INSIDE NORWEGIAN PRIMA HAVEN
The Haven amenities on Norwegian Prima are located on Decks 16 and 17. All of the suites in the Norwegian Prima Haven are at the back of the ship. Thus, all cruisers staying in this "ship within a ship" complex have direct access to the private bank of aft elevators.
On Deck 16, you will find the Concierge desk as soon as you exit the elevators. Here, you can get help with dining reservations, show reservations, as well as other support services. There is also the Haven Lounge where like minded travelers can meet to discuss the day over a drink or perhaps relax with a good book.
There are actually two bars in the Haven on NCL Prima, one in the lounge and the other outdoors on the sundeck. Both bars serve up classic cocktails as well as a few new favorites that debuted on this ship.
Also on Deck 16, there is the Haven Restaurant. Here, those staying in The Haven can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Reservations are not required to dine here. The menu served at the Haven Restaurant features more upscale offerings that you won't find in the main dining rooms, like surf and turf.
Lastly, there is the two story Haven Sundeck. This is perhaps the best upgrade to The Haven on NCL Prima. Here, guests staying in this exclusive area will find an infinity pool, two whirlpools, a sauna, and an ice room. It is like your own private little spa on Norwegian Prima. Not to mention, there are plenty of lounge chairs daybeds, and an al fresco dining area for the Haven Restaurant.
BENEFITS OF THE HAVEN ON NORWEGIAN PRIMA
The Haven is home to the most luxurious suites on the ship. We stayed in a Penthouse Suite cabin, which had plenty of storage, a king bed, a well appointed bathroom, and several upgraded features.
Like all Haven suites, we had butler service as well as a stateroom attendant. This team is here to make sure all your needs are met. Further, Haven guests get complimentary room service and priority embarkation/disembarkation.
Those staying in the Haven also have priority access to the entertainment venues. This includes a reserved sitting area in the Prima Theater and early entrance to live music in venues like Syd Norman's Pour House.
Not to mention, those in The Haven get all of the Free at Sea perks, including specialty dining, WiFi, shore excursion credit, and a drink package.
While staying in The Haven on Norwegian Cruise Line, you get to experience the exquisite and luxurious private areas, but you also have access to the rest of the ship. So, cruisers can enjoy activities like the Prima Speedway and Galaxy Pavilion or dine at one of the many specialty restaurants on the ship.
The Norwegian Prima Haven is truly the best of both worlds. For those with the means to do so, staying in this area is certainly an upgrade! Though, only you can decide if The Haven is worth it for you and your travel party.

Have you stayed in The Haven on Norwegian Cruise Line? How do you think the one on Norwegian Prima compares to the others in the fleet?
You make some good points. I have stayed in the Haven on multiple NCL ships. When I get home from the cruise I tell myself there is no deed to spend that much money on a cruise since there is so much to do on the ship. Sure enough when its time to book again, I book the Haven. However I dont cruise as much as I used to. No way I can afford a Haven cruise every year. So now I cruise every so many years.
Ut seems so serene I could see myself rarely wanting to venture out of the Haven. Thanks

I loved haven and we always enjoy the upgraded priority perks.
You answered a question I always wanted to know. No stairs to get to Haven facilities from your cabin. All suites must take an elevator. I am used to staying in the Haven and walking down the hall to breakfast. I wonder what its like waiting for an elevator to get there. Does it make you feel like an outsider?
The elevator bank is tucked away, so it is private. We didn’t feel like an outsider at all.
A lot of people do think it is worth it. We are cruising in Nov and Dec and the Haven was the first area to sell out.

I’m always tempted by the “ship within a ship” VIP/concierge concept, but then it kind of just looks boring. And when I do the math, it pencils out to I’d rather cruise on an ultra-premium line. The math just doesn’t math and the perks don’t perk enough.
Valid point, especially when there is so much to enjoy on the ship outside of the Haven.
Since 2015 we have done 4 NCL Haven cruises
Breakaway x2, Encore, Joy.
We are booked for a Transatlantic 11 day Spain to NYC on Prima Aft Owners Haven deluxe lg balcony. In 2023.
The Breakaway class Haven ships all have an indoor pool for Haven guests, does the Prima?
I like the elevators for Haven guests only on Prima, the Breakaway class uses crew / freight elevators in port only for Haven guests.
Note The Joy does not have Sauna/ Steam room in the Haven. The Breakaway and Encore did .
It appears Prima has a Sauna and cold room.
The Haven Resturant appears bigger on Prima then Breakaway class.
Also - do not ever book the forward facing Haven suite on a Breakaway class
Unless you don't mind walking thru a narrow hallway usually crowded with other guests, room service and house keeping carts, half way down the length of the ship 125 yards to access the mid ship elevators

You can certainly still have a great cruise on NCL Prima without staying in the Haven!
