UP and Bihar can become good centers for low cost manufacturing. The most important thing is good rail and road infra to connect them ports; consistent power supply and low cost of capital. Hopefully they can see some good growth in next two decades as they are good hardworking people.

MSMEs sector in Bihar is growing silently…last yr this state has won awards. Thanks to the inflow of easy loans from central and state govt. many entrepreneurs r doing..textile, mushrooms plantation, fishery, vegetables, or agri processing unit, etc.
Government of India and Bihar Government should open Indian Leather Institute or University and related institutions or may be CSIR institute near Hajipur and ask these companies to collaborate with the institutes , it will be a game changer move for Bihar nearby states and whole Country.
FDI is already there in Hajipur

They still need a bunch of goras to setup their companies in Bihar and order them around to manufacture goods the way they want them. This would be worth reporting when there are actual Indian brands and companies selling made in India shoes in European and Russian markets under Indian brand names. Until then, this isn't Bihar's footwear industry but simply sweatshops for cheap labor for foreign companies.
Atleast people are getting jobs in own state....they have to move to other states to work away from family.....hope things will change

Bro, Bihar had many industries till 1980.
But, after that, politicians ruined Bihar, Just like what they did in Bengal.
When, India opened its Economy during globalization in 1992, then at that time there were the worst politicians in Bihar that time, they didn't invite & created chances for setting up industries here, in fact they shut down many previous industries.
Also, FREIGHT EQUALIZATION POLICY played a major role in growth of west India like GUJRAT & MAHARASHTRA & downfall of Bihar, as they looted our Coals & provided those minerals to those states.
