- The king of retro classic bikes in India in the 350cc segment - Royal Enfield Classic 350 finally gets a worthy rival in the form of the Benelli Imperiale 400 (after Jawa's struggle to deliver bikes). We recently pitted the BS6 versions of the two classics against each other to find out which one is a better offering and delivers more bang for your buck. Pradeep Shah and Lijo Mathai spent an entire day with the said bikes to answer some key questions!

Royal Enfield is okay in mountain and hilly area. No normal rider on their right mind would exceed 60-70 speed on hilly road.

Quality always Wins
Though there is less Dealership network ....but Imperiale is a Quality Motorcycle.
Benelli is best but unfortunately it lacks tubeless tyre and LED lights.
I checked out Imperiale at one of the dealerships in Bengaluru.... Costs 2,89,135/- on-road here.... That's just way too much for this bike.
yeah real cost not much different but tax plays a role here that's why companies like these are not gona established and provide good engine technology

Hello Sir, I am from Karnataka State. I need a suggestion please. Actually i have a plan to buy a new bike in 350cc or 400cc bike for DIWALI festival. So i have made a filter and i kept THREE bikes in my mind.

I'm going for quality over quantity, imperiale is way better than classic 350.
One of the main usp of re classic is it looks. Theres a reason the manufacturers have sticked to the same design since decades because they don't want to risk. Benelli and even honda hness designs look bland and nothing special. I don't think these will give any competition to the classic.
@@rahulassctCnsltnt i dont think benelli has any issues of dealership because benelli 600i is very popular in India. Probably the most popular sports bike in 600cc. If people are interested ofcourse they would be ready increase the supply unlike imperile which is not really that liked

I have ridden RE Classic (BSIV 2018 model) 300 kms continuously. During this ride I was also got stuck in traffic for about 35 minutes and didn't stop my bike engine due to problem in self start. I check my bike Mileage is 45+. I don't know on what path you rode this bike.
I own bs 6 .. mileage is 25-30 kmpl in city and 30-32 on highways .. before you say it depends upon the rider , I'm a well seasoned rider , 10yrs+ experience .. and yes you can research about the Classic 350 bs6 mileage .. it's very much less compared to bs3 and bs4 ... My uncle's bs4 gives 40+
Some riders put their finger on clutch while riding, some using brakes instead of slow down the accelerator and someone speed up their bike very quick.
These three points damage the engine and their performance
Old wines in new colored bottles. This channel would have done better with sound editing of both reveiwers , one is hardly audible while the other is uncomfortably loud in the same volume

Benelli is better Royal having vibration issues it's a big deal for me at least
i drove both imeriale and the classic from (2022). let me tell you the classic from 2022 has way less vibrations than the imeriale !!! it is so much better that you cant even compare it anymore. i own a classic but drove the imperiale just yesterday when my classic was in for an oil change....that was the first thing i noticed again....the imperiale has so much more vibrations going on.

i drove both. the classic from 2022 is so much better than the imeriale. less vibration, handling, comfort, build quality. where i live the clasic is 25% more expsensiv then the imperiale but its worth it. it so much better. i drove the imeriale yesterday when my classic was in for oil change and inspection....yo ucant compare those two bikes. the classic is so much better in nearly every category. i dont know how the imperiale compares to older models of the classic...but compared to the classic 350 from 2022 the imperiale is crap

for me the imperiale is not the best. i drove both and the quality is not even comapreable. the classic is so far ahead. if you like the looks of the imeriale more than the classic....go for it. its cheaper anyways.

I am going to buy Benelli Imperiale 400 and I want to tell all you guys whether you belong to Benelli/ RE/Jawa/Yezdi club. Each of these have their advantages, quirks, tantrums and flaws. These bikes are generally bought by niche customers with a liking for a particular brand and model. I have deliberated over the these models and all I can say is that just go with the brand and model you feel for in the heart. These comparisons are good and informative but in the end its your mental satisfaction and your money. If you do not get the mental satisfaction, then there is no value for the money spent. I have seen a lot RE/Benelli comparison reviews, most of them tilt positively towards RE but I am buying Benelli, because I know it creates flutters in my heart when I see it and somehow I think it suits my personality.

RE CLASSIC BSIV gives extra comfortable to riders as it has spring under seat. I agree with you that after 80 KM/H it vibrates. But it is sufficient for Indian road.

i just dont understand what they are talking about vibrations n all. i have thunderbird 350 and only above 95 kmph , I feel vibrations. abe itni hi vibrations ka problem hai to electric bike Chalo. kuch bhi baat pe rote hai . and i am not RE fanboy i have problems with that but not the main character of the RE bike sound and feel.

RE350 have engine heat issue. This bike is pain to ride like we riding a tractor.

Europeans bikes are kN9wn to cost more in long run . Imperialia is too heavy for regular commute in ever increasing trafic . Bullet is synchronous with Indian roads for longest period of time. Though with vibes and nit so good performance people just love RE products . Honda managed to po ht highness in right place .

I have RE Classic 2018 model and it gives 45+ mileage on highway by continuously driving with speed of 75 KMH.
I don't know y people bought royal Enfield bikes, no quality, no speed, excess weight, low mileage , unnecessary loud noise, etc

i drove the 350 classic (from 2022) and the imperiale 400....let me tell you the imperiale feel so cheap compared to the classic 350! virations are way way worse on the imperiale. on the classic 350 you cant feel nearly no vibrations also the stock seats cant be compared. the enfields seat is so much better. the only thing that is better on the imperiale is the front break. even the classic feels beter while breaking because of the better subspension of the classic or the high weight of the imeriale. i am not sure. the classic is more expensiv but its worth it !!!
