, and Lucien interacts with Inigo and he has a quest too. So many followers and quests for each one. It'll never end.
I could be wrong but i think the companion quests differ depending on who you get them from. I remember doing allot of fist fighting for Farkas, Aela is known as a huntress so hunting makes sense? I guess,

Quite interesting to see the trial quest done with Aela. Haven't seen that before. I would recommend trying out the "Song of the Green" mod and see how you like Auri. Although, I think Anne might like her more than Zach. Also, I would like to see Zach's reaction to Taliesin.
There used to be a couple of collections that add it back in some of the cut content and gave the game a much needed stability, balance, and appearance overhaul. They're still usable but you have to make sure you're not running the latest version of skyrim.

I have neeeveer had aela be selected as my companion for this quest, I didn’t think you could have Aela. I always got vilkas as my shield brother for the quest.

I've stopped playing Skyrim years ago but all I remember is Farkas being the only one that ever did the quest with me so I'm wondering if it is a mod restoring cut content or if there was always a way for the other companions to switch between themselves for that quest.

As far as mercenary outfits go, let be real: the Companions aren’t very good. Killing wild animals, punching randos, and not accepting contracts from the biggest employers. Even if they refuse contracts from Ulfric or the Empire, the Jarls would have plenty of security work that would need doing in the middle of a civil war.
I have 2 questions for Zach specifically. 1. Having watched the start to your fallout 4 series again, do you ever look back at you shitting on a gun model/mod and feel regretful? you were that harsh as one of the old ones you were a tad harsh and I looked and it was a Pre mod kit weapon so it had to use vanilla animations and some models mish mashed. Then again I know your ADHD gun brain takes over and you have to point out inaccuries.. 2. Who adds the mods to the game and are you aware of it? I ask because there are a few mods that I know of that are British made weapon like the L96A1 and SA80 and would love you to encounter them and give your opinion on them as I know you may not have directly held and used them in your experience. Also if Mike adds the mods, are you unaware and ate suprised or does he give you some hints on what to expect? Regardless keep up the great content the disastrous duo! Sophia doesn't really bother me. Not sure if it's the fact that I know she doesn't mean half of what she says, or if it's because I stopped letting degens bother me. I could see myself exploring with her and seeing what quests she's got.

It's kinda worse that she doesn't mean it, because I'd rather someone like that just... shut up. I'd have more respect if she actually played the whole sexy sex lady fully, instead of pussyfooting it and backing down after every single line she says.
She's not my cup of tea either, but to be fair Sofia is one of the first voiced companions that was added to Skyrim. Modders have come a long way since 2012 in terms of both tech and writing for companions.

It is absolutely modded in. Farkas literally uses the spiders you fight as a reason not to join you in the final fight.

She's not my cup of tea either, but to be fair Sofia is one of the first voiced companions that was added to Skyrim. Modders have come a long way since 2012 in terms of both tech and writing for companions.
