0:40 Volteer "Save them. The dark armies have come." In New Beginning, I loved character the most. He was the gentlest and the smartest of the Dragon Guardians. Yet very talking and well spoken, he didn't have much dialogue in the trilogy, but I feel like they could've done a lot more with him. He was genuinely scared about the safety of the eggs and when he first met Spyro, he was amazed, how one existed. He even greeted Sparx. While the other three guardians, Ignitus, Cyril and Terrador may have been hard on Spyro, Volteer was always thoughtful of him.
In The Eternal Night, he said "It was only a matter of time. We've all felt it. The great evil is on the horizon." Ignitus questioned his judgement, however Volteer was right about that aswell. He had only one line in Dawn of The Dragon "Hold on. I'll get you out of there." While not necessarily a father figure to Spyro, Volteer should've been the leader. He was able to make tough calls and knew, what was going to happen, long before it had even happened. Loved the Electricity element and it's my favorite in The Legend of Spyro trilogy. ⚡

Oh wow! I remember this game and I remember how I beat it for the first time using my FAVORITE element, Earth, which I had upgraded to its most powerful form and was the ONLY element I had used, even when I beat the game AGAIN with it. I LOVED the voice cast and I recognized them instantly: Elijah Wood {Happy Feet, Happy Feet 2 as Mumble}, David Spade, Gary Oldman and Kevin Michael Richardson {Family Guy, Jerome}, including my FAVORITE actress, Cree Summer, who was the voice of Cynder in here who was also the voice of MANY characters, like Numbuh 5, Suzie from All Grown Up/Rugrats and Valerie from the Danny Phantom series! Good times. And I remember hearing Ignitus' voice when I fought Cynder: Now's the time to UNLEASH the TRUE Dragon within you. That line STILL gives me chills!
Every now and then I come back to this video cuz this series had such am impact on me its comforting to watch glad to see i dont gotta boot up my ps2 to see these cutscenes whenever

God I haven’t seen this since like 2005, I want to say. I think the first time I saw it was in a game kiosk in a McDonald’s next to Sonic Heroes, which is pretty funny to think about. The first level in the forest leading to the little temple and that battle theme stuck with me all this time, but I never actually beat the game (as was the case with most games I had as a kid). Thanks for putting this up, it brought a lot back.
Edit: Actually I guess the temple wasn’t part of the first level, it really has been a while lol.

I don't know. This constant yapping here is in some ways even more annoying. At least the buzzing fit the character better. Sparx never should have talked but I think he was best as an almost fully silent character like in the 1st game.

Hard not to like David Spade though so that is understandable. I just prefer Sparx in the first game when he was pretty much always silent. There was very little buzzing too. He wasn't annoying and he didn't talk too much. He was there to serve his main purpose and that was all.

Y’know I might get this game for Xbox when I get the chance. Idc about the negative! I just want to see the funny stuff and epic stuffs as well. Including the story.
The big red dragon that Spyro first encounters, this red guy mentions war, and that they lost. And suddenly he expects ONE dragon to fix EVERYONE'S problems!? This stereotypical storyline of "I'll do it myself! Yeah, I'm enough! I can save the day ALONE!" is not realistic. It's egotistical in a way that doesn't even promote teamwork.
The red dragon feels like some villain wanting to feed off of Spyro's immaturity. And his friend Sparx can't make a suggestion other than "Let's leave and forget about it! War will never find us if we just go back to the flowers and fun stuff!".
That's not how this works.

Well you see, canonically in THIS Spyro universe, it truly is p*nis in vajayjay. Unlike the classic games, where it's just fairies bringing in eggs stork-style.
What REALLY needs to be explained is where exactly are the female dragons at in these games.

I never understood why the animation goes from cinematic in the intro, back to regular cutscenes and then back cinematic again after you beat the locomotive?
It may have to do with the fact that these games were originally supposed to be movies, hence the cinematic look and way of storytelling.
