Thanks for uploading another helpful vid! I was wondering for transferring, would you say that following the average gpa for transfer students online would be a good indication of how likely you would be accepted into a specific college or should we reach higher than the average?

Also about how many colleges did both of you apply to for transfer?

Yes! The GPA's and stats that are online (especially the data that comes from the actual school) are good indicators on your chances of acceptance. It is always good to be at least in the 75th percentile GPA as it means you're competitive, especially for the impacted majors. But your GPA isn't the end all be all. Your EC's and essays have weight as well so don't freak out if your GPA isn't the best. Focus on other aspects of your application!

Thank you for this video! I just had one question. In the process of transferring to a competitive school like UCLA, does it make sense to submit AP credit of a 3 or should I just take the class again?

As a transfer the only weight your AP scores will have is when using them for credit, so technically a 3 vs. a 5 won't affect your chances BUT depending on your major, only certain scores will be counted for credit. I suggest you look up the AP credit chart on the UC site and double check with your major that you can get credit for a certain score. Assist will also tell you if a certain score/AP test can be used in lieu of a requirement. Again, the specifications all differ between schools and majors so just be careful when using/counting your AP credit. Often times people mess up with the units or think a score excused a requirement and after applying only do they realize they didn't complete their requirements.

I am currently attending a cal state but my dream school is UCLA. However, I am already going to complete my sophomore year this semester, Do you think transferring to a community college for my junior year and doing the TAP program would be a good idea to get into UCLA for my senior year at least. PLS if anyone can assist with this question that be so helpful I am so confused on what to do lol.
