The Athry's Embrace gauntlets were always fun, but with Solar 3.0 they have become even better. With the perfect selection of Aspects and Fragments you can consistently 1 hit to the body from some of the craziest angles. If you first person with the perk activated the armor opens up like a beetle , also helps to hit the ground then wall, the 2nd bounce gives it massive velocity
This thing is one of my favourite exotics. I pair it with a submission with perpetual motion and swashbuckler to get radiant and swash x5

i never thought about this exotic 🤔 but yes i got a submission with swash as well and i use sixth coyote and gamblers to get knife back as well as proc classy restoration. LOVE shredding the next poor soul who jumps in front of my twirling can opener with x5 swash! 😆
I was thinking submission. Or my biting winds with swash. Plus bxr with blunt execution. Double weapon buff with knife kills. Hmmm

One of the most underrated exotics in the game and definitely my all time favourite hunter exotic, haven't taken them off since they released

What are some tips in both pvp and PvE when using them?
@@corymccarty3921 for PvE they stun unstoppable champions and if u stack Strengthened Heavy Throwing Knife (the perk for hitting consecutive headshots on the gauntlets) with One Two Punch from a shotgun it can absolutely devastating
For PvP, right angles are your friend, make sure it hits the ground first then hits the wall, it will give it increased speed and some tracking aswell, on some maps it's almost a guaranteed kill every time of u hit some headshots first. I personally pair it with the Battler cause it gives me the Strengthened Heavy Throwing Knife perk after just one burst

I adore the Athrys's Embrace so much. I actually didn't get much use out of Stompees as a Hunter because I mained Pulse Rifle/Athrys's. It's like my favorite Hunter Exotic.

Hi Jake I’ve been using this exotic in Trials vs highly skilled players and I can say it definitely merits it’s exotic slot. The pick potential similar to a sniper pick is invaluable. The fact that you just picked it up and looked for geometry similar to me l who has been using it since it’s release and now integrated it into my play style you have my respects love the video
adaptive pulses synergize well with this, the radiant buff allows them to 2-burst guardians.

Absolutely banana plays, now imagine if titans had something for the throwing hammer other than worm god or synthos for damage or range, but something that made it bounce like crazy

welp, this is the vid that's finally convinced me to grab these once arms are up next
I paired this with my multimach beloved combo, been loving it
I am glad this exotic is getting love. It's stupid good and with solar 3.0 it's even better. It's one of the more slept on exotics. Oh also you don't have to land precision shots before hand to get the tracking and bounce the enhanced thing is just damage. At least I'm pretty sure that's the case.
The perk makes the second bounce faster tho it doesn’t state it

Why when the knives itself have a huge magnetism when it lands on people….
I had this thought the other day as well. Kill trackers on exotic armor should 100% be a thing. Like cuirass of the falling star tracks thundercrash kills and arthrys embrace tracks knife kills

that's a great idea actually like if you use heart of inmost light it tells you your total ability kills or with converse holds it tracks grenade kills, dude send bungie an email about this

Game 1 made me think this was unstoppable but the rest of the games made me feel much more comfortable with its power

I love this exotic and i have literally never died to it before, it's nice to see my baby get some recognition :)
Athry’s is viable on any primary weapon type but bow, you only need 3 headshots for the perk to proc, so handcannons and scouts still work great with it! Just need a kill instead of a stream of bullets.
A great weapon to try it on is a crafted Drang with Well Rounded and Swashbuckler.
Trinity Ghoul works for this
Use ahamkaras spine with 100 discipline next! I’m going to love this gas or pass series
I used something similar with by bow loadout.
Got me flawless twice.
Whatever my bow wont kill, my knife will hunt it down behind most cover.

Did they nerf this ? Tried it the other day and the knife wouldn’t track anything when pricked even when bouncing 2x
My favorite gun to use with this build is crimson cause it has the range of a handcannon it feels great on controller and it shoots in bursts
I had no idea the tracking was so good on those second bounces. I was wondering why anyone would ever use them otherwise 😂

These arms carried me to lighthouse 2weeks ago lol paired with Outbreak
5:55 power level is enabled during Trials of Osiris. Hardly makes a difference, but aggressive frame snipers against low resilience guardians that are decently under leveled (compared to u) can one shot to the body. It’s surprising asf when it happens lol
They normally do 158 to the body so they can still one hit 0 resilience guardians with a damage buff in regular crucible i think, so any power level difference causing you to deal anything more than 15% more damage will one hit body low resilience, or high resilience if the lvl difference is high enough

I’ve always wanted to use a “build” for these exotics but now with solar I get my knife back more often
I was in control and died after throwing an athrys knife, that thing deadass ignored gravity (it was heading straight down and someone went near it, it STOPPED FALLING, AND LITERALLY FOLLOWED THE DUDE to shank his legs)
I was using this to mess around with some friends, I used monte carlo with it and it was kinda broken ngl
It took months to finally get that exotic. Been trying for it FOREVER

This maps floor is very weird. I had a bunch of times I'd throw the knife at the ground and it wouldn't bounce because the floor is just coded weird. It's like when witherhoard bounces on certain floors.
These arms paired with Hawkmoon shit out soooo many 1-hit kills

seeing more and more videos of Athrys’s embrace makes me sad knowing that bungie will probably nerf it if more people find out how BUSTED it is
I think there is a queue before they get to athrys... I use hoarfrost-z and have similar feeling but still there are other busted things that are faaaar worse. 3x omni void hunters are still snoozefest.

Question. Why does a throwing knife one hit kill while a hammer strike/throwing hammer do not?
Because you need a variety of things to happen for a onehit knife kill. + With hammer you can just pick it up afterwards.
Plus the ability to switch to a one-shot, brain dead "press button and enemy dies" shoulder bash
And how now play versus hunts without cheats?

See the tracking works for everyone but even when i double bounce it off walls it still hits nothing. I have to actually hit the gaurdian with the damage buff to kill them instead of just aimlessly thros it and let it track
Getting a kill with ember of torches refunds your melee, regardless of headshot.
Also if you want three head shots, use pulses or crimson

no jake you got shot in the open and your momentum moved the res ghost behind the wall.
That's not how that works bucko. He was behind a wall on his screen but in the open on the enemies screen. Your ghost doesn't move with momentum it drops wherever you were killed (in rare circumstances there's weird glitches like dying in the air and such)
