    Wow. I love the rv bus. So luxury. I can picture myself retirement with traveling on an rv bus. Thanks Richard for mentioning my channel. Thanks for the two home made lures that you sent to me. I have not tried them due to crabbing lately. I just caught a couple lings with the small lures and very happy with them. I did mention your website in the video I just uploaded yesterday.

    To be fair maybe you should compare kingfishers off shore to Duckworths off shore boats. You are comparing their coastal boat which is not as wide or deep ect.. as their off shore to Duckworths off shore boat. I love them both but lets do apples to apples. Just saying.

    • @richstiefel

    Thanks for doing the comparison enjoy it. The only thing is they’re not boats like for like the Kingfisher was an bay cruiser not the offshore model

  • @speener88

    Im starting to like the duckworths more. Big northriver OS fan.. Deepest vee in the game and great quality. they don't have the best interior fit and finish but very seaworthy boat. The kingfisher offshore or even the new GFX has wider beam and deeper vee than the costal series shown in this video.

  • @Kingfisher2225
    @Kingfisher2225 Před 3 lety +8

    Both owned by the same company, Bolton Marine Group with Kingfisher being the mother company. Good attributes in both boats no boat can escape criticism. Two different boat styles here in two different price groups not a fare comparison at all.

    • @richstiefel
      @richstiefel  Před 3 lety +2

      Two price points agreed
      but I have been messaged by several viewers requesting what my thoughts are on Kingfisher boats and the lower price point boats so this is more of a comparison what the extra money will get you
      Yes I know that this was not the offshore model but the offshore has the same build quality that I saw on the coastal express
      Also this was not an technical comparison it was just a spur of the moment comments on what I saw and my personal opinions
      Your comments appreciated and welcome
      Thanks for watching

      @Kingfisher2225 Před 3 lety +2

      FYI the sides on the Kingfisher are 37” the Duckworth 40” so that’s 3” not half an arms length. As well I would prefer the keel guard over no keel guard as the DW has.

    • @Kingfisher2225
      @Kingfisher2225 Před 3 lety +2

      Also the reason KF does not run the engine bracket to the bull bottom is less drag. When at idle or sitting it sits in the water providing buoyancy but when under plane it’s out of the water causing less drag.

    • @adamvanes9955
      @adamvanes9955 Před 3 lety

      You’re comparing an offshore Duckworth to a coastal kingfisher. Try comparing offshore to offshore they are more than comparable. Other than that love your channel! Trump 2024!

    • @richstiefel
      @richstiefel  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes it works great for my purpose (short trips to the boat launch and storage )
      And an occasional long trip (with an airbag setup)
      If you are going to make alot of longer trips such as 100 miles or more I would recommend a diesel 2500

    It's been mentioned many times that you are comparing an offshore boat to a coastal boat but I wanted to mention that the kingfisher is lighter by about 1300lbs dry weight to dry weight so trailering will be easier and you will need less power to push it through the water and therfore burn less gas so if you aren't going far off shore it might be a better boat.

      Spent a lot of time on the Kingfisher 2825 then on a Hewes Alaskan the Kingfisher beats you to death very painful ride and you could actually feel it twist and flex!!! The Hewes, smooth like butter.

    • @richstiefel
      @richstiefel  Před 3 lety +1

      The 1500 works for short trips and relatively flat ground but if you have to do long-distance and hills you definitely want the 3/4 ton diesel

    Crap Trumper you compared a Kingfish coastal model to Duckworth. I hope you did that by mistake. If you did it knowingly you should really get into used cars! The offshore Kingfisher is set up way better than your lead sled Duckworth. The Kingfisher offshore models are faster and have way more range than your Duck Hunting boat and pound for pound way tougher. You Duckworth is fine for putting around the Marina but if you want to head offshore ,step up to the Offshore Kingfisher. One nice hidden feature your Duckworth has is you can use it for a berthing tug if you want. Just throw a tractor tire on the bow and Shazam, you got yourself a tug.
    Cheers
    From Canada

    how about u compare ur duckworthless 28’ offshore vs stabicraft 2750ucc 😉 for sure duckie’s is better than kingfisher in ride but if u wanna talk about stability n buoyancy., ur duckie wont be able to handle itself with a stabi 2750ucc..
