" Because more people focus on doing quest" Did you know there's a quest that tells you to upgrade gear? You can't progress unless you complete it. So in other words, this is something you literally cannot miss. Stop making excuses for stupidity.
1.) When upgrading artifacts, focus on having one character as your main dps (I used MC). 2.) Focus as much as you can with atk, crit dmg and crit rate. 3.) Upgrade said artifacts to at least lvl 8 until you get a 4 or 5 start version. 4.) *DON’T FORGET TO UPGRADE TALENTS* 5.) Elemental reactions do the biggest damage.

I'm not sure if I main anyone. That's making me difficult to focus on which character to upgrade. But I think I'll upgrade my Amber bcs I like attacking from a far. Edit: I think I want to main Yanfei. She is the strongest character I have for now. :D
Personally, I'm leveling up other characters because different bosses require different weapon types, characters, and strategies. For example, when fighting the Oceanid, I swap Klee out with Yanfei because the latter can attack those annoying birds that go swoopy swoop on you. Klee can't because she's just mid-range and she throws bombs, not actual spells that home in on the enemy. And my only bow user is Amber and I'm not really bothering with her. When fighting the Pyro Regisvine, I swap Xingqiu out with Barbara because she breaks the core better than he does imo, since she's a catalyst user so she can also reach the core when it's on the corolla. That way, I can defeat that goddamned flower easier and faster. Tl;dr: Level up a few other characters too, so that when the situation calls for it, you have others you can swap with to make stuff easier for you.
Same. I used to max out my MC everytime I have the chance since she's the one I could use best. Then I got Bennet, had to max him out too for the ascension rank (I can't play Amber). And now Kazuha. The thing is, you can only focus in one character if you've got the best characters and the one that you actually want. And now I can't ascend Kazuha because I defeat the Magu Kenki.

@@bricmong1942 Other than ley lines and selling artifacts you can do the mora expeditions which at best is 5000 mora in 20h or 208.33/h however you can use a character like fischl that reduces it by 25% making it 333.33/h it isn't a whole lot but it's pretty nice if you don't need anything from the other expeditions or if you have extra slots you aren't using
I think the most important part to take away from this is from the beginning: Don't be afraid to upgrade, you can recycle it for the next bit without a too big loss.
@@caplevi6537 no. Those are randomly generated things. You have to get a "good roll" as they put it. This is beyond your control so you have to grind to get those. Luck really. Recycling only helps level stuff up faster.
@@caplevi6537 Basically, if you turn 2 one star weapons into material and use it to upgrade a two star weapon, then use the two star weapon to upgrade a three star item, the three star items receives the exp of the 2 one star weapons as well, along with the two star weapon.

Basically, 1. Choose which artifacts are best for the characters and upgrade them. 2. Level up your talents 3. Choose which weapons is the best for the characters then Upgrade them 4. Take advantage of the elemental reactions (melt, vaporize, superconduct, overload) Bonus tip: at an early level, start farming for ascension materials and talent books. Hope i helped someone. :>
My tips for beggining players!: -try to get a lots of crit rate/crit dmg. I prefer to have at least 40% crit rate, 100 %crit dmg (don't worry too much abt this stats at low ar, later they will be important though) - use the right element cup on your character (pyro character- pyro dmg bonus cup), or physical dmg bonus if you build them like that. -Try to get to know characters best main stats for artifacts (example: Qiqi has more healing from her atk) - if you don't have right substats for particular set, use some other, neutral set with good substats (til you get better artifacts) -Elemental reactions help a lot! Try to use: -pyro+cryo or hydro -hydro+ electro or pyro OR cryo (for freeze) -electro+ pyro or cryo
Actually yeah, these will be good for this AR, although when you lv up a bit and you will have bigger choice, you would like to switch some artifacts- ex. Crit rate/crit dmg on hat, element on cup. It will be a long way til you get 5* artifacts, but you can start to care abt 3*, 4* artifacts so you can go through content smoothly.

