Consistent loud noises came through to our brains as white noise, white noise is what we technically ear when we were in the womb. So yeah, its is scientifically proven that "white noise" in this case heavy metal can be calming and is actually calming to the lovers of heavy metal. I've heard stories from people that when white noise machines weren't available for babies they would use the satin from a tv or a hairdryer or a mixer to calm babies down. My mother actually destroyed 4 hair dryers trying to put to sleep my baby self. Only if she had some metal hahaha

Just recently when my mom was going through some old stuff in the apartment where I grew up, she found an old VHS tape with home videos. A few of them were of me enjoying Rock and Metal music. The best one in my opinion was when she randomly went into the living room to check on like 2 years old me, only to see me pick up an empty plastic water bottle and start slamming it against the table to the rhythm of Black Sabbath's Iron Man (which was not even playing) and in the little kid voice yelling the melody. Fast forward to when I was 7-8 years old and I asked mom to get me a CD from the music store just because I liked the cover pic. She actually ended up giving me the CD for my 8th birthday. It was Swedish Blackened Folk Metal (Månegarm) and I absolutely fell in love with it the second I heard it. Well, I guess I was just born for Metal music.

Ever since I was a kid, pop music has irritated me to the point of throwing things. Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, some ACDC helped calm me. Then I discovered other things like Rammstein in the early 90s and I can fall asleep to that easily. When I am frustrated, I run some 'Ich Tu Dir Weh' or 'Ich Will' through the sound system, its rolling in my shop right now while I take a break.
The only music that isn't like those that doesn't irritate me, is Pink Floyd, though not all of it.
Whatever it was that was on that phone in this video, is not something that works for me.

@@SweatyFatGuy Same here, Pop music (and rap) was always something I absolutely hated. It could never satisfy my musical needs - it's just too simple and, well, dumb. I need actual music played on real instruments. And while there are definitely some songs with a slight electronic influence (though still Metal) that I like, I still can't listem to them for too long.
Rammstein is an amazing band, been listening to them for ages, in fact they were one of the bands I grew up listening to. Favorite songs, apart from the well known older classics from them, are probably Bückstabü and Zick Zack.

    • @SweatyFatGuy

@@vozmajster1011 I like those two, not many of theirs I don't like. Most people only know about Du Hast, that one is ok but they have better ones. Their stuff is not for everyone, most people like the whiney complaints about love and whatnot.
Reading reviews of Radio is funny because its obviously about censorship, particularly in East Germany where the band grew up behind the wall. The media is enamored with that ideology, so they dance around calling it what it is in the video. Can't speak ill of it, not here on CZcams either.
The ones I don't like are the slow songs, its great workout music otherwise, and good for road trips.
