Niiiiice!! 👌🏼
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your Knowledge.
That was a good one, but I would have loved some more details on FX chains on guit channels and, most of all, reasons that pushed you to choose a certain sound on a specific track. I know, you gave us a lot and it's free, still... 😁
This was specifically for the production of guitar parts, not for mixing, which is totally separate, you don’t want that when explaining guitar production.
Also, choosing tones is totally specific to each individual song, but no matter what you choose, as long as it fits the song there’s no wrong answers! As long as you record it well, use new strings, use GOOD amps and GOOD amp sims, GOOD guitars, and play your parts very well (and in tune) it will be great!
Great!
Gold! Nice to see professionals breaking down production on the level. Well done 👏
This has been one of my favorite productions in country for the last couple years. Thanks for this one dude!

Fantastic tutorial. ! really halped a lot
Nice! Thanks Forest!
Professional! Many thx!
As a metalhead who’s taken a recent interest in country, I really appreciate these
cool arrangement tricks for guitars and concepts about layering.
Thank you so much for reducing my lack of knowledge in guitar production. Very much appreciated ! Love from germany.
soooo goood
I love these vids!! An insiders view of how it goes down. Keep on doing more. Much love Forest!!
Forest you are such a great teacher as well as producer! Thanks for breaking this down and showing us under the hood. Great and useful ideas!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I really enjoyed this break down. Each guitar part adds a nice touch to the song. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome! Thanks for the insights!
Ah thank you! This is the exact video I was looking for right now! So helpful
I love this type video. It gives us little guys an inside look at how a professional works. Very helpful.
Bro how did I just find your channel. Dude thanks so much for taking your valuable time to share your knowledge, great stuff!
Love this!!
One of my favorite producers in any genre, love these tutorials and how you break them down to the base level for rookies like me to even understand. Awesome work and thank you.
That was an eye opener for sure. Thank ya!
This is awesome!
this is incredibly helpful, thank you
I was waiting for this one. Thanks Forest!!
bro that guitar is soooo clean sounding!
This is awesome. I can’t believe I am just finding your channel.
Keep it up, you’re gonna need a bigger plaque wall behind you soon. 🤘
Appreciate the subscribe!
Another great tutorial! Thanks Forest. One thing I would love you to do a video on would be how you decide on tempo and feel of your final recording from a guitar/vocal demo. Thanks again
Thanks Forest- always great content'!
Thank you so much for sharing this!!! It's my big dream to produce my own pop country rock songs and dissecting guitar parts like this is absolutely what I needed!
Such a cool guy!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you aim these videos directly at the song writer trying to produce and write in their home studios! Would you approach Americana (Jason Isbell) and Chris Stapleton styled productions the same way? Keep this content coming!!!!
these videos are BADASS dude. THANK YOU
Fireee🔥🔥🔥
Man! I just LOVE what you do! Your sound is awesome. You are my favorite country music producer though your impact for me is more than country! Being a new producer writer, you inspire my work. I think I write great country songs but being a non singer and new in the business, I am afraid my songs won't get the opportunities they deserve. But I am going to stick with it and one day hope to collaborate with you. What a privilege and joy that would be. Fan and follower and long distance learner.
Fantastic! Love your approach. This video really opened up my ears and is going to inspire far more inventive playing in my session work. Thanks for posting this. Stay well!!
awesome video! the tones are great

Beautiful. It would be awesome if you follow this up with a video on your approach to balancing and mixing these tracks. Thanks. God Bless.
Just mixing the guitars or the track as a whole?
@@forestwhitehead Thanks for the reply Forest. The track as a whole would be even better.
@@nilanshgaur It will have to be a different track (copyright stuff) but I will make a mixing video for you that is very close to this session!
@@forestwhitehead Looking forward to it. Thanks.
great video! y best in logic pro!
Man this is so great. So informative. This is very clear in answering an uninformed vocalist's question as to "why cant you sound like the recording?", in a live venue. Hmm. Could it be,,, I'm only one guitar?
Super informative as always. Someday it’d be nice to hear more in depth about your EQ’ing process fitting everything in the mix
I love to use DeEssers on Acoustic guitar tracks if they are supporting the electrics. Great that you shared these tips. Thanks for sharing 🙏
❤❤❤. Just found ya. Love ur channel
Good stuff Forest. As a novice with producing, I found this video very helpful. Thank you!
Please make more video on that love your work
More coming!
He does great work.....
Can you a video where you create a full country song from scratch that would be awesome
Yep the next one coming out is how to start a song. It takes hours for me to build and mix a full track but I may live-stream a session like that.
Very cool Forest < like!
What, Bro, this was yours? I was sooo into that song and production! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great video and production skills. I will try this too in my next production. Would like to hear these guitars in the mix. Is there a link to listen to the final song elsewhere? Excellent job 👍
Thanks Forest! Love you videos and love this song! I really like the slide licks in the choruses as well. I also like Heaven Down Here - have you changed anything in your approach with that song. Great guitar depth - would like to understand your approach to reverb, EQ, and panning of guitars.
I'll try to get a mixing video up soon!
Wish i could get a track from you!
Whats your email? Ill send one over.
When your guitars get panned, do they get hard panned ,,, or only slightly....? Great video Forest......
I always mix LCR so always hard panned wide
I just found you and I saw you from another video on youtube I would love to collab with you. I am a pop/country/hiphop/trap producer from Nebraska!!
How can I inquire about getting a session with you or having my music produced by you? I'm on the hunt for a producer, new to the country music world so not sure how it all works
Why do you perpetuate bad taste? Or am I not evolving? Call me! ?