Sameeee I'm stuck rn on my account because I love to explore and just relax and take my time with the story.. but I got to adventure rank 55 and my world level raised and now enemies are levels 91 and 90 and I'm stuck at 70 lol so I am having a super hard time with bosses or really doing anything 😭

A tip for begginers is focus on MC. They're really good for fighting as Anemo at the begining, later on dendro is going to be more useful when you have more other characters to support that. Geo is the best for exploration in Liyue because you need it to access some of the geocolous. So focus on building your Anemo mc at the beginning! It's going to be worth it!
@@coral5523 yes Mc is good for early game but later on they are owerpowered by other characters I think it's best like this - Ar1-Ar20 anemo traveler - Ar20-Ar25geo traveler - Ar25-30electro traveler - and from then on dendro is good your most likely gonna get a 5 star at ar 35 if from standard banner then diluc for burgeon team or overload and if Mona then a hyperbloom or just any team then needs a buff and if qiqi then superconduct team and if Jean then any team with elements that anemo can swirl with work and she's a very good healer and if tighnari then hyperbloom if you have Raiden or yae miko then use them on the team and use a hydro character if you don't have yae miko or Raiden use fischl or kuki Shinobu if you don't have either of those you electro traveler

To put this simple for everyone reading the comments 1: Get artifacts and use those to experiment with sets such as adventurer, berserker, Travelling doctor ects. 2: Keep upgrading the artifacts used in your set or should I say, Build, So you can get better results and attempt to get more better artifacts for better set and builds 3: Make sure you know the description and stats of each of your party members so you can maximize your build for them, Though it's optional but it's recommended to give out the best results for your party members 4: Weapons is somewhat optional but encouraged, It's a important part since that's a big part of your damage is coming from. Though if you only want damage thats enough to kill any weapon should suffice As for my personal preference, Don't get overwhelmed too much by building your character, Start small with simple weapons and simple sets such as adventurer and berserker, Building is rather simple once you get the hang of it. It's just very exaggerated due to modern terminologies of seasoned players.

I just started playing genshin impact last week and then I got Jean on my first wish. I really want to main her before I play genshin. My AR is 26 and my Jean is already level 50. Her base attack is 856, hp is 15.9k and she does 2.8k-3k damage. I also upgraded the prototype rancour for her to level 50. I watch your videos and I follow your tips. I level up all of my artifacts on my main and to the other characters that I always use for fighting bosses. The earlier you focus on artifacts, the better you will do on the end game. @@min_anigiri you get new characters by wishing! You need things called ‘fate’ in order to wish, you can use primogems as a substitute though. You get the wish feature by progressing through the game. You might already have it and never realize it, that’s what happened to me, but if you’re new, you most likely haven’t got it yet.

It's so obvious but you'd be surprised how often people dont upgrade their stuff. I visit random peoples worlds a lot in co op for fun and every single one of them have been very weak for their level. It's painfully obvious they dont upgrade thejr stuff. Every single time. For example, there are many lvl 20-25s only doing like 70 dmg when they should be doing like 700 instead. Pretty painful to watch

Well people like to completely neglect the artifact leveling/cant tactically level their stuff for shit (im people 😔) so this is a good reminder + slight guide
Less about levelling and upgrading, so much as; Stack properly for what you want. Surprisingly something a lot of players likely won't consider immediately. More specifically, too young to have played classic RPGs.
1. Level your artifacts 2. Level up your talents 3. Level up your characters 4. Level up your weapon 5. Give your characters weapons and artifacts according to their element and how you wanna build them 6. Use character elemental and e skills for buffs 7. Try using a team with elements compatiable with each other like electro+cryo, pyro+cryo etc etc 8. Use four piece or two piece artfact sets for bonus atack like blizzard slayer 2 piece gives 15+ more cryo damage.

i was the same but u can get barbara and xiangling for free in the event section, not to forget if you do some wishes you will probably get some other characters too, during 1 day i went from the standard 4 to having like 8 from wishes and the free ones too
@@reisates5047 same I got childe, kequing, rosaria, Bennet, Noelle, sucrose, brarbara, xiangling, all FREE of cost. I never spent a dime. Save primos and take risk you will get characters for sure👍🏾❤️
Small tip: DON'T NEGLECT ARTIFACT MERCHANTS. Every city has a merchant who sells cheap worthless artifacts. In most cases you wouldn't bat an eye. But that's free xp every day and they cost little to nothing. So stock up and stack em up
I went to slowly upgrading my character until I hit AR 25 to start my character build and had 3 mil and capped myself from going below 1 mil unless if necessary. Also try to go with one type of armor set on your character to get bonus stats for max potential
TLDR: firstly, focus on one character to carry you. level the shit out of ur blue and purple artifacts early on, choose weapons with damage buffs even if they have lower attack than other weapons. When you reach adventure rank 25 and ascend to ascension 2, level the shit out of ur basic attacks. Focus on leveling 1 character to carry you
I think the difficulty is not to go from 100 damage to 500 damage, but from 1000 damage to 20000 damage. How the hell do some people's Xiao deal 50000 damage while my maxed out xiao only do around 20000?
Prolly cuz of better crit ratio/ artifacts stats/ other characters buffing their xiao (like bennett)/ better weapons/ more constellations/ more higher talents level. Any of these could be the case really! :3

Remember to only level artifacts on one character, when they're all maxed start gearing a second character. Otherwise, you're gonna run out of resources fast.

Quick note about something at the end: elemental mastery only increases damage dealt by elemental reactions, not the elemental abilities themselves. EM is useful for reaction characters like burst or enablers, definetly not the main DPS. I guess you know it already but since its said in a really vague way in the video people may think that EM increases elemental damage. Edit: im not the best one to ask for knowledge, i just know how certain mechanics work. If you have questions about teamcomps, character building and such, i'd suggest to ask people who actualy know.
@YUNHONLY exactly, you'd prefer EM on elemental suppor characters like Fischl or Kaeya, characters that you only put them in the field to cast an ability and then go back to your main DPS (this is all with the efficient/meta team-comps and playstyles in mind, no one would force you to play in a certain way)
@@2oe.9 elemental reactions is what happens when an enemy is affected by an element and you affect it with a different element, that causes an effect depending on the elements involved. Lets say you proc electro on an enemy and then proc pyro on them, that creates overload which dealr AoE pyro damage, elemental mastery increases the damage of said reaction, npt the initial elemental damage dealt.

i feel like you can explain these kinds of things very well for new players because i started like 3 days ago and i am having some trouble with artifacts and dmg but i feel that this video is going to help me :)
That's a cute combo, but Bennet is the one I combo with. Heal? Yes. Apply aoe pyro? Yes. +80% attack boost? Yes. My Fiscl will crit 3k-4k while Oz crits another 4-5k overload damage simultaneously. Also got +Pyro on Bennett's goblet and fully upgraded his talent. He crits 5k+ himself. Huge burst. Working on Raiden Shogun (new girl) to make the combo even more wonky. The more you burst, the more resolve she gets. The more resolve, the more her burst charges up. On top of that, her elemental skill boosts burst dmg for your team. With Fiscl and Bennet constantly spamming, every minute or so Raiden gets to do her 200% burst INSIDE OF Bennets +80% boost. I only have Raiden at level 5 (training her passively) with unupgraded gear but playing with the combo she's still hitting 2k easy.
I just wanted to say thank you, I know this video is three years old so you probably won't see this but I've been quest stuck because I was to weak to defeat a boss and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get stronger and I decided youtube w as the option and this was the second video I watched and the most helpful. I have since beaten said boss and more or less times my damage by probably 7 or 8. This is the best way anyone could explain this and I appreciate it.
This has been the most useful tutorial ive ever recieved on youtube. despite being made about more than 1 year ago, Ive been able to incresae my charged attacks form 250 to 5000 in a few months. I doubt it at first, but I credit you because of my damage boost
Chongyun's elemental skill increases attack speed by 8% I want to get the artifact set that reduces your stamina cost to 0 for 10 seconds after killing an enemy and increases charged attack damage by 50% With his charged spin that never runs out. It's going to be NUTTY.
im looking to do that with noelle, since her elemental ability also heals the party with every other hit. it also fun that she uses def as a complement to damage, so you can build atk + def, and you will have a tank, healer, damage and support all rolled into one.

This actually helped me realize what I’m doing wrong. I’ve always been trying to “save” my artifact level up thingys, but I didn’t realize that they give the same exp it took to level them to a certain level when leveling other artifacts. I will definately do this with xiangling.
I'm so glad I learned how to make artifact sets. Before (under ar 30) I only did 2 digit damage but now (ar 50) I deal 8k to 70k damage. Thank you so much Mtashed for making this video.
Lolol if ur less than ar 35 don't waste ur money with upgrading 3 or 4 star artifact u get lot of them just by talking to people in game (side characters)I'm ar 53 almost 54 I play this game for 3 months (less or more) I have few 5 star characters u can easily get them tbh, try don't waste ur primo and don't use fragile resin at all until ar 45 ,I can help u with game, Goodluck

4. Take advantage of the elemental reactions (melt, vaporize, superconduct, overload)
Bonus tip: at an early level, start farming for ascension materials and talent books.

My tips for beggining players!:
-try to get a lots of crit rate/crit dmg. I prefer to have at least 40% crit rate, 100 %crit dmg (don't worry too much abt this stats at low ar, later they will be important though)
- use the right element cup on your character (pyro character- pyro dmg bonus cup), or physical dmg bonus if you build them like that.
-Try to get to know characters best main stats for artifacts (example: Qiqi has more healing from her atk)
- if you don't have right substats for particular set, use some other, neutral set with good substats (til you get better artifacts)
-Elemental reactions help a lot! Try to use:
-pyro+cryo or hydro
-hydro+ electro or pyro OR cryo (for freeze)
-electro+ pyro or cryo
Honestly I think it’s better to just go full atk early game I’m at ar 13 and that works golden for me
Actually yeah, these will be good for this AR, although when you lv up a bit and you will have bigger choice, you would like to switch some artifacts- ex. Crit rate/crit dmg on hat, element on cup. It will be a long way til you get 5* artifacts, but you can start to care abt 3*, 4* artifacts so you can go through content smoothly.

Another thing, weak spot hits always count as crits, so if you do a ton of manual aiming, don't bother with improving crit rate.

A tip for begginers is focus on MC. They're really good for fighting as Anemo at the begining, later on dendro is going to be more useful when you have more other characters to support that. Geo is the best for exploration in Liyue because you need it to access some of the geocolous.
So focus on building your Anemo mc at the beginning! It's going to be worth it!

@@coral5523 yes Mc is good for early game but later on they are owerpowered by other characters I think it's best like this - Ar1-Ar20 anemo traveler - Ar20-Ar25geo traveler - Ar25-30electro traveler - and from then on dendro is good your most likely gonna get a 5 star at ar 35 if from standard banner then diluc for burgeon team or overload and if Mona then a hyperbloom or just any team then needs a buff and if qiqi then superconduct team and if Jean then any team with elements that anemo can swirl with work and she's a very good healer and if tighnari then hyperbloom if you have Raiden or yae miko then use them on the team and use a hydro character if you don't have yae miko or Raiden use fischl or kuki Shinobu if you don't have either of those you electro traveler

To put this simple for everyone reading the comments
1: Get artifacts and use those to experiment with sets such as adventurer, berserker, Travelling doctor ects.
2: Keep upgrading the artifacts used in your set or should I say, Build, So you can get better results and attempt to get more better artifacts for better set and builds
3: Make sure you know the description and stats of each of your party members so you can maximize your build for them, Though it's optional but it's recommended to give out the best results for your party members
4: Weapons is somewhat optional but encouraged, It's a important part since that's a big part of your damage is coming from. Though if you only want damage thats enough to kill any weapon should suffice
As for my personal preference, Don't get overwhelmed too much by building your character, Start small with simple weapons and simple sets such as adventurer and berserker, Building is rather simple once you get the hang of it. It's just very exaggerated due to modern terminologies of seasoned players.

I just started playing genshin impact last week and then I got Jean on my first wish. I really want to main her before I play genshin. My AR is 26 and my Jean is already level 50. Her base attack is 856, hp is 15.9k and she does 2.8k-3k damage. I also upgraded the prototype rancour for her to level 50. I watch your videos and I follow your tips. I level up all of my artifacts on my main and to the other characters that I always use for fighting bosses. The earlier you focus on artifacts, the better you will do on the end game. While jean is not a good main dps if you get her early game you could potentially use her until around ar 40 or when you get better characters.

@@min_anigiri you get new characters by wishing! You need things called ‘fate’ in order to wish, you can use primogems as a substitute though. You get the wish feature by progressing through the game. You might already have it and never realize it, that’s what happened to me, but if you’re new, you most likely haven’t got it yet.

I visit random peoples worlds a lot in co op for fun and every single one of them have been very weak for their level. It's painfully obvious they dont upgrade thejr stuff. Every single time. For example, there are many lvl 20-25s only doing like 70 dmg when they should be doing like 700 instead. Pretty painful to watch

Surprisingly something a lot of players likely won't consider immediately. More specifically, too young to have played classic RPGs.
1. Level your artifacts
2. Level up your talents
3. Level up your characters
4. Level up your weapon
5. Give your characters weapons and artifacts according to their element and how you wanna build them
6. Use character elemental and e skills for buffs
7. Try using a team with elements compatiable with each other like electro+cryo, pyro+cryo etc etc
8. Use four piece or two piece artfact sets for bonus atack like blizzard slayer 2 piece gives 15+ more cryo damage.

Small tip: DON'T NEGLECT ARTIFACT MERCHANTS. Every city has a merchant who sells cheap worthless artifacts. In most cases you wouldn't bat an eye. But that's free xp every day and they cost little to nothing. So stock up and stack em up

i went from having 300k mora to 50k in a day cause i was tryna upgrade my things
I went to slowly upgrading my character until I hit AR 25 to start my character build and had 3 mil and capped myself from going below 1 mil unless if necessary. Also try to go with one type of armor set on your character to get bonus stats for max potential

I think the difficulty is not to go from 100 damage to 500 damage, but from 1000 damage to 20000 damage. How the hell do some people's Xiao deal 50000 damage while my maxed out xiao only do around 20000?
Prolly cuz of better crit ratio/ artifacts stats/ other characters buffing their xiao (like bennett)/ better weapons/ more constellations/ more higher talents level.

Quick note about something at the end: elemental mastery only increases damage dealt by elemental reactions, not the elemental abilities themselves. EM is useful for reaction characters like burst or enablers, definetly not the main DPS. I guess you know it already but since its said in a really vague way in the video people may think that EM increases elemental damage.
Edit: im not the best one to ask for knowledge, i just know how certain mechanics work. If you have questions about teamcomps, character building and such, i'd suggest to ask people who actualy know.

@YUNHONLY exactly, you'd prefer EM on elemental suppor characters like Fischl or Kaeya, characters that you only put them in the field to cast an ability and then go back to your main DPS (this is all with the efficient/meta team-comps and playstyles in mind, no one would force you to play in a certain way)
I still don't know what excatly meanings of those elemental reactions, elemental mastery and burst can you explain them please ?
@@2oe.9 elemental reactions is what happens when an enemy is affected by an element and you affect it with a different element, that causes an effect depending on the elements involved. Lets say you proc electro on an enemy and then proc pyro on them, that creates overload which dealr AoE pyro damage, elemental mastery increases the damage of said reaction, npt the initial elemental damage dealt.

Fischl and xianyan as well. I think the electro/pyro combo is the best in the game
That's a cute combo, but Bennet is the one I combo with. Heal? Yes. Apply aoe pyro? Yes. +80% attack boost? Yes. My Fiscl will crit 3k-4k while Oz crits another 4-5k overload damage simultaneously. Also got +Pyro on Bennett's goblet and fully upgraded his talent. He crits 5k+ himself. Huge burst. Working on Raiden Shogun (new girl) to make the combo even more wonky. The more you burst, the more resolve she gets. The more resolve, the more her burst charges up. On top of that, her elemental skill boosts burst dmg for your team. With Fiscl and Bennet constantly spamming, every minute or so Raiden gets to do her 200% burst INSIDE OF Bennets +80% boost. I only have Raiden at level 5 (training her passively) with unupgraded gear but playing with the combo she's still hitting 2k easy.

I just wanted to say thank you, I know this video is three years old so you probably won't see this but I've been quest stuck because I was to weak to defeat a boss and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get stronger and I decided youtube w as the option and this was the second video I watched and the most helpful. Chongyun's elemental skill increases attack speed by 8% I want to get the artifact set that reduces your stamina cost to 0 for 10 seconds after killing an enemy and increases charged attack damage by 50% With his charged spin that never runs out. It's going to be NUTTY.
im looking to do that with noelle, since her elemental ability also heals the party with every other hit. it also fun that she uses def as a complement to damage, so you can build atk + def, and you will have a tank, healer, damage and support all rolled into one.

This actually helped me realize what I’m doing wrong. I’ve always been trying to “save” my artifact level up thingys, but I didn’t realize that they give the same exp it took to level them to a certain level when leveling other artifacts. I will definately do this with xiangling.

I'm so glad I learned how to make artifact sets. Before (under ar 30) I only did 2 digit damage but now (ar 50) I deal 8k to 70k damage. Thank you so much Mtashed for making this video.

Lolol if ur less than ar 35 don't waste ur money with upgrading 3 or 4 star artifact u get lot of them just by talking to people in game (side characters)I'm ar 53 almost 54 I play this game for 3 months (less or more) I have few 5 star characters u can easily get them tbh, try don't waste ur primo and don't use fragile resin at all until ar 45 ,I can help u with game, Goodluck
